BOBBY JOHNSON
Services for Robert L. (Bobby) Johnson Sr., 61, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Bible Truth Holiness Church of Lydia. The Rev. Hazel Mixon and the Rev. Robert Winburn will officiate with burial in Clyde Church of God Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, Nov. 8. Born in Norfolk, Va., he was a son of the late Liston and Corine Gladys Gainey Johnson. He was a member of Bible Truth Holiness Church, president of the Physically Handicapped Home in Darlington and enjoyed singing at local nursing homes.
Surviving are his wife, Gracie Layton Johnson of Hartsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L (Ruth) Johnson Jr. and Lee (Crystal) Johnson, all of Hartsville; two daughters, Sheila Faye Johnson Sherman of Rochester, Ind., and Renee J. Sheehan of Florida; sister, Deanna Mangan of Florence; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

TONEY DAVIS
Toney Davis, 12, of Hartsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young & Young Funeral Home.

MARION COSTILLO
Marion Costillo, 79, of Hempstead, N.Y. and formerly, of Hartsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, after an illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young & Young Funeral Home.

LEWIS MOORE JR.
Services for Lewis Arthur Moore, Jr., 82, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Fourth Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Hood and the Rev. Robert Rivers officiating. Burial was in Westview Memorial Park Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Fourth Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Moore died Friday, Nov. 10. Born in Darlington County, he was a son of the late Lewis Arthur and Annie McFarland Moore Sr. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church and was previously employed with the Hartsville Print and Dye.
Surviving are his wife, Selma Parnell Moore of Hartsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Frankie and Gwen Moore, Lewis and Angie Moore III, Carl and Rose Moore, all of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-laws, Elaine and Carson Byrd, Annie Laura McKenzie, all of Hartsville, and Wanda and Heyward Blackwell of McBee; sister, Mrs. Thelma Beasley Blackwell of McBee; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, James Moore, John Moore, Curtis Moore and a sister, Mary Marshall.

JAMES A. GALLOWAY
DARLINGTON - Services for James A. "Jimmy" Galloway, 61, were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Mr. Galloway died Thursday, Nov. 9, in a Florence nursing home after an illness. He was born in Darlington County, a son of Eloise Woodham Galloway and the late Willie Clifton "W.C." Galloway. He was a farmer and the co-owner of Milling Warehouse in Darlington and Growers Warehouse in Timmonsville. Mr. Galloway was a member of Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Darlington, are his wife, Faye Huggins Galloway of the home; a son, Ricky Galloway; a daughter, Cindy Galloway both of Darlington; three sisters, Mrs. Ronnie (Mary Lou) Perritt, Judy Galloway and Sandy Galloway, all of Darlington; and one brother, Willie C. (Debbie) Galloway Jr., also of Darlington.

JAMES L. GRIGGS
DARLINGTON - Services for James Louis "Smokey" Griggs, 34, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with interment following in Piney Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartsville. Mr. Griggs died Thursday, Nov. 9, in his Lexington residence after an illness. He was born in Darlington County, the son of Hilda Cross Griggs Davis and the late Dours Griggs.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Columbia are his step-father, Arthur J. Davis of Columbia; two sisters, Penny G. Dority of Timmonsville and Jenny G. Weatherford of Columbia; three brothers, Sammy Dours Griggs and John Wayne Griggs, both of Chesterfield, and Brian B. Griggs of Blythewood; his grandfather, James F. Matthews of Darlington and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Griggs was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emily G. Matthews.

LATOYA D. BRIGGS
Services for Latoya Danyell "Te Te" Briggs will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, in Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Isaac Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Hines Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1691 Winding Ridge Road.
Ms. Briggs died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She was born in Hartsville, a daughter of Janice G. Briggs and Levander Segars. She was educated in Darlington County public schools, graduating from Hartsville High School, class of 1992. She later attended Morris College of Sumter. She was employed with A.O. Smith of McBee for the past six years and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her parents, Janice G. Briggs and Levander "Lee" (Ann) Segars of Hartsville, include a daughter, Brianna W. Briggs of the home; four sisters, Brandy Robinson and Levette Segars of Hartsville; Kyle Briggs of Norfolk, Va., and Mekita Coe of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five brothers, Dereginald Samuel of Charlotte, N.C., Domonique Johnson, Terrence Cabbages-talk, and Antuan Segars of Hartsville, and Levander Segars Jr. of the U.S. Navy; 11 aunts, four uncles, his maternal grandmother, Anna Briggs of Hartsville; and paternal grandmother, Laura M. Segars of Hartsville.

ALMA G. ROGER
LAMAR - Mrs. Alma "Lib" Graham Roger, formerly of Lamar, died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, in a Durham nursing home after an illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hines Funeral Home of Lamar. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Frances Mack of 209 W. Pearl Street.

Angeleen Hammonds, 51, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, in Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center after an illness. Arrangements will be announced by Young & Young Funeral Home.

Memorial service for Angeleen Hammonds, 51, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, in Harold L. & Dorothy J. Young Memorial Chapel. Services entrusted to Young & Young Funeral Home.
Ms. Hammonds died Monday, Nov. 13, in Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was born in Darlington County, a daughter of the late Clarence Navy and Cleola Hammonds. She was a graduate of Butler High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Tiffany A. Hammonds and Tyechia J. Hammonds, both of Hartsville; a son, Demetris G. Hammonds of Hartsville; two sisters, Martha A. Navy of New York City, N.Y., and Eula M. Brunson of Raleigh, N.C.; her grandmother, Kortaza A. Blakeney of Hartsville.

MILDRED BRODERICK
Memorial services for Mildred Sellers Broderick, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at the Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Beck officiating.
Mrs. Broderick, widow of Thomas F. Broderick, died Monday, Nov. 13. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Clyde and Henrietta Harper Sellers.
Surviving are her brother, Charles "Clifford" Sellers of Ruther Glen, Va.
