JOHN STUCKEY
JOHN STUCKEY, age 84, passed away August 26, 2001 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. Stuckey was born on April 23, 1917 in Plymouth, England. Dear husband of the late Winifred (nee: Aldridge) and the late Joanne (nee:
Billings-Waggoner) loving father of Edward (Elizabeth) Stuckey, and Lorraine (Michael) Buck. Dear grandfather of Kimberly, Melissa, and Kelly. Dear great grandfather of Alex, Megan, Jack, and Matthew. Mr. Stuckey was predeceased by 10 siblings. A memorial service will be held September 8, 2001 at the William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 705 W. 11 Mile Royal Oak, MI 48067. Memorials are suggested to the Arbor Hospice and the Salvation Army. Louis Williams,
U.S. Army veteran
Louis Williams, 84, of Camellia Street, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Mount Canaan Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Williams was a native of Edgefield County. He was a member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church, Dickerson Masonic Lodge, No. 134, American Legion Post No. 212, the NAACP, the Retired Gents of Aiken County and the Silhouettes of Aiken. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Harrison Williams of Aiken; two daughters, Carolyn W. Chapman and Barbara D. Williams, both of Rockville, Md.; and a sister, Rosetta Mason of Trenton.
The family will receive friends at the residence or at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Aiken.

Robert "Robby" Nicosia
Robert "Robby" Nicosia, 12, ofAiken, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by George Funeral Home, downtown.
Survivors include his parents, Dale and Susan Carter Nicosia of Aiken.

Braddie Barton

Braddie Barton, 85, of Ligon Street, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Eddie Harrison will officiate. Final rites are to be completed on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001.
Mr. Barton was a native of Aiken and a former resident of Roslyn, N.Y., where he worked as an auto mechanic. He was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church in New Ellenton. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

MRS. ELISE GREEN KEY
Funeral services for MRS. ELISE GREEN KEY will be held today at 2 pm at Green Pond Baptist Church, Jackson, SC, with Reverend Roy L. Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Key will be placed in the church at 1 pm today. Friends may call at the residence of Charles and Minnie Goodman, 437 Talatha Church Rd., Aiken, SC. Mrs. Key, 82, of New Ellenton, SC, widow of Mr. Lanzier Key, died Wednesday evening, January 30, 2002 at her residence. Daughters, Minnie Goodman, New Ellenton, SC, and Elouise "Ellie" K. Cheek, Aiken, SC; sons, Wesley Key and Harold Key, both of New Ellenton, SC; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, survive Mrs. Key. MRS. MAE TURNER STEWART
MRS. MAE TURNER STEWART, 92, of Aiken, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 2, 2002 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, with Dr. Rev. Jim Rivers and Rev. Fred Mann officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor, SC. Pallbearers will be Jim Crow, Ron Moseley, Bill Allen Sr., Bill Allen Jr., Will Stewart, Frank Sparks, Jerry Hill and Donnie Ferguson. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband Frank William Stewart Sr., USAF, who was killed in action in 1946. Survivors include one son, Frank "Bill" W. Stewart, Augusta, GA; daughter, Mary Helen Hill, Aiken, SC; sister, Inez Youngblood, Windsor, SC; three grandchildren, Ron Moseley, Aiken, SC, Leah Moseley, Charlotte, NC, and Will Stewart, Augusta, GA; and one great grandson. Mrs. Stewart had lived in this area all of her life and was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken. She had been active with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Aiken Chapter #43. Arthur J. McDaniel Jr., Army Veteran
GRANITEVILLE - Arthur J. (A.J.) McDaniel, Jr., 71, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Revs. Bert Walker and Albert Atkinson will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
A native of Edgefield County, Mr. McDaniel was a son of the late Arthur J. McDaniel Sr. and Maggie Quarles McDaniel. He was retired from the Graniteville Co.
Mr. McDaniel was a past member of the Army National Guard Reserve in Edgefield.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Everlee Wilson McDaniel; one son, Arthur Lynn McDaniel, Graniteville; one daughter, Sherri McDaniel Jenik, Aiken; one brother,
George L. McDaniel, Columbia; one sister, Carolyn Cato, Aiken; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be past and present deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Vision Fund, 20 Second St., Graniteville, S.C., 29829.

Lowell G. Myers,
Air Force Veteran
NORTH AUGUSTA - Lowell G. Myers died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
Mr. Myers, 68, resided at 1944 Robin Road.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Rowland Funeral Home. The Rev. H.B. Johnston will officiate. Burial will be private.
A native of Orangeburg County, Mr. Myers was a retired instrument instructor for Du Pont at the Savannah River Site.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Myers was a member of Bowman Southern Methodist Church. He was a 44-year resident of North Augusta.
Surviving are his widow, Joyce M. Myers; two sons, Lowell William Myers and Walter Bryan Myers, both of North Augusta; one brother, Malvin L. Myers, Hampstead, N.C.; one sister, Inez Myers Lehman, West Columbia; and one grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 115 Greenville St. SW, Aiken, S.C., 29801.

Ella Mae Sackel Salley
PERRY - Ella Mae Sackel Salley died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000.
Mrs. Salley, 51, resided at 477 Honeysuckle Trail.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Dorcas Baptist Church. The Rev. Henry Murdaugh will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of North, Mrs. Salley was a daughter of Nathaniel Sackel Sr. and Anna Mae Lewis Sackel. She was an employee of Swansea Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of St. Dorcas Baptist Church.
Surviving, along with her parents, are a special friend, John D. McMichael, North; two sons, Carl M. Sackel, Wagener, and Norman L. Sackel, Batesburg; five daughters, Lakishia L. Peeples, Wagener, Marilyn Salley, Geneva Salley, Barbara A. Salley and Mary A. Salley, all of the home; four step-children, all of Aiken; three brothers, Nathaniel Sackel Jr. and Alfred Sackel, both of North, and Jacob Sackel, Columbia; two sisters, Ruth Sackel and Thea Jackson, both of North; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her brothers, cousins and friends.

Helen Smalls
WILLISTON - Funeral services for Helen Smalls will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Great Cypress Church, Barnwell.
The Rev. Sydney Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smalls, 76, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Charleston.

Barbara J. Williams
WARD - Funeral arrangements for Barbara J. Williams will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, Ridge Spring.
Ms. Williams, 50, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at her residence.

Shelvie Gene Bryant
NORTH AUGUSTA - Shelvie Gene Bryant died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001.
Mr. Bryant, 64, resided at 827 Old Edgefield Road.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, W.Va. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
A native of Shady Spring, W.Va., Mr. Bryant was retired from retail sales.
Surviving are a son, Michael L. Bryant, North Augusta; two brothers, Thomas E. Bryant, Daniels, W.Va., and James Richard Bryant, Shady Spring; a sister, Wilda Ratcliffe, North Augusta; and one grandchild.

Otis Hankerson
WILLISTON - Otis Hankerson, 80, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Silver Springs Nursing Home.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Green's Funeral Home of Blackville.

Ann Cleckley Newsome
BELVEDERE - Martha Ann Cleckley Newsome died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Doctors Hospital.
Mrs. Newsome, 68, resided at 609 Audubon Circle.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley. The Rev. Lloyd Prince will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Newsome was a daughter of the late Walter and Ruby Eubanks Cleckley. She was a homemaker.
She was the widow of William Isaac Newsome.
Surviving are a son, Larry Newsome, Midway, Ga.; three daughters, Teresa Ann Williams, Augusta, and Shelli Martin and Kristie Newsome, both of Edgefield; three brothers, James Cleckley, Aiken, Sonny Cleckley, Dallas, Texas, and Tommy Cleckley, Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Betty Hatcher and Jackie Durden, both of Warrenville; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Donny Girndt, Mike Martin, Darrell Byrd, Greg Ross, Lee Hightower and Lonnie Craig.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
