Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours are omitted.

Irene S. Botelho, 83, formerly of Elm St., died Thursday in The Holiday, Manville. She was the wife of the late James J. Botelho.

Born (4-10-20) in South Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Cypriano and Theresa (Gomes) Sousa. She was a life long Cumberland resident.

She was a floor lady, employed by Hasbro Industries, Pawtucket for many years retiring in 1974.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

She leaves one son, Arnold K. “Ronnie” Conover of Pawtucket. A brother, Arnold Sousa and a sister Sarah Cahalan both of Cumberland. One niece and four nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Raul Souza Sr. and Anthony
Souza.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church , Diamond Hill Rd. , Cumberland . Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7 p.m.

Cecile Ladouceur, 92, of 10 Rhodes Ave. and formerly of Kennedy Manor, Woonsocket died Tuesday in the Landmark Medical Center , Woonsocket .

She was the wife of the late Anai Ladouceur.

Born ( 5-11-1911 ) in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Odias and Odile (Dupuis) Demers. She was a life long Woonsocket resident.

She was employed for a number of years by the former Miller Electric Co., Woonsocket , retiring in 1976. She had previously been employed by the former French Worsted Co., Woonsocket for over 40 years.

She was a member of the Kennedy Manor Tenants Association, the Dames de St. Ann and was a member of the St. Louis and St. Joseph Senior Citizens.

She leaves a daughter, Lucille G. Paulhus of Cumberland , and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Edgar Demers Raymond Demers and Germaine Ladouceur.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland . Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church , Diamond Hill Rd. , Cumberland . Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery , Woonsocket .

Antonio I. Rosa, 77, of 350 High St., died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Arminda (Branco) Rose.

Born in Obidos, Portugal he was a son of the late Joaquim and Adelina (da Conceicao) Rosa. He came to this country in 1969 settling in Cumberland.

He was employed by the American Insulated Wire Co., So. Attleboro for 22 years retiring in 1992.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Orlando Rosa of Cranston and John Rosa of Cumberland. Four daughters, Maria B. Isidoro of Attleboro, Maria L. Nico and Susan Beausoleil both of Cumberland and Celia Medeiros of North Smithfield.

Four brothers, Celestino Inacio of Pawtucket, Joaquim Inacio, Avelino Inacio and Francisco Inacio all of Portugal. One sister, Maria Inacio of Portugal.

He was also the father of the late Albano Rosa, and brother of the late Craciano Inacio who died in Portugal on the same day as Mr. Rosa, also brother of the late Jose Inacio.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

Doris F. Flowers, 67, of 1 Pilgrim Terrace, died Monday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Dennis W. Flowers.

Born in Norwich, CT, she was the daughter of the late Howard R. and Mary (Doris) Lincoln. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

She was a co-owner with her husband of the former J.E. Brennan Pharmacy Co. of Winthrop Street, Rehobeth. Retiring in 1995.

Besides her beloved husband she leaves one son, Jeffrey D. Flowers of East Greenwich, and Nancy L. Corio of Lincoln. One brother, Ramond Doris of Lincoln. Four grandchildren, Jessica Corio and Steven Corio of Lincoln, and Matthew Flowers and Brian Flowers of East Greenwich.

Her funeral service Friday at 10 A.M. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls.

Swiech, M. Linda (Tattersall)

M. Linda Swiech, 58, of 500 Mendon Rd., died Saturday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. She was the wife of Stephen W. Swiech Jr.

Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Gordon T. and Andrea (Caudier) Tattersall. She resided in Cumberland for the past 35 years previously living in Lincoln.

She was co-owner of the former Accurate Screen Printing Co., Mendon Rd., Cumberland for 20 years. She was previously employed by Citizen Bank, Municipal Bond Division, Providence.

She was a former Vice President and member of the Cumberland Business Association. She was also a former volunteer for the Cumberland School Department.

Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Lisa A. Swiech of . Cumberland. One brother, Joseph G. Tattersall of Ohio.

Funeral Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Burial will be in R. I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.

Jean P. Hamel, 77, of Palomino Drive, died Monday in the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was beloved wife of Napoleon Hamel.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John Lowney and Margaret (Gillespie) Lowney. She resided in Cumberland for the past 25 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Carol J. Leach, of Pawtucket. Two Grandsons, Chris Lumnah, and Jeffrey Leach both of Pawtucket. Sister of the late Katherine Rubin.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 A.M. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in the Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery Daggatt Avenue, Pawtucket.

Donna M. (Glynn) Czarnecki, 55, of Bear Hill Road, died Wednesday at home. She was the wife of Michael Czarnecki.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. Glynn and the late Bertha M. (Wujcik) Glynn. She resided in Cumberland for the past 20 years, previously residing in Attleboro.

She was a bookkeeper for Hillside Construction Company for three years, previously employed by Filenes for one year. She was a part owner of the Southside Florist for a number of years.

She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church, and she was also an avid sports advocate for her daughters, and her daughters friends.

Besides her husband she leaves two beloved daughters, Sara Mae Czarnecki and Amy Theresa Czarnecki, both at home in Cumberland. One brother, Francis R. Glynn of Pawtucket. Three sisters, Patricia A. Burns of Rehoboth, MA, Kathleen A. Quebec of Burrilville, and Winifred A. Glynn of Seekonk.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 A.M. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt.122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in the St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Newell Burring Ground in Attleboro.

Stella B. McLaughlin
Stella B. McLaughlin, 89, formerly of 52 Grove Street, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004 in the Mt. St. Francis Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late John J. McLaughlin.

Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of John and Victoria (Starbeck) Lacki. She resided in Lincoln for 57 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

She was a communicant of the St. Jude Church, Lincoln for many years.

She is survived by one son, Michael McLaughlin of Lincoln. One daughter, Jamie McLaughlin of Providence. One Brother, Benjamin Lacki of Pawtucket. Two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Sister of the late Alice Keegan and Nellie Cranshaw.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 9 A.M. in the St. Jude Church, Lincoln.

Cecile R. Henderson, 82, of Bear Hill Village, formerly of Mendon Road, died Monday in the Oakland Grove Nursing Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late John R. Henderson.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hermine (Girard) Asselin. She resided in Cumberland for 17 years.

She was a Nurses Aide for the former Carties Health Center, Central Falls for many years, retiring in 1980.

She leaves one daughter, Patricia Botelho of The Villages, FL, two sons, John T. Henderson of Chepachet, Richard Henderson of Cumberland. One sister, Bernadette Choiniere of Woonsocket. Nine Grandchildren, Eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Hermas Asselin, Jeanette Morrison, and Marcel Asselin.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 A.M. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in the St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the R.I. Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.

Clarence "Jerry" Fugere, 79, of Mendon Road, died Sunday in the Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn (Dorn) Fugere. They were married for 58 years.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Gagnon) Fugere. He resided in Cumberland for 21 years, spending his retirement years in Mission, Texas.

He was a supervisor for Electric Boat, retiring in 1987, and was previously employed as a welding supervisor for the Mossberg-Hubbard Company of Cumberland for 25 years.

Mr. Fugere was United States Navy, World War II Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre of operations.

He was a member of the Jessie Roamers Motorcycle Club of Pawtucket for many years.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves two sons, Wayne Fugere of Rogers, AK, and Robert Fugere of North Smithfield, RI. Two daughters, Darlene Reilly of Cumberland, RI, and Karen Fugere of Chippewa Falls, WI. Two brothers, Normand Fugere of Lincoln, RI, and Noel Fugere of Wilmington, MA. Eight Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 A.M. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in the St. Ambrose Church, School Street Lincoln. Committal services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2004 in the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Mendon Road, Cumberland.
