Myrtie Boynton Johnson
BARNWELL - Funeral arrangements for Myrtie "Tee" Boynton Johnson will be announced by Cave Funeral Service, Allendale.
Mrs. Johnson, 97, of 1425 Sycamore Road, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Allendale County Hospital, Fairfax.
Stella Delaney Pence
BELVEDERE - Stella Delaney Pence died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at University Hospital, Augusta.
Mrs. Pence, 92, resided at 302 Palmetto Ave.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, North Augusta. The Rev. Jerry T. Matthews will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Pence was a native of Lexington, Ky.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta.
She was the widow of Edwin Earl Pence.
Surviving are a sister, Grace L. Delaney, Belvedere; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home, North Augusta.
Annie L. Sanders
Annie L. Sanders died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Sanders, 52, resided at 1423 Thrope Lane, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Don W. Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Aiken Memorial Park.
A native of Aiken, Mrs. Sanders was a daughter of Louise Permenter Baxley.
She received her early education in the public schools of Aiken County and was a 1967 graduate of Schofield High School.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving along with her mother are a son, Antonio Marquez Roberson, Aiken; a daughter, Regina Louise Sanders, Aiken; four brothers, Nathaniel Roberson, Greenville, and Gerald Roberson, Terry Baxley and Perry Baxley, all of Aiken; two sisters, Iris L. Johnson, Aiken, and Lora Lee Roberson, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of her mother, 168 Pipeline Road, Aiken, or beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.
Ruby Garnto Boyd
Ruby Garnto Boyd died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Pepper Hill Nursing Center.
Mrs. Boyd, 78, resided at 3525 Augustus Road.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Chime Bell Baptist Church. The Rev. Brancie Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Mantross, Ga., Mrs. Boyd was a daughter of the late John and Fronnie Mae Wright Garnto. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Otto Boyd.
Surviving are four sons, Freddie Boyd, Atlanta, Wallace Boyd and Wyman Boyd, both of Aiken, and Mark Boyd, Martinez, Ga.; a daughter, Millie Lawhead, Aiken; two step-sons, Hubert Boyd, Warrenville, and Perry Boyd, Aiken; a step-daughter, Thelma Huff, Warrenville; a brother, Robert Garnto, Aiken; a sister, Dolly Yaun, Graniteville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hibbitts, Steve Hibbitts, Robbie Boyd, Jamey Boyd, Mark White and Eddie Gantt.
Friends may call at the residence of her son, Wyman Boyd, 1533 Gray Mare Hollow Road, Aiken, or from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Esther Chavous Jr.
BARNWELL - Graveside services for Esther Chavous Jr. will be held at 1 p.m. today at Guinyard & Sons Funeral Home, Barnwell.
The Rev. C. W. Phinizy will officiate. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Chavous, 68, of 13 Red Oak Road, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Barnwell County Hospital.

J. W. Cooper

Mr. Eggenberger, 67, of 1014 Williams Drive, Aiken, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center.

Antoinette J. Griffin, 54, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at her residence, 1032 Old Jordan Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Randall Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. Wesley Guyton will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Aiken County, Mrs. Griffin was a daughter of Inez M. Jackson. She was retired from Avondale Mills.
She was a graduate of Ridge Hill High School.
She was a member of Randall Branch Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the deaconess board, usher board, secretary of the church, women's auxiliary board and the adult choir.
Surviving along with her mother are her widower, John Henry Griffin; two sons, John A. Griffin, Aiken, and Demond J. Griffin, Trenton; two daughters, Vickie M. Thompson, Augusta, and Sharon L. Watson, Aiken; five sisters, Shirley A. Jackson, Willie Mae Alexander and Mia F. Jackson, all of Aiken, Linda G. Roper, Garner, N.C., and Rosa Johnson, Ridge Spring; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence, beginning at 3 p.m. and from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home or from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.
Mitchell Koonce
KINSTON, N.C. - Funeral services for Mitchell Koonce will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern, N.C.
The Revs. Tim Odom and Elbert Barrow will officiate. Burial will be in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Koonce, 90, of 2579 Brookwood Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Alma Lewis Long, Graniteville Co. retiree
GRANITEVILLE - Alma Lewis Long died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Long, 91, resided at 425 Ergle St.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley. The Rev. Barry Antley will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.
A native of Graniteville, Mrs. Long was a daughter of the late Paul Silas and Carrie Ella Shealy Lewis. She was retired from the Graniteville Co.
Mrs. Long was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, where she was also a member of the Leslie Sunday school class and the Ladies W.E.L.C.A. She was also a member of Senior Citizens Leisure Years Club.
She was the widow of Harold "Slim" Long.
Surviving are five nephews, Boyd Adams and Kenneth Price, both of Leesville, Hanes Price, Gilbert, Lamar Keisler, Aiken, and Carl Edward Keisler, Springdale; and four nieces, Reba Rediker, Gailsberg, Mich., Roberta Howell, Augusta, Joyce Taylor, Gilbert, and Patricia Ann Chavis, Lexington.
Pallbearers will be Edward Johnson, Hiram Redd, L. L. Willis, Marshall Fulmer and Louis Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Leslie Sunday school class.
