Funeral services for Thomas Ander Hall, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Clyde Church of God. The Revs. I.J. Strickland and Wallace Strickland will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall, widower of Zoradia Atkinson Hall, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Bailey and Mary Harrell Hall. He was a member of Clyde Church of God and was retired from the Hartsville Cotton Mill.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Gerald and Ann Hall of Hartsville; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda and Brad Kent and Patsy Brown, all of Hartsville; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
ANN KOPS HASKETT
Ann Kops Haskett, 79, widow of Frank Barry Haskett, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was a former resident of Ocean City, N. J. She was a daughter of the late John George and Gonda Vanderhorst Kops. She was an avid bridge player. She loved flowers and animals. Mr. and Mrs. Haskett's closest animal friend was Dusty. His remains along with theirs will be taken to their favorite spot at Sunset Beach for burial.
Surviving are her son, Frank Craig Haskett of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Kyle H. Segars of Hartsville; Karen Ann Haskett of Boston, Mass.; brothers, George Kops of Kingston, Ontario, and John Kops of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

DONALD H. LONG
Services for Donald Howard Long, 44, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at the chapel of Norton Funeral Home with the Rev. Shirley Poole officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening, Friday, from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Long was born
Paducah, Ky., a son of the late Kenneth Howard Long. He was employed with Talley Metals.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene Lovelace Long of Hartsville; a daughter, Stephanie Long of Greenville; a son, Donald Mark Long of Myrtle Beach; step-daughters, Carmen Watkins and Pamela G. Bell of Hartsville; three grandchildren.
TOM WARREN
Services for Tom Warren, 82, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at First Baptist Church of Pine Ridge. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be this evening, Friday, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Warren was born
in Darlington County, a son of the late John Wesley and Della Weatherford Warren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Ridge, retired from Sonoco Products Co. and was a member of the Old Timers Club, DAV and an Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are two daughters, Billie Horton and Debbie Warren of Hartsville; a son, Roger Dale Warren of Hartsville; a brother, Harvey Warren of Columbia; a sister, Zona Shastid of Monroe, La., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
CHARLES SOWELLS
Charles Sowells died Monday, July 16, 2001, after an illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hines Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends at the residence at 317 Marion Avenue.
CHARLES W. SOWELLS
Services for Charles Wesley Sowells will be held at 4 p.m. today, July 20, 2001, at Peace Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Ira Timmons officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with professional services directed by Hines Funeral Home.
Mr. Sowells died Monday, July 16, after an illness. He was born
in Darlington County, a son of the late Johnny and Ernestine Sowells. He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Bernice (Jack) McDaniels of Charleston, Mary (Benny) Murphy, Betty Jean (Willis) Johnson and Shirley (Joe) Lucas, all of Hartsville.
ROSA E. CHISHOLM
Services for Rosa Emma Chisholm, 61, will be held at 6 p.m. today, July 20, 2001, at Brown Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Lewis and the Rev. Homer Hinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the residence at 711 Brown Springs Church Road.
Mrs. Chisholm died Tuesday, July 17. She was born
in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Cord C. and Ruth Shaw Cranford. She was a member of Brown Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Lisa (James) Brigman of Rockingham, N.C., Sheryl (Paul) Speight, Kammie Chisholm of Hartsville, and Nancy (Jay) Chapman of Society Hill; a son, Dean Chisholm of Hartsville; five sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Cypress, Myrtle Jones of Hartsville, Peggy Jean Schaff, Joan Johnson and Lou Eva Teal, all of Patrick; three brothers, Blease Cranford of Bethune, Billy and Sammy Cranford of Hartsville; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Chisholm, and a grandson, Zackary Taylor Speight.

Mrs. Hartley, widow of Phillip W. Hartley, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001. Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late M. Coyt and Bernice Hoffmeyer Summers. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth Gay Blakeney Sunday School class and Circle No. 4. She was also a deacon, elder and facilities supervisor of the church. She delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly. For many years she was a house parent at Thornwell Home and School for Children in Clinton.
Surviving are her son, Eric Hartley of Columbia; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bobby Cousins of Columbia, Allison and Newman Eddins of Hartsville, Kim and Mark Taylor of Hartsville; sister, Helen Summers of Cayce; grandchildren, Amy Shuler, Brent Shoemake, Erin Gainey, Phillip Hartley, Fran Taylor, Lindsey Eddins, Jennifer Taylor, Wayne Cousins; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Alma Lunez T. Mixon, 75, were held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2001, at the Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. John Hamilton and Charles McLendon officiated with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Mixon died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. Born in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Doyle and Alma Davis Thornley. She was a former employee of Hartsville Blouse Manufactur- ing and Hanes Hosiery.
Surviving are her husband, John Mixon of Hartsville; son and daughter-in-law, Donald M. and Kay Rowe of Hartsville; step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Andy and Pat Mixon and Mike Mixon, all of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jean R. and Jerry Winburn of Hartsville, Lynn R. and Nelson Hearl of Conway, and Sherry R. and Fred Selby of Hartsville; brothers, D. A. Thornley, Bennett Thornley, Joe Thornley and Roger Thornley, all of Charleston; sisters, Bonnie Buskirk of Charleston and Jackie Shola of Slidell, La; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McKenzie, wife of Vance McKenzie, died Monday, July 30, 2001. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of Lucille Register Reynolds and the late Fred Reynolds. Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 1940 Bethune Rd., Bethune, S.C. 29009. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, was full of life, and a very giving person.
Surviving are her husband of McBee; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery V. and Robin McKenzie of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Lori Ann and Kenneth Tiller of McBee; mother, of Hartsville; brothers, S. A. Reynolds of Lamar, and Coyt Reynolds of Hartsville; sister, Gail Beasley of Hartsville; and grandchildren, Jordan Tiller and Jamie Cason McKenzie.
