Mary E. Buss, 88, of 17 Pleasant St. died Tuesday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late George T. J. Buss.
Born (1-24-15) in the Valley Falls section of Cumberalnd she was a daughter of the late Eugene and K. Theresa (Connors) Archambault. She was a life long Cumberland resident.
She was employed by the former Sub Galley, Cumberland for 15 years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Cumberalnd. She was a former volunteer at Children’s Museum of R I when the facility was located in Pawtucket.
She leaves three sons, George E. Buss of Bowie, MD, Paul J. Buss of Cumberland and John F. Buss of Aurora, CO. Five daughters, Mary Cecile Piette of Hebron, CT, Kathleen M. LaSalle of Lakeland, FL, Christina M. Searles, Patricia E. Elliott and Rose M. Jannarelli all of Cumberalnd. Twenty three grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Margaret F. Buss.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Broad St., Cumberalnd. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

Louis J. “Joe” Garceau, 81, of 104 McGirr St., Cumberland died Tuesday in The Holiday Nursing Center, Manville. He was the husband of Catherine (Walsh) Garceau.
Born (8-22-1922) in the Valley Falls section of Cumberland he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Gertrude (Pryor) Garceau. He was a life long Cumberland resident.
He was employed by the former Ciba Geigy Chemical Co., Cranston for 21 years retiring in 1985.
He was a WW II, U. S. Navy veteran serving in the European and Pacific Theatres of Operations.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Cumberland. He was a member of the St. Patrick and St. Aidan Seniors and was also a member of the LeFoyer Club, Pawtucket.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Barbara Goodier of Cumberland and Mary Ann Brooks of Cameron, NC. Two sons, Joseph E. Garceau of Garner, NC and John Garceau of Seekonk, MA. Thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Edward Garceau.

Dante C. “Danny” Finelli, 92, of 818 Lower River Rd. died Friday in the Haven Health Center, Pawtucket. He was the husband of Shirley (Goyette) Finelli.
Born (4-29-11) in Pascoag he was a son of the late Thomas and Amelia (Desner) Finelli. He resided in Lincoln for the past 6 years previously living in Central Falls for 33 years.
He was employed by the Acme Tackle Co., Providence for over 25 years retiring in 1987. He has previously worked in the jewelry industry for many years.
Besides his wife he leaves one sister, Anna Migliaccio of Bristol. Several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday with a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

Ana M. Rodrigues, 47, of 10 Forestview Dr. died, Sunday in the Women’s and Infant’s Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Jose J. Rodrigues.
Born (9-6-56) in Moradia, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal she was the daughter of Jose and Dalia (Pinheiro) Lopes of Cumberland. She came to this country in 1967 with her parents, settling in Cumberland.
She was employed by the A. T. Cross Co., Lincoln for the past 15 years. She was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland.
Besides her husband and parents she leaves two sons, Jason J. and Jaime J. Rodrigues both of Cumberland. A brother, Jose Lopes of Lake Mary, FL and a sister, Maria Lopes Bakos of Cumberland. A granddaughter, Olivia May Martin Rodrigues. Several nieces and nephews.

Henry M. Maziarz, 78, of 51 Chestnut Grove, died Sunday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the wife of Claire (Wright) Maziarz.
Born (1-4-1926) in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas and Henrietta (Jakudowski) Maziarz. He has resided in Cumberland for the past 44 years.
He was employed by the Hindley Mfg. Co., Cumberland for the past 28 years. He was previously a self employed contractor.
Mr. Maziarz was a US Navy Veteran of the Submarine Service, serving during World War II and Korea. While serving in World War II, he was stationed on the U.S.S. Cavalla, and while serving in Korea, he was stationed on the U.S.S. Tigrone.
He was a member of the American Legion - Post 14, Cumberland. A member of the Submarine Force Library Association. He was a member of the former Unity Lodge F&AM of Cumberland. A member of the Polish White Eagles, Cumberland. Mr. Maziarz was an avid golfer, and for many years had organized golfing excursions to New Seabury, on Cape Cod..
He leaves two sons, James Maziarz of Pawtucket, and John Maziarz of Woonsocket. One Daughter, Judith Spinnelli of Johnston. One brother, John Maziarz of Cumberland. Two sisters, Jen Wryostek of Pawtucket, and Jean Golembocki of Virginia. Three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Matthew Maziarz.

David J. Robidoux, 78, of 1 Mendon Rd., died Sunday in Baybury Commons, Pascoag. He was the husband of Theresa H. (Lambert) Robidoux.
Born (8-14-1925) in the Albion section of Lincoln he was a son of the late Napoleon and Clara (Lusiganan) Robidoux. He resided in Cumberland for the past 8 months previously living at Cumberland Hill Rd., Woonsocket for 27 years.
He was employed by the former Jannell Truck Body Co., Woonsocket for 22 years retiring in 1981. He was previously employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway Co. for 32 years. After his retirement he worked part time for the Little General Store, Cumberland Hill Rd., Woonsocket.
He was a voulinteer Fire Fighter with the Manville Fire Department for 22 years. He loved traveling.
Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Suzanne Leduc of Ramseur, NC, Joanne Y. Webber of Barrington and Linda Pina of Harrisville. One brother, Roger Robidoux of Albion. Three sisters, Jeanne Martin and Cecile Lauzon both of Albion and Martha Cote of North Smithfield. Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gerald, Fernand, Antoine and Joseph Robiboux.

Carl Bartlett Cooke, 55 of Valrico, Florida, formerly of Central Falls, died Thursday January 8th at his residence in Florida.
Born 7-20-1948 in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Earl R. Cooke, and Marion E. (Otte) Collinge of Woonsocket. Mr. Cooke was raised in Cumberland, moving away from Rhode Island in 1979. He resided in Florida for the past 4 years, previously residing in Conneticuit, New York, Texas, and Canada.
He was Vice President of Sales for the NetTest Inc., of Texas for 3 years. He was previously employed by Siemens Inc., of Germany and Taylor Industrial Software of Canada.
Mr. Cooke was US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.
He was a nationally ranked trap shooter. He was also an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle Enthusiast.
Besides his mother, he leaves one daughter, Kelsey Cooke of Williamsville, NY. One sister, Judy Thomson of Cumberland, RI. Four brothers, Raymond Cooke of Providence, RI, Dennis Cooke of Mashpee, MA, Gordon Cooke of Seffner, FL, and Robert Collinge Jr. of Granite Falls, WA. Several Nieces and Nephews. Father of the late Carl Edwin Cooke.

Constance A. Johnson, 70, of 15 Valley View Drive, died Friday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Kenneth Johnson.
Born (04-27-1933) in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aurore (Blais) Desrosier. She resided in Cumberland for 42 years, previously residing in Woonsocket.
Mrs. Johnson was an inspector for the North American Philips Comany of Slatersville for 17 years, retiring in 1994. She was previously employed by A T Cross of Lincoln for 15 years.
Besides her beloved husband, she leaves one daughter, Diane Decoste of Burrillville, RI. One granddaughter, Victoria Milette of Burrillville. Several Nieces and Nephews. Sister of the late Donald Desrosier.

William J. Pickett, 81, formerly of 9 Grant Avenue, died Tuesday in the Grandview Center, Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Lucina (Rooney) Picket.
Born (2-11-1922) in Valley Falls, he was the son of the late William C. and Elizabeth (Hart) Pickett. He lived in Lincoln for 48 years.
Mr. Pickett was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II in the European Theater of Operations. While in the service he was awarded with a Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal.
He was a communicant of St. Jude Church, and he was active as a usher for the church for many years. He was past commander of the American Legion Kennedy-Collins Post of Pawtucket, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and a member of the Amvets - Post 33 of Pawtucket.
He leaves four daughters, Linda J. Joseph of Pawtucket; Carol A. Medeiros, Gail (Joseph) Dunphy, and Nancy J. Stevens all of Lincoln. Two sons, Robert J. Pickett and Kenneth W. Pickett both of Lincoln. One sister Dorothy Murphy of Murrietta, CA, and John Pickett of Lincoln. Elleven Grandchildren. Twelve Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mariana de Melo Raposo Amaral, 95, of 6 Samuel Stephens Dr., died Thursday in the Mt. St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel da Costa Amaral.
Born (9-18-1908) in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Joaquem and Maria de Gloria Melo (Almeida) Raposo. She came to this country in 1971 settling in Cumberland, she had also lived in Central Falls and moved to Lincoln 21 years ago.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
She was the beloved mother of Saulina Pereira of Lincoln and Manuel daCosta Amaral of Cumberland. Aires da Costa Amaral, Feliciana de Costa and Rogeria Galvao all of Ontario, Canada. The devoted grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Herculano da Costa Amaral and she was also the sister of the late Joao de Melo Raposo and Maria de Melo Tavares.
