Mary Ann Marriner Lind, retired bookkeeper
NORTH AUGUSTA - Mary Ann Marriner Lind, 71, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Carriage Hills Plantation, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Napier Funeral Home chapel, Graniteville. The Rev. Gene Wilson will officiate and burial will be private.
Ms. Lind was a native of Flushing, N.Y. She was a retired self-employed bookkeeper. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include four sons, J. Brad Lind of Augusta, Ted E. Lind of North Augusta, Chris B. Lind of Graniteville and Jeff G. Lind of Augusta; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. on Saturday until the hour of service.
Bruce Pollock Sr.
Bruce Pollock Sr., of Mossy Tree Lane, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at India Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Anthony Wilson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Pollock was a native of Barnwell County. He was a member of India Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Garrett Pollock; two sons, Bruce Pollock Jr., and Gregory Pollock; two sisters, Nola Scott and Emma Surbham; a brother, Willie Pollock; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence, or after 1 p.m. today at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta.
LT. COL. WILLIAM TIMOTHY COFFEY
MR. COFFEY - LT. COL. WILLIAM TIMOTHY COFFEY, US Army Corp of Engineers, Retired. Beloved husband of Jennifer A. Coffey, passed away suddenly on Sat., Sept. 1st, 2001 at his home in Alexandria, Virginia. He was 54 years old. Tim is survived by 5 brothers. Fr. John Pat and Tom Coffey of Rock Hill, SC., Jerry Coffey and Mathew Coffey of Newberry, SC., and Martin Coffey of Aiken, SC. Survived by 4 sisters, Mary Michael Wooten of Columbia, SC, Christine Angelos, Patricia Williams and Bridget Miller of Aiken, SC. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and an extended family of cousins from Ohio and West Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria on Saturday at 10am, Fr. Stefan Starzynski will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8pm. MRS. EUBANKS - Funeral services for MRS. EPSIE KITCHENS EUBANKS will be held Sat. morning at 11am at Darien Baptist Church, 1362 Hatchaway Bridge Rd., Aiken. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Key, Randy Widener, Danny Jenkins and Rhett Widener. Memorial donations should be directed to the Widener family. Visitation will be this evening, from 6-8pm at George Funeral Homes Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken. Mrs. Eubanks, 86, of New Ellenton, died Wednesday at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, Aiken. The daughter of the late Dock and Bertha (Redd) Kitchens, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. A homemaker, she was a active member of Darien Baptist Church where her late husband, Rev. Jessie Eubanks was pastor during the 1950's. She is also pre-deceased by a grandson, Richard Lee Widener who died in 1995. Mrs. Eubanks is survived by a daughter; Mrs. Jessie Widener, New Ellenton, a brother; Albert Kitchens, Montmorenci, a sister; Margaret Ataway, Warrenville, three grandchildren, Randy Widener, Pam Jenkins and Rhett Widener and four great grandchildren, Dana Widener, Brooke Gunter, Whitney Jenkins and Dailyn Widener. He is survived by two sisters, Lilly Boyd, Springfield, SC and Katherine Whittle, Windsor, SC and five nieces and nephews, Judy Whittle, Ryan Gunter, Robert Williamson, Jimmy Williamson and Susan Williamson. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a son, James Isaiah Hendrix and her husband Isaiah Hendrix, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jan Larsen, Aiken; two grandchildren, Allen Isaiah Larsen and his wife, Kimberly Marie (Napier) Larsen and Teresa Irene Laster; two great-grandchildren, Valerie Marie Larsen and Cara Dawn Larsen. Mr. Carr, 46, resided at 598 Cherokee Drive.

A native of Aiken, Mr. Carr was a technical manager for the Sitel Corp. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Newman Carr; and two sisters, Karen Carr, North Augusta, and Lora Day, Aiken.

NORTH AUGUSTA - Ruth Rose Nation Gillispie died Friday, June 15, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley. The Rev. Perry Shelfer will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
A native of Alvia, Iowa, Mrs. Gillispie was a homemaker. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
She was the wife of the late Hubert F. Gillispie Sr.
Survivors include a son, Hubert F. Gillispie Jr., Edgefield; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dale Steelman, David Steelman, Mike Clement, Richard Swearingen, George Bryant and Bob Dosier.

Edward Michael Zier Jr., Retired engineer
NORTH AUGUSTA - Edward Michael Zier Jr. died Friday, June 15, 2001, at University Hospital.
Mr. Zier, 83, resided at 556 Old Walnut Branch.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Dr. Gary C. Redding will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta.
A native of New Albany, Ind., Mr. Zier was a retired mechanical/Environmental engineer with Greenwood Mills.
He was a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge and North Augusta Country Club and a previous member of the Lions Club of New Albany and North Augusta and of the Optimist Club.
Mr. Zier was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille M. Zier; two sons, Edward Michael Zier, III, Marietta, Ga. and Kelly F. Zier, North Augusta; and five grandchildren.

Bill Adair, DuPont retiree
TRENTON - William Milan Adair of 34 Hummingbird Lane died Wednesday, June 13, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Gloverville First Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
A native of Greenwood, Mr. Adair was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Milan Adair. He was retired from the Du Pont Co. at the Savannah River Site with 33 years of service.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Adair was a member of the Gloverville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, James W. Adair, Columbia, Donald P. Adair, Opelika, Ala., Kenneth M. Adair, Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Thomas A. Adair, Trenton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Joe Brown, Doug Johnson, Mike Koon, L.M. Fletcher, Roger Stephens, Billy Kyzer and James Brightharp.

Mrs. Jackson was a retired textile employee with Carolina Chenille, Saluda.
She was a member of Chapel Praise Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Jackson and Marvin Jackson, both of Aiken; four daughters, Edith Hall, Greenwood, Eva Loretha Duford, Edgefield, and Patricia Busbee and Glenda Hart, both of Trenton;
two sisters, Mary McNally and Earline Bledsoe, both of Johnston; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
