Isaiah Davis, Sr.
Isaiah Davis, Sr., 64, of 218 Parker Drive died June 10, 2000, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
A native of Union County, he was the son of the late Abel Davis and Corrine Davis Mitchell. He served in the Navy and was a retired truck driver, and a member of Sigsbee Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Gearline Gatewood Davis; three daughters, Karen Robinson, Jackie Wiggins and Freida T. Black, all of Spartanburg; one son, Isaiah Davis, Jr. of Spartanburg; one sister, Violet Sanders of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jeffery Henry, Sr., 36, of 130 Condren Ave. died June 10, 2000, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Queens, New York, he was a son of John Richard Henry, Sr. of Greenville, and the late Johnnie Mae Davis Henry. He was employed with Senior Boiler Tube and attended Long Branch Baptist Church of Greenville. He was an Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his father is his wife, Brenda Dawkins; one son, Jeffery Henry, Jr. of Greenville; two brothers, John Richard Henry, Jr. and Franklin Henry, both of Greenville; five sisters, Gloria Henry of Spartanburg, Kim Henry and Niesha Smith, both of Greenville, Sherry Franklin of Simpsonville, and Lynn Mitchell of Richmond, Va.; and paternal grandmother, Lola Bell Henry of Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the J.W. Woodward Memorial Chapel of Spartanburg and Mr. Henry will lie in state there from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Long Branch Baptist Church of Greenville.

A native of Union, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Sam and Isadora Sims Hunter. She was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving is one sister, Rosa Lee H. Smith of Greer.

WOODRUFF - Linda Lancaster Eubanks "Betty" Jones, 72, of 208 Maple St. died June 11, 2000, at her home.
A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of Grace Mae Nabors Lancaster of Woodruff, and the late William Charles Lancaster. She was first married to the late Eurell Eubanks, Jr., and later married the late Nick Jones. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, and was retired after 40 years service as a nurse with Workman Clinic, now James-Willmot Clinic.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are one daughter, Nancy Joyce Jones Rhodes of Inman; one brother, John Harold "Bo" Lancaster of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Louise Erickson of Pineville, N.C., Tabitha Putnam of Cornelius, N.C., and Ruth "Tootie" Roberts of Deer Park, Texas; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the Lanford Funeral Home in Woodruff.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodruff Memorial Gardens.

Maude A. Loftis
GAFFNEY - Maude A. Garner Loftis, 95, formerly of Maude Road, died June 10, 2000, in Brookview Healthcare Center in Gaffney.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Ida Howell Arrowood. She was first married to the late Fred Malcom Garner, and later married the late Earl Loftis. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She was predeceased by two sons, Frederick and Francis.
Surviving are one sister, Vera Lawson of Union; one brother, Robert Arrowood of Union; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Gaffney.
Services will follow at the church at 3 p.m., conducted by Revs. Randy Phillips, Jack Bratton, and Clay Earle. Burial will be in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

UNION - Boyce Scott, 80, of 316 Railroad St. died June 11, 2000, in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, after an extended illness.
A native of Jonesville, he was a son of the late Arthur Boyd and Katie Foster Scott. He attended Mon-Aetna Baptist Church and was a member of the Cecil O'Dell Sunday School Class. He was retired from Milliken Company, Monarch Plant.
Surviving are a twin sister, Lois S. Cooper of New Ellenton; three nieces and a nephew, reared in the home, Cynthia S. Horne and Betty S. Horne, both of Union, Harriett S. Smith of Buffalo, and Kenny Scott of Union; and two other nieces and nephews of New Ellenton.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Wofford and Pauline Hines Miller. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Whitney Yarn Mill.
Surviving are her husband, Bill Dillard; two sons, Charles E. Dillard of Boiling Springs and Harry Ray Miller of Chesnee; one daughter, Edie Dillard Poteat of Boiling Springs; six brothers, Rocky Miller of Spartanburg, Lawrence Miller of Glendale, Ray Miller of Boiling Springs, Buck and Hugh Miller, both of Fingerville, and Red Hines of Fingerville; three sisters, Polly Humphries of Spartanburg, Dot Dillard of Boiling Springs; and Emily Williams of Campobello; and six grandchildren.

A native of Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Tillman and Lillie Mae Hicks Fleming, and the widow of Grady Fleming. She was retired from Arkwright Mills after 25 years of service.
Surviving are seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Rutherford County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Fay and Maggie Haynes Robbins, and the widow of Frank Warlick. She was a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church of Forest City, and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Dennis Warlick of Forest City; and one brother, Glenn Robbins, also of Forest City.

BOILING SPRINGS - Jack Hamilton Alexander, 68, of 149 Coldstream Drive died June 10, 2000, at his home.
A native of Sylva, N.C., he was the son of Lois Henry Alexander of Sylva and the late Leon Jack Alexander. He was a graduate of Western Carolina University and was employed with Barclay's American for more than 30 years before his retirement, and was also associated with Gilbert Auto Sales. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, and had served in the Army. He was first married to the late Nancy Burgess Alexander.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Joye Edwards Gilbert Alexander; one son, Gregory W. Alexander of Hendersonville, N.C.; two daughters, Rhonda A. Perry of Spartanburg and Karen A. Crosby of Inman; one step-daughter, Laura G. Fowler of Inman; three step-sons, William D. Gilbert of Inman, Dale M. Gilbert of Spartanburg, and Jonathan E. Ballard of the home; one sister, Doris A. Hoyle of Lilburn, Ga.; one brother, Doyle Alexander of Sylva, N.C.; and 10 grandchildren.

A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Ede and Junie Blanton McCraw, and the widow of Jonah Jenkins. She was a member of Shondoah Baptist Church of Orlando, Fla., and was a homemaker.
Surviving are three brothers, Manuel E. McCraw and Winford McCraw, both of Gaffney, and Jack McCraw of Spartanburg; and one sister, Frances Brown of Blacksburg.

She was retired from Beaumont Mills after 55 years of service. She was a member of the Mayo First Baptist Church, and was active in the Charlotte Ledford Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald D. Gurley and Michael G. "Worm" Gurley, both of Mayo; three brothers, Albert D. Turner of Spartanburg, James R. Turner and John D. Turner, both of Mayo; four sisters, Catherine Mitchell and Peggy Jolley, both of Mayo, Coleen Allison of Pacolet, and Sylvia Splawn of Liberty; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Thompson, and Denise Rowe Fowler, both of Chesnee; a brother, Carl Harris of Spartanburg; a sister, Norma Hyatt of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shiloh Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel Hill Cemetery in Latta.

Rebecca B. Horne
Rebecca Brannon Horn, 58, of 180 Knighton Road, died Oct. 7, 2000, at her home.
A native of Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Annie Pearl Tinker Brannon of the home and the late Elmer M. Brannon. She was a 1959 graduate of Spartanburg High School and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother, is a brother, Gerald M. Brannon of Cowpens; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 11 to 11:45 a.m., at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Terry Clark.
The family will be at the home.

ENOREE -- Charles "Bully" Simmons, 72, of 5 Perry St., died Oct. 8, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
