Dena R. Stevenson, 73, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at home. She was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Picciano Distefanis. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Jeannette. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Stevenson; a son, Robert G. Stevenson and his wife, Susan, of Jeannette; a daughter, Dena E. O'Brien and her husband, Bruce, of Latrobe; seven grandchildren, Kristen M. Rehak, Aaron R., Katherine L., Ilaine M. and Gabrielle D. Stevenson, Casey M. and Shannon L. O'Brien; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Clara Koslofsky, Virginia Novak and Lena Varndell, all of Michigan, Dee Jay Dennis of Ohio, Shirley Weirs of Michigan, and Chi Chi Hughes of Arizona; a brother, James Distefanis of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, 1130 Century Building, 130 Seventh St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Carl E. Stuchel, 77, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at his home. He was born July 3, 1922, in Blairsville, a son of the late William R. and Vera Ackerson Stuchell. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician by U.S. Steel, Irvin Works. He also grew and sold Christmas trees for the holiday season at his home. One of his pastimes was woodworking. He was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church and AARP 3221, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Julia Marie McCoy Stuchel; three daughters, Patty Stuchel of North Huntingdon, Mrs. R. MacDonald (Peggy) Cunningham of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Michael (Connie) Noel of Raleigh, N.C.; three brothers, Robert Stuchell of Thompsontown, Pa., Samuel Stuchell of Blairsville and William Stuchell of Mansfield, Ohio; a sister, Mary Cochran of Blairsville; and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Sunday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Franklin Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circleville United Methodist Church, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
Elinore M. Allison, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, in the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Scottdale, a daughter of the late Charles and Edith June Myer Milliron. She retired from the Mt. Pleasant Area School District after 35 years of service. During this time she was the secretary at Ramsay High School and following the jointure of the Mt. Pleasant Borough and Mt. Pleasant Township school districts, she was the first business manager until her retirement. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, a life member of the Westmoreland Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and the Women's Club of Mt. Pleasant. She is survived by her husband, Howard J. Allison; a stepson, Thomas H. Allison of Plum Borough; a brother, Charles E. Milliron and his wife, Lillian, of Rockwood; a sister, Marjorie Murtha of Mt. Pleasant; and nine nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert C. Milliron. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Yost officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
Cynthia L. Antolik-Fiola, 38, of Monroeville, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999. Wife of James V. Fiola of Monroeville. Daughter of Betty Antolik and the late Pete Antolik. Mother of James "Jimbo" Fiola. Sister of Barb Parks of Florida, John Antolik of Turtle Creek, Mary Chris Rogel of Bakerstown, Rick Antolik of Turtle Creek, Patti Schill of Monroeville, Robert Antolik of Turtle Creek and the late Paul and Suzy Antolik. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., corner of Shaw and Triboro avenues, Turtle Creek, where services will be Monday at 1 p.m. Cyndi was known to her family and many friends for her sense of humor, love of life, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
David T. Baker Sr., 89, of Saltsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at home. He was born Jan. 12, 1910, in Grapeville, a son of the late John and Henrietta Martz Baker. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist at the Elliott Co. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddler's Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve E. Baker; five brothers, Otis, John, Jesse, Dewey and Calvin Baker; and a sister, Elizabeth Backus. He is survived by six sons, David T. Baker Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Irwin, John D. Baker and his wife, Barbara, of Derry, Ronald J. Baker and his wife, Mary Lou, of Thompson, Ohio, Kenneth L. Baker of Claridge, Robert A. Baker and his wife, Ruth, of Jeannette, and Harold G. Baker and his wife, Mitzi, of Claridge; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Hepler of Mt. Pleasant; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Goodling officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
Albert N. Crosby, 73, a resident of the Veterans Administration Home and Hospital for the past 49 years, formerly of South Main Street, Southwest Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born May 6, 1926, in Greensburg, a son of the late Richard Crosby (U.S. Army) and Grace Long Crosby. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, serving as a radio technician, tail gunner and dive bomber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Crosby (U.S. Army), Glenn Crosby (U.S. Army), and Joseph Crosby; and a sister, Margaret Rollock (WAC, U.S. Army). He is survived by six brothers, Howard D. Crosby of San Diego, Calif. (U.S. Navy frogman), Ralph H. Crosby of Greensburg RD5 (U.S. Army), William R. Crosby of Southwest Greensburg (U.S. Navy frogman), Harry C. Crosby of Greensburg, James E. Crosby Sr. of Mt. Pleasant RD6 (U.S. Army), and Clarence E. Crosby of New Lexington, Ohio (U.S. Navy); a sister, June Back of Jeannette; and 31 nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with Mr. William E. Rahl Sr., chaplain of VFW Post 33 Honor Guard, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillview Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard, Greensburg.
M. Genevieve Duncan, 84, of Jeannette, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born March 30, 1915, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late James R. and Martha F. Fellows Duncan. Prior to her retirement, she was a teacher at Jeannette High School. A member of First United Methodist Church, Jeannette, she was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star #69, the Order of the Amaranth, the College Club of Greensburg, and was on the board at Jeannette Public Library. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Duncan; and a sister, Elizabeth Jacobsen. Surviving are a sister, Hazel Brinker of Jeannette; a brother, Dr. James R. Duncan and his wife, Edith, of Fox Chapel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dale W. Roddy officiating. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township. George A. Jordan Jr., 45, of Dravosburg, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born Jan. 6, 1954, in Homestead, a son of Audrey Shepherd Jordan of Munhall and the late George A. Jordan Sr. George was a former owner of Club Gemini in Dravosburg. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey Barbaris of Mechanicsville, Md., and Robin Hutchison of McKeesport; seven brothers, Robert of McKeesport, Ronald of Dravosburg, Bryan and Richard, both of Port Vue, Michael of McKeesport, Gary of West Mifflin and Larry of Munhall; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at STRIFFLERS' OF DRAVOSBURG/WEST MIFFLIN, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m. with Father Dennis Colamarino officiating.
Joseph J. "Geevee" Lucarelli Sr., 83, of Monroeville, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999. Son of the late Angelo and Vincenza (Pisano) Lucarelli. Husband of the late Mildred "Millie" (Vuic) Lucarelli. Beloved father of Marilyn "Chuby" Lucarelli, Bernadine "Bernie" (Bobby) Marcoz, Joseph J. (Marilyn) Lucarelli Jr. and Debbie "Dee" (Guy) DiMatteo. Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary Devito and the late Anna Lobozzo, Lewis "Tubby, " Leo and Anthony "Lukie" Lucarelli. Numerous nieces and nephews. Foster R. McNair, 8O, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999. He was born Dec. 18, 1918, in North Carolina, a son of the late Deverreau and Blanche Brown McNair. Foster was raised in Standard and was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. He was a resident of Mt. Pleasant since 1950. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the steel industry for over 43 years for USX. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. Foster was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Connellsville. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Cora J. Groce McNair; his loving children, Marvin J. McNair and his wife, Bonita, of Greensburg, Barbara A. Howard and Debra S. Pinkney, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Corrine M. Johnson and her husband, Glenn, of Mt. Pleasant; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Martin McNair and Robert Joseph McNair, both of Baltimore, Md., Daniel McNair of Lawnside, N.J., and Thomas McNair of Marion, Ind.; and three sisters, Edna Billy of New York, Ruth Henderson and Genivieve Nicholas, both of Fayetteville, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Stephen F. McNair; a brother, Coleman McNair; and a sister, Thelma Stanton. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E.
