"Bob" Biggerstaff Sr., 63, of 1713 Highway 28 North, husband of Helen Hancock Biggerstaff, died March 1, 2000, at Anderson Area Medical Center. born in McDowell County, N.C., he was a son of the late John M. and Helen Welborn Dex. He graduated from Presbyterian College, Clinton, and served in the Army. He had a career in the textile industry, working for Milliken, Texfi and others, before opening Carolina Dye Works in Ware Shoals in 1992. He was awarded at Top Job Creator Award by Gov. Carroll Campbell. He retired as company president in January 1999. He was a member of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the Men s Sunday School Class, the Long Cainites and past president of the Men of the Church Group. He was also a member of the Southern Square Dance Group. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Robert R. Biggerstaff Jr. of Charleston and John A. Biggerstaff of Abbeville; a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Cindy) Stichnoth of Greenville; and two sisters, Joan Zebell of Easley and Jane Magee of Norfolk, Va. He was self-employed, an Army World War II veteran and a member of the VFW. He was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church and the Senior Couples Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jesse C. (Joan) Herin of Greenwood and Mrs. William J. He graduated from Greenwood High School and Nashville Auto-Diesel College, Nashville, Tenn. He was assistant manager of Food Lion Bypass 72 Store in Greenwood. He was a member of United Solid Rock Baptist Church in Springfield, N.Y. and a former member of Second Damascus Baptist Church in Greenwood. Survivors include his mother of Promised Land, S.C.; his wife of Jamaica, N.Y.; two daughters, LaShown Baylor of Columbia, S.C. and Taneisha Barber of Alabama; two sisters, Janie Bell Mosley of Promised Land and Emma McClinton of Due West, S.C.; four brothers, Wilson Henderson, Joe D. Henderson and Marvin Henderson, all of Greenwood, and John Wesley Henderson of Kingstree, S.C.; and a grandchild. The family is at the home of a sister, Janie Bell Mosley, 306 Dixie Ave., Promised Land. Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home, Greenwood, which is in charge.

DONALDS - Samuel "Sam" Wilbur McClain Jr., 37, of 6316 Highway 184 East, died April 17, 2000, at his home. born in Anderson County, he was a son of S. Wilbur McClain Sr. and Mildred S. McClain. He was a member of Due West Baptist Church and was a computer programmer with Frigidaire. Survivors include his parents of Donalds; a brother, Rick McClain of Greenwood; and a sister, Vicky L. McClain of Iva. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Due West Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Carroll Andrews and the Rev. J.R. Alewine. The body will be placed in the church at 10. Private burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood. Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The family is at the home. Randolph S. Saxon
GREENVILLE - Randolph Suel "Doc" Saxon, 84, of 215 Blacks Road, husband of Ida Wells Saxon, died April 16, 2000, at National Health Care. A native of Georgia, he was a son of the late Ed and Etrulia Crow Saxon. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Calvin Saxon of Greenville and Charles W. Saxon of Oconee; a daughter, Donna Lee Austin of Alabama; a brother, Jewel Saxon of Greenwood; a sister, Neil O Kelley of Greenville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at noon Wednesday in Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 10-11:30 Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at 217 Blacks Road, Greenville. ABBEVILLE - Rosa Lee Rouse Williams, 47, of 104 Gip Edwards Road, died April 17, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital. born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Annie Mae Johnson Rouse. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Rouse Tinch of Abbeville; two brothers, Luther Rouse of Greenwood and Robert Rouse of Columbia; a sister, France Rouse Adams of Greenwood; and three grandchildren.
