Surviving are three sons, Buddy Atkinson, Jr. of Society Hill, Raymond Atkinson of the Dovesville community, and Leon Atkinson of Lydia, SC; one daughter, Penny Atkinson, of Society Hill; and one brother, David Atkinson of Society Hill.

Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude Sugrue. She was the widow of Stephen Monahan and also predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Lesieur. Surviving are one daughter, Karen Glanville of Hartsville; one brother, Thomas Shugrue (spelled as in the paper) of West Springfield, MA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of both Thomas Victor Holcombe and Francis Alexander Osterman. She was also predceased by a brother, Booker Thomas Lockett. Surviving are four daughters, E. Jean Holcombe of Atlanta, GA, Eurydice V. Osterman of Huntsville, AL, Charlotte M. Osterman of Columbus, OH, and Alexine C. Smith of Indianapolis, IN; and one granddaughter.
