Imagean Lawson Snipes
Imagean Lawson Snipes died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Snipes, 77, resided at 592 Beaver Dam Road, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church. The Rev. William E. Swink will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Batesburg, Mrs. Snipes was a daughter of the late James Lawson and Alma Smith Lawson Hall.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Herman "Jake" Snipes.
Surviving are a son, Avery Snipes, Charleston; two daughters, Vera Snipes and Lola Williams, both of Aiken; two sisters, Girlie Mae Lawson, Swansea, and Bernice Horner, Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Snipes, Avery Snipes Jr., Richard Lawson, Mackey Snipes, Davis Snipes and Edward Snipes. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Snipes, David Williams, William Steedley, Vence Hicks, Donnie Gregg and Drew Slayton.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 205, Columbia, S.C. 29204.

Pauline Wyckoff Pycraft
Funeral services for Pauline Wyckoff Pycraft will be held at 3 p.m. today at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church.
The Rev. Leon Mozeliak will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
Mrs. Pycraft, 90, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Trinity Lutheran Home, 213 Laurens St., Aiken.

Mr. Hankerson, 80, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Silver Springs Nursing Home.

Levorn Taylor
Funeral services for Levorn Taylor will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter Baptist Church, Elko.
The Rev. Alvin Settles will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Taylor, 51, of 372 Shiloh Heights Road, Aiken, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Pallbearers will be Willie James Thomas, Don Thomas, Timothy Thomas, Lorenzo Burno, Kenny Richardson, Ricky Counts, Herbert Wise and McDonald Priester.
Friends may call at the residence or the residence of his aunt, Geneva Williams, 761 Abbeville Ave., Aiken, beginning at 3 p.m. today at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home or one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Leroy Walker
WILLISTON - Funeral arrangements for Leroy Walker will be announced by Simmons Funeral Home, Williston.
Mr. Walker, 82, of 11 Roy St., died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Barnwell County Hospital.
Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Josephine Brown, 11 Roy St., or at the funeral home.
Charles Czagas, Raybestos Manhattan retiree
Charles Czagas died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Czagas, 87, resided in Aiken.
Funeral services were held in New Jersey with burial in Lodi Cemetery, Lodi, N.J.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aiken.
The Rev. Calvin Vick will officiate.
A native of Bethlehem, Pa., Mr. Czagas was a son of the late Stephen and Katherine Cere Czagas.
He was retired from the Raybestos-Manhattan Co., N.J. He was also owner of the Cedar Handyman, a business in Garfield, N.J.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Garfield and also of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aiken.
He was involved with the Meals on Wheels program, and he taught ceramic classes.
He was the widower of Elizabeth Ehasz Czagas.
Surviving are two sons, Charles S. Czagas, Matthews, N.C., and Allen J. Czagas, Aiken; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
George Funeral Homes, Downtown, is in charge of local arrangements.
Helen Timmerman Baker
Helen Timmerman Baker died Tuesday, April 3, 2001.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
She was the widow of B. W. Baker.
Surviving is a son, Wade Baker.

CMDR USN Ret. Richard George Gleeson died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Gleeson, 86, resided in Aiken.

Raymond R. "Andy" Guest Jr., banker & farmer
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Raymond R. "Andy" Guest Jr., 61, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at his residence, 428 Rock Hill Farm. He was the husband of Mary Scott Derrick Guest, a native of Johnston.
Funeral services were to be held at 11 a.m. today at the Cunningham Chapel, Millwood, Va.
A native of Shenandoah Valley, Mr. Guest was a son of the late Ambassador Raymond R. Guest and Elizabeth "Lily" Polk Guest. He was a banker and spent his adult life farming at Rock Hill Farm.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He attended Blue Ridge Country Day School, Millwood; the Pomfret School, Connecticut, and was a 1964 graduate of Yale University.
Mr. Guest was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1971-1999, having served on the committees on Conservation and Natural Resources; Agriculture; Roads and Internal Navigation; Appropriations; and Rules, and he served as a Minority Leader from 1986-1992. He was also a member of the Virginia State Crime Commission and the Virginia Industrial Development Authority.
He also served on the Board of Directors of Bessemer Trust Companies and Bessemer Securities Corporation. He also helped to establish the Rockland Agricultural District to preserve farming and open space lands for generations to come.
Mr. Guest was honored by his fellow members of the General Assembly in 1995 with the naming of the new state park in southern Warren County as the Raymond R. "Andy" Guest Shenandoah River State Park.
He was a member of the Front Royal-Warren County community. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Cedarville Ruritan Club, Izaak Walton League and the Elks. He served on the board of directors of Warren Memorial Hospital, having served as chairman. He also served on the Virginia Health Care Board, and he was instrumental in the establishment and funding of St. Luke's Community Clinic.
Mr. Guest took a leading role in the establishment of thoroughbred horse racing in Virginia, and he was recognized for his efforts by the naming of the paddock at Colonial Downs Race Track and with the placement of a bronze statue in his likeness.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Raymond R. Guest III, Bradenton, Fla., and William G. Yarborough III, Asheville, N.C.; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Looney, Middleburg, Va.; a brother, Achille Murat Guest, Fredericksburg, Va.; three sisters, Elizabeth Guest Stevens, Washington, D.C., Virginia Guest Valentine, Richmond, Va., and Laetitia Guest Oppenheim, Paris, France; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the St. Luke's Community Clinic, 842 N. Shenandoah Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630, or to Cunningham Chapel, Millwood, VA 22646.
Georgia M. Bodie Horne,
Wagener Manufacturing retiree
WAGENER - Georgia Maroney "Mack" Bodie Horne, 89, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Wagener. The Revs. Jack Atkinson and Dave Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Wagener Cemetery.
A native of Aiken County, Mrs. Horne was a daughter of the late George Asbil and Kattie Shealey Maroney Bodie. She was retired from Wagener Manufacturing Co.
She was the widow of Kenrick Eugene "Keggy" Horne.
Surviving are a daughter, Normagene Bodie Beier, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

Frederick Norman Howell, retired transit worker
Frederick Norman Howell, 77, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at his residence, 947 Old Jordan Road.
Funeral services will be announced by Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.
Mr. Howell was a native of Barbados, West Indies. He was a retired transit worker for New York City.
Surviving are two sons, Frederick Howell Jr., Pennsylvania, and Dane A. Howell, New York; and three grandchildren.

Flora Lee French Jimmerson, store manager
WILLISTON - Flora Lee French Jimmerson, 81, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Silversprings Healthcare Facility, Williston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Burial will be in Williston Cemetery.
A native of Blount County, Alabama, Mrs. Jimmerson was a daughter of the late Street French and Eva Hutson French. She was empoyed by Bud Burma and the Salley Factory Outlet Store as a manager.
She was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert Kyle Jimmerson.
Surviving are four daughters, Carolyn Sharpe and Kathy Abrams, both of Charleston, Sandra Keel and Vickie Williams, both of Williston; two sisters, Inez Wallace, Williston, and Daphene Musick, Alabama; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
