Willie "Jack" Bibbs Jr., truck driver
BELVEDERE - Willie "Jack" Bibbs Jr., 52, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at his residence, 508 Samuels St.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shaw's Creek Baptist Church, Trenton. The Rev. R. C. Holloway will officiate. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
A native of Edgefield County, Mr. Bibbs was a son of Willie and Carrie Bibbs. He was a truck driver.
He was a member of Shaw's Creek Baptist Church, Trenton. He was also a member of Simmon Lodge 3A, Rockhill Burial Society and the NAACP.
Surviving along with his parents are a son, Fredrick Bibbs, Moncks Corner; two daughters, Deadra Griffin, North Augusta, and Cynthia Bibbs, Moncks Corner; five brothers, Willie Mealing and Hayward Bibbs, both of Trenton, Stewart Bibbs, Johnston, Curtis Bibbs, Edgefield, and Leroy Bibbs, Saluda; four sisters, Dorothy Bibbs and Gloria Ligons, both of Johnston, Shirley Moor, Edgefield, and Annie Pixley, Aiken; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of his parents, 129 Egghouse Road, Johnston, at the residence of his daughter, Deadra Griffin, 419 Bradleyville Road, Apt. G-468, North Augusta or at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary.

Thomas A. Brennan
Funeral services for Thomas A. Brennan will be private.
Mr. Brennan, 80, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Eden Gardens.
George Funeral Homes, Downtown, is in charge of arrangements.

Susan Louise Hand Morris
WINDSOR - Funeral services for Susan Louise Hand Morris will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shellhouse Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Morris Cemetery, Johnston.
Mrs. Morris, 45, of 734 Windsor Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Pallbearers will be Sampie Noakes, James Noakes, Christopher Harding, Joshua Campbell, Charles Moxley Jr. and Paul McClure. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Morris and John Cambrone.
Memorials may be made to the Carolina Cancer Center, P.O. Box 869, Aiken, S.C. 29802.
Friends may call at the funeral home.

Willie James "Jabo" Smith
RIDGE SPRING - Funeral services for Willie James "Jabo" Smith will be held at 3 p.m. today at Young Second Baptist Church, Ridge Spring.
The Rev. Reginald Byrden will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 62, of 119 Williams St., died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at his residence.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. today at the funeral home or from 2-3 p.m. today at the church.

Samuel Simmons
WILLISTON - Funeral services for Samuel Simmons will be held at 2 p.m. today at Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church, White Pond Community.
The Revs. Wilbur J. Simmons, Barney Glover and Gary Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Simmons Family Plot, Windsor community.
Mr. Simmons, 87, of 361 Pearl Lane, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Pallbearers will be Steve Holloway, Eric Cobb, Charlie "C.W." Simmons, Knoward Simmons, Kenneth Simmons, Randy Simmons, Louis Holston Jr. and Rueben Lewis.
Friends may call at the residence, at Simmons Funeral Home, Williston, or one hour prior to the service today at the church.

Charles Czagas, Raybestos Manhattan retiree
Charles Czagas died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Czagas, 87, resided in Aiken.
Funeral services will be held in New Jersey. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery, Lodi, N.J.
A native of Bethlehem, Pa., Mr. Czagas was a son of the late Stephen and Katherine Cere Czagas. He was retired from the Raybestos-Manhattan Co., N.J. He
was also owner of the Cedar Handyman, a business in Garfield, N.J.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Garfield and also of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aiken. He was involved with the Meals on Wheels program, and he taught ceramic classes.
He was the widower of Elizabeth Ehasz Czagas.
Surviving are two sons, Charles S. Czagas, Matthews, N.C., and Allen J. Czagas, Aiken; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
George Funeral Homes, Downtown, is in charge of local arrangements.

Cecil "Slim" Davis, SCDOT retiree
GRANITEVILLE - Cecil "Slim" Davis, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Napier Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Thurmond will officiate. Burial will be private.
A native of Ridge Spring, Mr. Davis was a son of the late John W. and Carrie Preston Davis. He was a retired mechanic with the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.
Surviving are his widow, Edith Rains Davis; two sons, Buddy Davis, Graniteville, and J. D. Davis, Warrenville; three daughters, Joyce Chandler, Aiken, and Dovie D. Yonn and Susan Greene, both of Graniteville; a sister, Alma Craig, Aiken; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service to day at the funeral home.

Fannie J. Gallman
Fannie J. Gallman died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Gallman, 85, resided at 207 Sumter St., Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church. The Rev. Alf Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.
Mrs. Gallman was a native of Trenton. She was a domestic worker and homemaker.
She was educated in the Edgefield County school system and attended Bettis Academy.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Precious Jewels.
She was the widow of Wallace Gallman.
Surviving are two sons, Wallace Gallman Jr. and James Gallman, both of Aiken; three daughters, Alice W. Smith and Georgia M. Johnson, both of Aiken, and Elizabeth Williams, Jamaica, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the Ambassadors Club. Honorary pallbearers will be Friendship Baptist Church deacons and trustees.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Alice W. Smith, 509 Polo Drive, Aiken, beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home or from 2 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church.

Luther Lefon Herring, Du Pont Co. retiree
Luther Lefon Herring, 74, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his residence, 1521 Pine Log Road, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Shellhouse Funeral Home. The Revs. William Griffith and Terry Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
A native of Dillon, Mr. Herring was a son of the late Edmond and Nora Mooney Herring. He was a retired foreman with the Du Pont Co.
He was a member of New Covenant Praise Church.
Surviving are his widow, Ellen Arnette Herring; two sons, Lee Herring, Philadelphia, Pa., and Keith Herring, Aiken; a daughter, Wren Herring, Sausalito, Calif.; a sister, Sarah Lee, Dillon; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Huntington Disease Foundation, 158 West 29th St., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001-5300, or to Hitchcock Hospice, 690 Medical Park Drive, Aiken, S.C. 29801.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rosa Lee Davis Skipper, Salvation Army retiree
Rosa Lee Davis Skipper died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Skipper, 80, resided in Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Ridge Spring. Maj. Jerry Lyle, Capt. Timothy P. Carter and the Rev. Charles Yoho will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Aiken County, Mrs. Skipper was a daughter of the late John T. and Carrie Preston Davis. She was retired from the Salvation Army.
She was a member of the Salvation Army Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Ridge Spring. She was also secretary of the Ladies Home League of the Salvation Army and was president of the Westside Mothers Club.
She was the widow of Samuel Curtis Skipper.
Surviving are a son, Johnny E. Skipper, Aiken; two daughters, Louise Funderburk, Aiken, and Sybil Carlisle, New Ellenton; two step-sons, Curtis Skipper and Benny Skipper, both of Swansea; a step-daughter, Beatrice Eisele, Swansea; a sister, Alma Craig, Aiken; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 322 Gayle Ave., NW., Aiken, S.C. 29801.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, David Lee Skipper, John Skipper, Joe Funderburk, Jerry Carlisle, Darryl Whitman, Johnny Skipper Jr. and David Lee Funderburk. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Aiken Nursing Home.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at George Funeral Homes, Downtown.
