She was a waitress at the White Horse Tavern in Chepachet for 2 years until 1999 when she
retired due to illness. Before that she was a teller at the RI State Employees Credit Union in
Pascoag for 5 years. She lived all of her life in Burrillville. She was a firefighter for the Oakland - Mapleville
Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years.

He worked for the Hinkley & Allen Law Firm in Providence, as a record keeper for 10 years, retiring in 1996. He also worked for the RI. Department of Motor Vehicles (Registry) as an investigator, for 40 years, retiring in 1987. A North Smithfield resident for the last month, previously living in Woonsocket where he lived most of his life.
Mr. Lavallee was also a Navy Veteran in WWII.

Brother Albert LaBadie, S.C.
Brother Albert LaBadie, S.C. (Brother Marius) age 82 of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Provincial House, Pascoag RI. Died November 26, 2002 after a lengthy illness at Pine Grove Health Care Center, where he had resided since 1996. Born Sept. 30, 1920 in New Bedford MA, he was the son of the late Alphee and Rose Anna (Bosse) LaBadie. Bro. Albert attended Sacred Heart Juniorate in Granby, Quebec, Canada, having entered the brothers in 1936. He professed his first vows in 1939 at Monte Sacre Coeur, Granby, Quebec, and his final vows in 1945, also at Mont Sacre Coeur. Brother Albert received teaching Diploma’s from the Quebec Education Department in 1940 and again in 1943. He also studied at the Summer Institute for French Teachers at the former St. Francis College in Biddeford ME. In 1969 and 1970.Brother Albert began his educational career in Canada serving in Magog and Verdun. He returned in the United States beginning in 1944, and he was assigned to the Sacred Heart School, Sharon MA, St Louis School, Nashua NH, Sacred Heart School, Andover MA, MT. St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket, RI, and Saint Andre Scholl in Biddeford ME. Brother Albert taught all the middle school grade levels and also served as prefect of students in boarding schools. He was assigned to the Provincial House in 1974, until he went to Pine Grove in 1996. During his retirement years he researched extensively in the area of family genealogy. Brother Albert took pride in the fact of his 50th Anniversary of Religious life in 1989 was attended by his father who was 100 years old at the time.Brother Albert was also proud of the fact that his birthday was the same date as the Foundation Day of the order of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. He had celebrated 63 years of religious life in August 2002. Brother Albert is survived by two sisters, Therese Landry of Fairhaven MA, and Sister Irene Marie LaBadie,OP, of Valleyfield, Quebec and two brothers Emile of Acushnet MA, and Edward of Hartford CT. The wake will be held at the Provincial House, 685 Steere Farm Rd. Pascoag Sunday December 1, 2002from 7 - 9pm., with a Vigil Service at 8 pm. The funeral Mass will take place in the Chapel of the Provincial House at 4pm on Monday December 2, 2002. Burial will be in Brother’s Cemetery in Pascoag. Husband of the late Mildred (Harrison) Hill and the late Doreen (Simpson) Hill
He was born on September 2, 1925, in Pawtucket, RI
Son of the late William and Emma (Hulme) Hill.
He was a mold maker for Polytop Co. in Slatersville retiring in 1987. He worked in local area machine shops as a machinist. He served his apprenticeship, for machinist - toolmaker for the former Universal Winding Co. in Cranston. He owned and operated the former L.P. Brown Manafacturing Co. in Atterboro MA. He was a Pascoag resident of 30 years, he also lived in Worcester VT. for 15 years, he was raised in the Greystone part of North Providence. A WW11 Navy veteran serving in the submarine division, serving in the Phillippine's. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Centerdale. He was a baseball coach for the Burrillville Little League.

Before that she worked as a bartender for the Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick for 1 year and Geraldo's in Providence for 8 years. She is a member of carpenters union local 271 for six years. She lived in both Providence and Cranston for the last 15 years, previously living in Burrillville for 22 years.

Goodwin, Frederick "Fred" O., 85 ,of Providence Pike, North Smithfield, RI died September 19, 2002 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI Husband of Constance (Phillips) Goodwin.
He was born July 5, 1917, in Lonsdale, RI Son of the late Francis and Ethel (Sheldon) Goodwin.
He and his brother Warren owned and opreated Goodwin's Farm in North Smithfield since 1964. Before that he was a district manager for General Mills Company in Middleboro, MA 28 years retiring in 1964. He was a lifelong North Smithfied resident. He was a avid fisherman and sportsman and was a member of many area sportsman clubs.

She was a resident of Burrillville since 1942. She was a member of the following organizations, Burrillville Senior Citizens, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, First Universalist Church in Harrisville, and also a member of the church Guild.
