BELVIN J. McINTYRE
Services for Belvin Johnson McIntyre, 59, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Hebron Methodist Church in Chesterfield County with the Rev. Jim Baker officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home.
Mrs. McIntyre died Saturday, Feb. 17. She was born
in Darlington County, a daughter of the late Otis and Ivory Mac Boan Johnson.
Surviving are her husband, Norman McIntyre, Hartsville; two daughters, Beverly Ann McIntyre of Hartsville and Angelina McIntyre of Chesterfield; a sister, Lee Ola Sanders of Hartsville; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, David McIntyre and two brothers, Warren and Lucas Johnson.
"MAC" CAMPBELL
Services for Charlie M. "Mac" Campbell, 74, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Chapel with the Rev. Jim Beck officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Campbell, husband of Louise Tyner Campbell, died Monday, Feb. 19. Born in Chesterfield County, he was a son of the late Lee and Rhoda Corbett Campbell. He was a member of Kelleytown Baptist Church and Col. Kolb Hunting Club.
Surviving are his wife of Hartsville; son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Manda Campbell of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Tonda Kaye and Larry Johnson of Hartsville; sister, Sara White of Camden; grandchildren, Carey Steen, Kim Johnson, Michelle Williams and Phillip Williams; great-grandchildren, Tori Johnson, Kennedy Steen and Landon Steen.

Mrs. Matuse, widow of Willard H. Matuse, died Monday, Feb. 19. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late John and Perlie Lynch Perdue. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine M. and Jessie Haynes of Hartsville; sisters, Mrs. Haskell (Tinsy) Riley and Mrs. Mattie Rolfe, both of Hartsville; grandchildren, Johnny Rogers, Tommy Rogers and Chris Cole; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gainey, husband of Eva Mae Jacobs Gainey, died Monday, Feb. 19. Born in Chesterfield County, he was the son of the late Luther James and Betty Lee Hicks Gainey. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Sonoco Old Timers Club and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Hartsville Masonic Lodge #173, Past Patron Hartsville Chapter #91 O.E.S. and Omar Temple of the Shrine.
Surviving are his wife of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda G. and Frankie Valle of Hartsville; grandsons, Jared James Valle and Luke Patrick Valle, both of Hartsville; and sister, Frances Lee Gainey Howle of Washington, D. C.

Mr. Carter died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001. Born in Darlington County, he was a son of the late Gelzer and Mary Kelley Carter. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company with 50 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Patricia Carter Jr. of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Judi Carter-Coker and William Coker of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; grandchildren, Todd Carter, Eric Carter, Joseph Moses; and great-grandchild Ryan Carter.

Mr. Henderson, widower of Gertrude Sexton Henderson, died Thursday, Feb. 22. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Henry Goody and Carrie Esther Williams Henderson. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Men's Bible Class, XYZ Club and PALS. He was retired from Coker's Department Store and served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II.
Surviving are his brother, Wallace B. Henderson of Boiling Springs, and nieces and nephews.
BERTHA F. DAVIS
DARLINGTON – Services for Bertha Flowers Davis, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Free Will Baptist Bible Church with interment following in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends tonight, Friday, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis died Wednesday, Feb. 21, in a local hospital after an illness. She was born
in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Maggie Suggs Flowers. She was an Avon salesperson and a member of Free Will Baptist Bible Church, where she taught the Sunday School Primary Class for over 33 years.
Surviving are her husband, Emery Davis of the home; a son, Russell (Frankie) Davis of Darlington; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Patricia D.) Hudson of Darlington; four grandchildren, Brandi Bryant, Ashley Jaite, Candace Davis and Brooke Hudson; a great-grandchild, Bryan Jaite; and a sister, Phoebe Howle of Darlington.
MYRTON GAINEY
Services for Myrton Gainey, 72, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Revs. Becky Jones and Margaret Hicks officiated with burial in Gainey Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
Mr. Gainey died Saturday, Feb. 24. Born in Chesterfield County, he was a son of the late Sebe and Roxe Gainey Gainey. He was a member of Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company and was a member of the Old Timers Club.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Mickey Vann, Kathy and Mike Norris, all of Hartsville; brothers, James Gainey and Daythurn Gainey, both of Hartsville, and Ray Gainey of Bishopville; sisters, Mary Yarborough, Mazel Atkinson and Daine McWhorter, all of Hartsville; grandchildren, Mitch Vann, Dennis Smith, Shannon Vann and Sandy Mixon; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Gainey, and a sister, Myrtle Brannon.
NANCY JARVIS
Services for Nancy Jarvis, 58, were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at the Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. Father Karl Roesch officiated. Mrs. Jarvis died Saturday, Feb. 24. Born in San Francisco, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Velma Cail Palmini. She was previously employed with Belk Stores.
Surviving are her husband, John Jarvis of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Schyne Ryburn of Vacaville, Calif., and Christina and Pete Luekin of South Bend, Ind; step-son, David Jarvis of Ft. Myers, Fla.; step-daughter, Sarah Jarvis of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and grandchildren, Cassie Luekin, Danelle Luekin and Jennifer Jarvis.
MINNIE GOODMAN
LAMAR – Services for Mrs. Minnie Goodman were held Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at the Bethany Baptist Church. The Rev. Emmanuel Simon is pastor. Burial was in the Plaza Memorial Gardens directed by Hines Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goodman was born
in Wilson, N.C., a daughter of the late George and Charlotte Dukes Sims. Her biological mother died as she was a small child and she was raised by her loving step-mother, Edith Mae Sims.
Minnie was married
at an early age and was a devoted wife of the late James T. Goodman. This union was blessed with six lovely children, two of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in a Christian home and continued a life of service to her Lord and Savior by living a Christian life. She was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church and its usher board. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Faithful Workers chapter #229 of Lamar and many other activities of her community.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen Jordan and Vivian Goodman, both of Darlington; two sons, Willie Lee Goodman of Lamar and Isaac "Carl" Goodman of Darlington; two sisters, Mary Damon and Olivia Lyde; three brothers, Eddie, Willie and Jimmy Sims; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
