CHERAW – Services for Lenora Holliman Quick, 70, will be held at 4 p.m. today, Oct. 26, 2001, at Cheraw Family Worship Center, Cheraw. Interment will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens directed by Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Holy Inheritance Worship Center, 54 Cherokee Ave., Cheraw, S.C. 29520.
Mrs. Quick died Tuesday, Oct. 23. She was born
in Marshall, Ark., a daughter of the late William Daniel and Ressie Arzella McClung Holliman. She was a retired child care provider and a member of Holy Inheritance Worship Center. Mrs. Quick was preceded in death by four brothers, W.D., Ralph, Obey and Doyle Holliman.
Survivors are her former husband, Bobby Ray Quick of Sumter; three daughters, Tammy Carter and Amanda Quick of Cheraw and Debbie Morris of McBee; two brothers, Coy Holliman and Buster Holliman of Harriet, Ark., six grandchildren, Misty, Brook, Andrew, Brandon, Amber and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Jeffrey.

PALMER EDISON HAM
Mr. Ham died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001. Born in Florence County, he was the son of the late Fred Vinson and Julia Anderson Ham. He was a member of Mt. Elon Baptist Church, retired from McLean Trucking and was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie Howell Ham of Oates; son, Tommy Ham of Oates; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald Moody and Janie Ham of Florence, David Legrand and Janie Ham of Timmonsville, Fred V. and Bonita Ham of Timmonsville; two grandchildren and spouses, Penny (Jeff) McDaniel, Tonya (Ben) Etheridge.
Pallbearers are Willie James Howell, Mickey Grady, Gerald Watford, Steve Ham, Wayne Howell, Robert James, Benny Andrews, Gary Howell, Billy Jordan, Edwin Stokes, Leon Howell and Billy Tedder.
FRED CABBAGESTALK
Graveside services for Fred Cabbagestalk were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at the Greenlawn Cemetery with professional services directed by Hines Funeral Home.
Mr. Cabbagestalk died Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Faith Healthcare Center of Florence after an extended illness.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph, Leroy and Eddie Cabbagestalk, all of Hartsville, and 20 grandchildren.
ROSIE WARR
Services for Rosie Kissiah Warr, 93, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Prospect United Methodist Church. The Revs. Bud Boatwright and Jim Hardee officiated with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Warr, widow of Lonnie Lee Warr, died Sunday, Oct. 28. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Nannie Kennington Kissiah. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and the WMU.
Surviving are her sons, James Warr of Hartsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ophelia Atkinson and Hazel and Herbert Atkinson, all of Hartsville, Ruby and Richard Byrd of Summerton, S.C.; grandchildren, Patsy Atkinson Griggs, Clifton Atkinson, Melissa Byrd Levell, Thomas Atkinson, Michelle Byrd Leviner, Ricky Byrd, Laura Ann Atkinson, 15 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
MARY L. TURNER
LAMAR – Services for Mary Elizabeth Locklair Turner, 82, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, in the Lamar Chapel of Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Lamar Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner died Saturday, Oct. 27, at her residence after an illness. She was born
in Sumter County on Oct. 26, 1919, a daughter of the late Lorie and Marie Randolph Locklair. She was married
for over 50 years to the late Hubert Turner. Mrs. Turner had been a resident of Sumter for many years before moving to Lamar in 1998. She was a member of the Lamar First Baptist Church and the Moonbeam T.E.L. Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons, Girard (Jeanette) Turner of Lamar and Russell (Diane) Turner of Summerville; one brother, Carroll (Fleetwood) Locklair of Lamar; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

EDITH M. GRANT
CHERAW – A memorial service for Edith M. Grant, 79, of Pensacola, Fla., will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw.
Mrs. Grant died Friday, Oct. 19, after a short bout with cancer. She was a resident of Cheraw for 40 years before moving to Florida three years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church during those years in Cheraw.
Mrs. Grant is survived by her three children, Gary W. White Jr. of Hartsville, David White of Columbia and Venecia Grant of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles McKenzie of Charlotte, N.C., and Gary McKenzie of Lumberton, N.C.; and three sisters, Mabel Freeman of Lumberton, N.C., Janice Williams of Fairmont, N.C., and Nancy McKenzie of Destin Fla. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary Wilson White and Douglas Grant, and by two brothers.

CASSATT, S.C. – Services for Bishop Henry Miller Sr., 77, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Believer's Temple Holiness Church in Cassatt. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, directed by Haile's Funeral Home of Camden.
Bishop Miller died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Providence Hospital after an illness. He was a native of Boykin, S.C. and was pastor and founder of Church of God Beyond Man's Knowledge House of Prayer for all People.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Frankie Tyson, 68, formerly of Jefferson, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in a Washington, D.C. hospital after an illness. Arrangements will be announced by Young & Young Funeral Home.

JEFFERSON – Services for Frankie Lockhart Tyson, 53, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Hopewell United Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery directed by Young & Young Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyson died Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Medstar Georgetown Hospital after an illness. She was born
in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Emsley and Willie Joe Thompson Lockhart Sr. She was a member of the Greater Rhema Word Ministries of GPC.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd Tyson of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Gary Lockhart and Floyd Damon Tyson, both of Washington, D.C.; one step-daughter, Lisa Blakney of Mt. Croghan; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Emsley Lockhart of Jefferson and Richard Lockhart of Pageland; two sisters, Shirley Chambers and Cynthia Blackwell, both of Jefferson; a mother-in-law, Alice Tyson; father-in-law, Floyd Tyson Sr.; three aunts; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives.

Burial will take place in the church Cemetery, professional services directed by Hines Funeral Home. Mr. Atkinson died Friday, Oct. 26, at his home after an illness.
Survivors include his loving wife, Annie Atkinson of the home; two sons, Tommy Atkinson and Mannon Atkinson Jr., both of Bishopville; two brothers, Jessie Lee Atkinson of Englewood, N.J. and Tom Atkinson of Hackensack, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Susan Weatherford Nesbitt, 35, were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at North Hartsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Nesbitt died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001. Born in Warner Robbins, Ga., she was a daughter of Barbara Harrell Weatherford and the late Charles Preston Weatherford. She was a graduate of Coker College and was employed with Honda of S.C.
Surviving are her mother of Hartsville; daughter, Ashleigh Nesbitt of Hartsville; brothers, Mark Weatherford and Stephen Weatherford, both of Florence, Scot Weatherford of Hartsville; and sister, Cindy McAlhany of Beaufort.
