Addie Elizabeth Fisher, 92, widow of Walter Thomas Fisher, died Wednesday, January 16, 2002, at a local hospital. Born February 25, 1909, in East Saint Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of William Issac Poston and Stella A. Poston (nee Summers.) She attended schools of E. St. Louis and was retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was predeceased by her sister Willnora Scheepmaker and is survived by her daughter Fredella (Fritz) Milne of Ladson; one grandson Walter Thomas Milne, granddaughter-in-law, Thelma Elizabeth Milne of Goose Creek; two great-granddaughters, Christina M. Warren, Cathleen M. Milne, two great-grandsons, Phillip Thomas Warren and Alex Xavier Warren, all of Goose Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2002. Entombment will be in Whispering Pines cemetery, Moncks Corner, S.C. Chief Master Sergeant Arthur James Dodgins, USAF Ret., 75, died Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at a local hospital. Born January 22, 1927 in Pheobus, Virginia he was the son of William Leo and Corinne Dodgins (nee Powell). He served in the US Navy and US Air Force Reserve and retired as a loadmaster with civil service. He was a Baptist. Mr. Dodgins was an avid fan of the Stingrays Hockey team. He is survived by his wife Nancy P. Dodgins, Goose Creek; son, Dennis Dale Dodgins, Summerville; three daughters: Donna Noles and Michelle Wilson, both of Summerville and Sharon Hill, Ridgeland; brother, Jack Powell, Richmond, Va.; sister, Billie Mason, Newport News, Va.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Lynwood "Bud" Locke, Jr. husband of Jane B. Locke, of Mt. Pleasant died Friday, January 18th at a local hospital. Born in Clearwater, Fla. to Mamie Hogan Locke and the late Lynwood D. Locke, Sr. Mr. Locke was retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served 20 years and had a tour in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Chicora High School and earned his associate degree from Trident Technical College. Mr. Locke was a former employee with the Medical University of South Carolina in the Anatomy Department. After working in the Anatomy Department at MUSC Bud then worked for McAlister-Smith Funeral Homes and Carolina Funeral Services. He was a member of the Preservation Society of Charleston, Carolina Children's Charity and the Girl Scouts of the USA. He is survived by his mother, Mamie H. Locke of Charleston, his wife, Jane Bledsoe Locke of Mt. Pleasant, a son, Lynwood D. Locke III and wife, Rhonda of Charleston, a daughter, Theresa Locke Watts and husband Joseph of Columbia, two stepdaughters, Tonya B. Bernard and husband Sean of Mt. Pleasant, Tasha K. Belcher of Colorado, three sisters, Norma L. Dukes of Bamberg, Sharon L. Sneed of Charlotte, N.C., Jean L. Phillips of Summerville, two grandchildren, Lynwood D. MYRTLE BEACH - April Storm Buffkin Gray, age 54, of 47th Ave. North, died Thursday, January 17, 2002, at a Myrtle Beach hospital.Born April 11, 1947, in Tabor City, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Jamison and Lucille Strickland Buffkin. She graduated from Tabor City High School in 1965 and attended Southeastern Community College. She was a graduate of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce "Leadership Grand Strand" program. Mrs. Gray gave to her community through the many volunteer events in which she participated. For the Chamber of Commerce she was the "Executive Membership Council" sales leader in 1991 and worked on the many chamber committees. She enjoyed organizing the hospitality at the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony of the City of Myrtle Beach for many years in which her husband plays the role of Santa Claus. She was the "Sun-News Volunteer of the Year 1997," nominated by the American Cancer Society. She was the Chairperson of the American Cancer Society, Myrtle Beach Area, "Relay for Life," 1998. She was a "Kentucky Colonel of the Commonwealth-of-Kentucky." She was president of the Myrtle Beach Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary in 1994. She was a member of the Omar Shrine Chiefs Unit Ladies Auxiliary, and the Waccamaw Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary. She was a key staff person on the many South Atlantic Shrine Conventions held in Myrtle Beach. She was a princess of the "Daughters of the Nile," Milcah #77, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Mrs. Gray was a member of the Shriners "One-Hundred Million Club." She was the current First Lady of Omar Shrine Center as the wife of it Potentate, (President). She worked tirelessly for "The Shriners Hospitals For Children." Mrs. Gray was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach. She worked where she was needed whether as a leader or servant. She served for many years as the Director of the Nursery Department. April loved to feed other, she worked in the church kitchen as part of the special hostess committee and specialized with very little resources in feeding the multitude. She organized the food mission of the "Grand Strand Passion Play," and provided food for the choir. She served as a member on many varied church committees, and loved working with the youth. Mrs. Gray moved to Myrtle Beach in 1965. In the 1970's she worked for the Genco Janitorial Supply. She was office manager for 16 years with Hazel Hatchell State Farm Insurance Agency until Hazel's retirement, and then worked with Wade Davis State Farm Insurance Agency until her illness in December 2001. She served many years as secretary of the Grand Strand Area Life Underwriters Assoc. She and her husband, Bob own Sunco Pool Co.Surviving are her husband, Bob Gray; son, Philip Gray of Conway; daughters, Charlene Hewitt of Danville, Va., Abigail Buffkin Brown and Rachel Gray, both of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Brittany, Erica, Chelsea, Tonya, Jasmine, Stephen and Tabitha; brothers, Terry Buffkin of Mt. KINGSTREE - Howard Milton McClam, Sr., 73, died Monday in Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning. Mr. McClam was born in Kingstree, a son of the late Solomon Fant McClam and Ada Floyd McClam. He was a graduate of Hebron High School and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended First Baptist Church in Manning and was a retired insurance agent. Mr. McClam was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy Barrineau McClam, a brother, Louie McClam and a sister, Nell McKenzie.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katherine Hicklin Jackson McClam of Manning and Kingstree, 4 sons: Milton McClam, Gary McClam, Warren McClam and Walter McClam all of Kingstree, 1 step-daughter: Katherine C. Jackson of Manning, 2 step-sons: Ransome A. Coleman of Spartanburg and Charles L. Dennie was born on December 10, 1951, in Summerville, S.C., a daughter of the late James H. Harmon and Luvinia Burbage Harmon. She was a graduate of Berkeley High School and Pearl River Junior College, Pearl River, Miss. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse II for Charleston County Detention Center. She was a member of Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Joan Duke Hay Murden, 68, of 501 Shaw Drive, died Sunday evening at the residence of her daughter in Atlanta, Ga., after an extended illness.
Born September 26, 1933, in Mocksville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Carroll Gordon Hay and Dorothy Ann Adams Hay. Mrs. Murden was a member of the Clan Hay Society, was a homemaker and was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Crocketville.
She is survived by one son, Michael R. Murden of Dahlonega, Ga.; one daughter, Jean M. McNeill of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Jimmy Hay of Ellabell, Ga.; seven sisters, Dorothy Miley of Charleston, Judy Williams of Brunson, Martha Brewster of Varnville, Clara Williams of Brunson, Gayle Lairsey of Hampton, Patricia Woody of Powell, Tenn., and Helen Hay of Hampton. There are three grandchildren, Keith A. Murden, Matthew McNeill and Marie A. McNeill.

Woodrow Wilson Blume, 81, of N. Charleston, died Sunday, January 20, 2002, in a local hospital.

Born in Bamberg, he was a son of the late John G. and Gertrude Wilson Blume. Mr. Blume was owner and manager of Dukes Shell Station for over 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II. Mr. Blume was a member of Springtown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleise S. Blume.
He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn B. Hunt of N. Charleston, Linda B. Beckman of Irmo, and Jeanette B. Karnahan of Goose Creek; sons, John Blume of Goose Creek, Woody Blume of St. Stephen, and Doyle L. Sams of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; sisters, Johnny B. Dehay of Bamberg, Eloise B. Dled of Olar, Daisy B. Davis and Irene B. Sanders, both of Bamberg; a brother, Ernest L. Blume of Norwood, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bonnette was born in the Trinity Community of Orangeburg County a son of the late Paul Orie Bonnette and Salley Rowe Hayden Bonnette. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Bonnette attended Clemson University. He was a member of the Lion's Club of Pine Hill, member of the Woodmen of the World, member of the North Masonic Lodge #119. Mr. Bonnette was a member of Pine Hill United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Edna Lloyd Ott Bonnette.

Mrs. Allinger was born May 13, 1899 in Pendleton, Indiana a daughter of the late Neal I. and Laura Rebecca Brown Hardy. She received her early education in Pendleton, Ind. and attended Parker High School in Dayton, Ohio and received her high school diploma from Steele High School in June 1917. A lover of education, Mrs. Allinger attended Miami University from 1917-1919 majoring in home economics and minoring in Latin. In 1920 she began teaching economics, Latin and English at Banquo High School and later in that same year taught the same subjects at Markleville, Ind.
On September 30, 1922, she was wedded to Chauncey M. Allinger, a marriage that lasted for 56 years. During her many years of service in education and serving as secretary at the George R. Fishburne Elementary School in Hanahan, S.C., serving under principals, Mr. Marlette, Ruggles and Mr. Wallace, Mrs. Allinger also served as secretary at Hanahan High School retiring in 1965 and had served under principals Mr. Bratton, Mr. Wallace and Mr. Martin.
Mrs. Allinger served as past president of the P.T.A. of the Pendleton Elementary School in Pendleton, Ind. 1930-1932. Her church activities are many having served as superintendent of the Church School of the Pendleton Methodist Church in the early 1930's, Secretary of the United Methodist Women of Midland Park United Methodist Church and also as treasurer and leader of the Circle of United Methodist Church Women. Also as chairman of the Work Area in Education of Midland Park Church and as an ex-officio member of the Council on ministry.
Surviving are her son, William N. Allinger of Hanahan, S.C., her daughter, Joann Allinger Onspaugh of Virginia Beach, Va., and preceded in death by a daughter B. Elaine Allinger Marable. Eight grandchildren: Brian Allinger of Hanahan, S.C., Shelli Allinger Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga., Pamela McDaniel of Galveston, Tex., Terry Onspaugh of Hanahan, S.C., Charles Onspaugh, Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn., Jenny Marable Worrell of North Charleston, S.C., James Marable of Summerville, S.C., Rebecca Marable of Gainesville, Fla., and ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Coffey is survived by two sons, James P. Coffey of Pageland, S.C. and John M. Coffey of N. Charleston; two daughters, Colleen C. Archambault of N. Charleston and Karen S. Coffey of Hanahan; three grandsons, Jason G. Archambault of N. Charleston, Todd C. Archambault of Alpharetta, Ga. and Brandon J. Coffey of Goose Creek; two granddaughters, Krystal D. Savage of Charleston and Jaime A. Coffey of Goose Creek; a great-granddaughter, Amanda L. Archambault of Charleston; two brothers, Louis Crowdis of Victoria, British Columbia and Fraser Crowdis of Louisville, Kentucky.
