THE REV. FRANK ELWOOD BRAY - South Kingstown
THE REV. FRANK ELWOOD BRAY, 75, of Jamaica Plain, Mass., an Episcopal clergyman, died Friday at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, of cancer.
He was the husband of Alice C. (Benford) Bray. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Rev. Ralph Bray and the late Alice C. (Tarbell) Bray.
Mr. Bray was the rector of St. Luke's Church, Malden, Mass., from 1979 to 1990, and a chaplain for the Bristol County House of Corrections and St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford. He was a board member of the Roslindale (Mass.) Association for Community Development, and a career education counsel of a middle school.
He received a master's degree in divinity from the Episcopal Theological School, Cambridge, Mass., in 1954, and a bachelor's degree from Westminster College in 1951.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Bray served with the Army Corps of Engineers in Burma and India. He was active with many organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Massachusetts Audubon Society and the Clerical Club of Boston.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Janice E. Marks of Wakefield and Beatrice D. Bray of Brighton, Mass.; three sons, Bruce C. Bray of Westford, Mass., Thomas G. Bray of Roslindale and Jonathan R. Bray of Sturbridge, Mass.; a brother, George Bray of San Antonio, Texas; and six grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Church of Our Saviour, 25 Monmouth St., Brookline, Mass.

RAYMOND H. BIBEAU - Somerset
RAYMOND H. BIBEAU, 73, of Stagecoach Lane, the retired chairman of Lafayette Federal Savings Bank, died unexpectedly Saturday at home.
He was the husband of Susan F. (Whalon) Bibeau. A lifelong Somerset resident, he was a son of the late Victor S. and Marie Louise (Dube) Bibeau.
Mr. Bibeau worked for Lafayette Federal Savings Bank for more than 30 years, retiring as president in 1992 and as chairman earlier this year. He had also worked for the former BMC Durfee Trust Co.
He was the first president of Fall River Carousel Inc. and the first industrial commissioner of Somerset. He was also a member of the Fall River Rotary and the Exchange Club.
A member of the Parish Council of St. Patrick's Church, he was vice president of the parish Men's League. Mr. Bibeau was a member and former treasurer of the Quequechan Club, Fall River, and also a member of its bowling league. He was a member of the New Bedford Country Club.
He received a master's degree from the University of Indiana and had also studied banking and finance at the University of Southern California, Providence College, Brown University and the University of Copenhagen. He was a graduate of the former Thibodeau's Business College in Fall River.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Barry R. Bibeau of Fall River; five brothers, J. Victor Bibeau of Portsmouth, William and Norman T. Bibeau, both of Somerset, Robert Bibeau of LaConner, Wash., and Phillip Bibeau of Winter Park, Fla.; two sisters, Louise Ernst of Milford, Conn., and Irene Gallant of Mattapoisett, Mass.; and three grandchildren. He was the father of the late Jane Ellen Bibeau, brother of the late Jeannette Dombeck Carlson and the half-brother of the late Roland Bibeau and Theresa Adam.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Patrick's Church, South Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

GERALD H. ANDERSON - Smithfield
GERALD H. ANDERSON, 59, of Fourth Street, Esmond, a former warehouseman, died Saturday at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, a son of Eveline J. (Paquette) Anderson of Smithfield and the late Harvey C. Anderson, he lived in Smithfield all his life. Mr. Anderson was a warehouseman for the former Rhode Island school lunch distribution warehouse in Cranston for 15 years until 1991.
A Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, he served two tours of duty with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, and received many medals, including the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Vietnamese Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
He was a member and co-founder of the 3rd Reconnaissance Association and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Paula M. Simone of Chepachet; a niece, Kristina Nadeau of Attleboro; a nephew, John P. Simone of Tewksbury, Mass.; and his maternal grandmother, Laura Paquette of Pascoag.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from Elliott M. Robbins Chapel, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

WILLIAM W. LLOYD JR. - Rehoboth
WILLIAM W. LLOYD JR., 80, of Danforth Street, a retired machine tool rebuilder, died Saturday at home.
He was the husband of Nancy E. (Chafee) Lloyd. Born in Cranston, a son of the late William W. Lloyd Sr. and the late Ellen (Wilson) Lloyd, he had lived in Rehoboth most of his life before moving to Mapleville in 1978 and returned to Rehoboth a month ago.
Mr. Lloyd was a machine tool rebuilder for Horfacker Corp., Cranston, for 20 years until he retired.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Ruth-Ellen King of Huntsville, Ala.; two sons, Earl Lloyd of Franklin, Mass., and William W. Lloyd III, with whom he lived; a sister, Lois Estrella of Seekonk; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Lester "Bob" Lloyd.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland, with a committal service to be held at noon in Rehoboth Village Cemetery.

GERTRUDE SHECHTMAN - Providence
GERTRUDE SHECHTMAN, 82, of North Main Street, died Friday at Miriam Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Louis Shechtman. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Abraham and Sadie (Schwartz) Cohen, she lived in Providence since 1937.
Mrs. Shechtman was a member of the Cranston Senior Guild and the Charlesgate North Residence Association.
She leaves a sister, Sylvia Simpson of Providence. She was the sister of the late Paul Cohen.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick.

JANE ELIZABETH HACKETT - Portsmouth
JANE ELIZABETH HACKETT, 83, of Westfield, N.J., formerly of Portsmouth, died Thursday at Sunrise Assisted Living Center, Westfield.
She was the wife of the late James E. Hackett Jr. Born in Norfolk, Va., she was a daughter of the late Roy L. and Nellie (Foiles) Burton.
Mrs. Hackett had been a member of the Newport Hospital Auxiliary and had also been a hospital volunteer.
She leaves two sons, William F. Hackett of Belle Mead, N.J., and James E. Hackett III of Evanston, Ill.; three daughters, Anne Hackett of Athens, Ala., Katherine Hackett of Warwick and Jane Egan of Westfield; a brother, Roy L. Burton Jr., and a sister, Frances Gammon, both of Norfolk; and 18 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broaway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Joseph Church, Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.

AUGUSTINE T. DAMORE JR. - Pawtucket
AUGUSTINE T. DAMORE JR., 87, of Newport Avenue, a retired mechanical engineer, died Saturday at Beechwood.
He was the husband of the late Berniece G. (Gill) Damore. Born in Providence, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Augustine Damore Sr., he lived in Pawtucket most of his life.
Mr. Damore was a master mechanical engineer for the Town of Smithfield for many years, retiring two years ago. He was also a licensed master plumber.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a graduate of the former Technical High School, Providence.
He leaves a caretaker, M. Muriel Galeshaw of Pawtucket; a sister, Josephine Lapiere of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Teresa Church, Newport Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

ANNIE TIERNEY - Pawtucket
ANNIE TIERNEY, 87, of Manchester Street, formerly of Cedar Street, a former laundry attendant, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Tierney. Born in England, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary A. (Mitchell) Harris, she had lived in Central Falls before moving to Pawtucket.
Mrs. Tierney had been an attendant at Economy Laundromat, Lincoln, for several years.
She leaves three daughters, Eileen Duffy, with whom she lived, Marilyn Almond of Lincoln and Ethel Taylor of Lake Wales, Fla.; a sister, Mary Jensen of Racine, Wis.; and 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late Edith Lander, and Ernest and John Harris.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Keefe Funeral Home, 1035 Lonsdale Ave., Central Falls. Burial will be in Seekonk Cemetery.
