George J. Bouchea Sr.
George Joseph Bouchea, 72, died Jan. 10 at home. He was born in Savannah and was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the carrier Midway. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. He was employed by the Chatham County Police Department and retired after 32 years of service with the rank of major. He was a member of Police Officers Association of Georgia; 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus Council No. 631; Clyo Hunting Club, and American Legion Post No. 184.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Virginia Mitchell Bouchea of Savannah; three sons, John Patrick Bouchea of Joliet, Ill., M. Lawrence Bouchea of Jackson, Miss., and George J. Bouchea Jr. of Savannah; a stepson, Mark A. O'Brien of Savannah; a stepdaughter, Angela L. Mary Jane H. Clary
Mrs. Mary Jane Hinely Clary, 75, died Jan. 10 at home. She was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a 1942 graduate of Savannah High School. She graduate from the Women's College of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a music major in 1946. She served as pianist and organist for various churches in Savannah. She was a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, an associated member of Highlands United Methodist Church in Highlands, N.C., and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
SURVIVORS: her husband, James Candler Clary of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Constance Marie Clary Sims and Dr. James T. Sims of Newark, Del.; a son and two daughters-in-law, James Candler Clary Jr. and Debbie R. Zenobia D. Davis
MOUNT VERNON -- Mrs. Zenobia Dixon Davis, 85, died Jan. 9 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and the widow of William Marvin Davis. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Uvalda Church of God in Uvalda and a former Sunday school teacher. She had also taught Sunday school at Alston United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Loretta West of Alston; two sons, Leon W. Davis and J. Hiriam Davis, both of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Lillie Mae Moseley and Muriel Davis, both of Uvalda, and Eloise Carter of Warner Robins; a brother, Jack Dixon of Uvalda; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Leah Anderson Gerrald, 86, died Jan. 10 at Tara at Thunderbolt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Nevils and lived in Savannah for 58 years. She was a member of Coastal Cathedral Church of God and a homemaker. She was the widow of Hoye E. Gerrald.

Harriett D. Graham
Mrs. Harriett Dent Graham, 63, died Jan. 8 at the residence of her son in Orlando, Fla. She was born in Douglas and was a 1954 graduate of Douglas High School and a 1956 graduate of South Georgia College. She moved to Savannah in 1960 and was the widow of Everett Graham. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Douglas and attended First Baptist Church in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
SURVIVORS: four sons, Gordon Graham of Orlando, Scott Graham and Kevin Graham, both of Ocala, Fla., and Keith Graham of Seattle; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay G. and Hal Anderson of Savannah; two brothers, Dr. Joel Dent of Dublin and the Rev. Ira Dent of Odum; three sisters, Wylene Parker of Moultrie, Robbie Sue Schneider of Huntsville, Ala., and Annelle McDuffie of Savannah; four grandchildren, 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

SOPERTON -- Herman L. Henry, 73, died Jan. 9 at Emanuel County Medical Center. He was born in Treutlen County and was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Thigpen Chapel Church in Norristown and served in the Army.
SURVIVORS: three sons, Ben M. Henry and Lane Henry, both of Soperton, and Danny Henry of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Mark Henry Jr., Marie Ruffin, Terry Henry, Jennifer Henry, Robin Henry, Kimberly Henry and Chuck Henry; and two great-grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: five sons and three daughters-in-law, Marion James, John James Sr. and Margaret James, Robert James Sr. and Florence James, Chirstopher James, Linward James Sr. and Adell James; a daughter and son-in-law, Ida Henderson and Chilon Henderson; and a stepdaughter, Marle Banks.

Claretha P. Lewis
Claretha P. Price Lewis, 49, died Jan. 5 at home. She was born in Beaufort and was a 1968 graduate of St. Helena High School. She moved to New York, where she worked for Walt Whitman Museum. She also lived and worked in Atlanta and Brunswick. She was employed by the Department of Family and Children Services in Savannah.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Kimberly Akiysha Lewis of Savannah; a sister, Sharon V. Price of New York City; two brothers, Robert Jeral Price of Beaufort and Alfonso Price of New York City; an uncle, Mannie Laurie of Beaufort; and four aunts, Edith Frazier, Francina Govan and Ida Cuthbert, all of Beaufort, and Sarah Mack of New York City.

Louise M. O'Quinn
ALMA -- Louise McDonald O'Quinn, 67, died Jan. 9 at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick. She was born in Bacon County and retired as manager of Bacon Apparel. She had owned Seamstress Manufacturing in Alma. She was married to the late Leroy McDonald.
SURVIVORS: her husband, B.J. O'Quinn of Waycross; a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin McDonald and Phyllis McDonald of Alma; a brother, Lawrence Strickland of Alma; three sisters, Edna Worles of Baxley, Frankie Sweat of Augusta and Frances Cliett of Nicholls; and a granddaughter, Angela McDonald of Alma.

She lived in Glynn County the past 21 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Cassina Garden Club and a charter member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Frank Charles Sidella of St. Simons Island; a daughter, Pamela M. Sidella of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a brother, Edward Royal Zumpf of Washington.

Nettie E. Lanier
GUYTON -- Nettie Lee Eason Lanier, 85, died Jan. 7 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Effingham County and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, the senior choir, served on the missionary board and the kitchen committee. She was also a member of Guyton Chapter No. 292, Order of the Eastern Star for 34 years and was employed by Guyton Post Office before retiring. She also worked as a certified presser at Connely's Dry Cleaners in Guyton.
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Ernestine Collins, Alveta Young and Alzader Lanier, all of Guyton, and Juanita Howard of Savannah; three sons, Jesse Simmons Jr. of Portal, Willie Muhammad of Bridgeport, Conn., and James Heidt of Savannah; 37 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ruby M. Battle
BROXTON -- Ruby M. Battle, 64, died Jan. 9. She was born and educated in McRae. She was a homemaker.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Betty Butler of Savannah; five sisters, Willie Mae Buchannan of Broxton, Essie Martin and Albertha Holmes, both of Savannah, Willie B. Johnson of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Pauline Limon of McRae; a brother, Ernest Paul of Broxton; and three grandchildren.

Mary S. Brownlee
HARDEEVILLE -- Mrs. Mary Scott "Mamie" Brownlee died Jan. 10 at Low Country General Hospital. She was born in Hardeeville (Bellinger Hill community) and attended Jasper County public schools. She lived in Pontiac, Mich., for several years and was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Juanita Williams Lewis and Matilda Ann Jefferson, both of Pontiac, Albertha Scott and Joyce Bryant, both of Hardeeville; a son, Kelvin Brownlee of Hardeeville; two sisters, Hattie Scott Dinkins of Pontiac and Miriah Scott Harris of New York City; two brothers, Johnny Scott Sr. of Hardeeville and Henry Scott of Savannah; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Ellie Cooper
Ellie "Bill" Cooper, 86, died Jan. 6 at Candler Hospital. He was born in Bulloch County and lived in Savannah most of his life. He worked for Central of Georgia Railroad for many years and retired from Georgia Ports Authority after 30 years of service.
SURVIVORS: a sister, Daisy Roberts of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a number of nieces, including Daisy Wesley of Savannah; nephews, cousins and other relatives. Sidney A. Jones Funeral Home.

Bobby J. Creasy
JESUP -- Bobby Joe Creasy, 65, died Jan. 9 at Sunbridge Care Center. He was born in Scotts Hill, Tenn., and was a former resident of Nashville, Tenn., and Gaston, S.C., and lived in Wayne County the past three years. He was a campaign manager for Gov. Richard Fulton of Nashville when he was running for Congress in 1970. He was a paramedic with the Armed Forces in Germany and retired from the city of Nashville in January 1979 after 15 years of service.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Shirley Ann Mitchell Creasy of Nashville; a daughter, Elaina Shipes of Gaston; a stepdaughter, Mary Louise Smith of Lavern, Tenn.; two stepsons, Freddy Smith and Kenny Smith, both of Nashville; two brothers, Billy Creasy and Dwight Creasy, both of Nashville; four grandchildren, Karen Shipes, Austin Shipes, Jamie Binkley and Jackie Riendeau; two stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

STATESBORO -- Mrs. Clara Belle Parker Parrish, 92, died Jan. 8 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital. She was born in Candler County and lived in Bulloch County most of her life. She was a member of Rehovia Baptist Church, was church secretary for 35 years and was a member of Rain or Shine Club.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Geraldyne and Daniel Lee of Statesboro; a sister, Almedia Milledge of Savannah; three sisters-in-law, Leona Parrish and Debbie Davis, both of Cincinnati, and Mary Parrish of Statesboro; four grandchildren, Phyllis Miller of Bowie, Md., Gigi Miller and Jantz Miller, both of Atlanta, and James Miller of Charleston; three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

WAYCROSS -- Lillie Mae Roberson, 79, died Jan. 6 at Satilla Regional Medical Center. She was born in Coffee County and lived in Waycross for many years. She served as church mother at Wings of Deliverance Faith Temple.
SURVIVORS: three sons, Eugene Roberson and Jack Roberson, both of Los Angeles, and Steve Roberson of Waycross; two daughters, Lillian Scott of Los Angeles and Mattie Stevenson of Waycross; a sister, Ola Rucker of Blackshear; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a number of cousins and other relatives.

BRUNSWICK -- Charlie W. Shedd, 75, died Jan. 7 at Sunbridge Health and Rehabilitation of the Golden Isles. He was born and educated in Terrell County. He retired as a landscaper with Sea Island Co. and was a member of Greater Hall Temple Church of God in Christ in Brunswick.
