Mr. Jordan died Thursday, Nov. 24. He was born in Hartsville, a son of Patsy Shumake Jordan and the late Bobby Weldon Jordan. He was employed with Wellman Inc. and was a member of Kelleytown Baptist Church.
Surviving are his mother of Hartsville; sisters, Myra Jordan and Mike Moles of Kinston, N.C., and Teresa (Robin) Sanders of Darlington; nieces, Bobbi and Stephanie Sanders of Darlington.
KATHY D. BOYKIN
Mrs. Boykin, who died Wednesday, Nov. 23, was born in Columbus, N.C., a daughter of Alfred and Betty Hart Sellers Jr. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was associated with the Dairi-O since she was age 17.
Surviving are her husband, Jake Boykin; daughter, Jakette Boykin; son, Kevin Boykin, all of Bishopville; her parents of Columbus, N.C.; father- and mother-in-law, Eddie and Eunice Boykin Sr. of Bishopville; sisters, Debra (Wayne) Mathis of Sumter, Sharon (Malcolm) Kissiah of Hartsville; Barbara (Steve) Culbreath of Fayetteville, N.C.; brothers, Allen Ray Sellers of Orangeburg, Alfred (Trey) Sellers III of Columbus, N.C.; grandson, Justin Blake Brown of Bishopville; brothers-in-law, Charles Boykin of Darlington; Ralph, Eddie Jr., Clay Boykin of Bishopville, Steve Boykin of Sumter; sister-in-law, Chris Watson of Bishopville; special friend, Charlene Logan of Bishopville.

ELEANOR B. WALLACE
Mrs. Wallace died Saturday, Nov. 26. Born in Chesterfield County, she was a daughter of the late Luther B. and Maybelle Turnage Boan. She was a faithful member and worker of West Hartsville Baptist Church for 45 years. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was employed with J.L. Coker & Co. for many years and also worked with Robert Wallace & Son Heating and Air Conditioning.
Surviving are her husband, Robert T. Wallace of Hartsville; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Bert Wallace of Savannah, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Bill Hurtes of Charleston, Beth and Ronnie Amerson of Hartsville; grandchildren and spouse, Jimmy and Denise Amerson, Meg Hurtes, Glenn and Paula Wallace Jr., Julie and Robert McCutchen, Matthew Hurtes, Christie Wallace; and four great-grandchildren.
CARRIE O'NEAL
Mrs. O'Neal died Sunday, Nov. 27. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Nancy Player Dixon. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Junior O'Neal of Patrick; sons and daughters-in-law, Buck and Ann O'Neal of Patrick, Candy and Sib O'Neal, Larry and Brenda O'Neal, Merdith and Lynn O'Neal, all of Patrick, and Eddie and Nikki O'Neal of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Emma Jean and Elwood Freeman of Great Falls, Myrtle and Bill McGuirt of Bennettsville, Catherine and Franklin Teal of Patrick, Linda and Lee Register of Patrick; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Gilbert and Patty Gainey; brothers, Wade Dixon and Earl Dixon.

Mr. Dixon, widower of Margaret Freeman Dixon, died Tuesday, Nov. 22. Born in Chesterfield County, he was a son of the late Burell and Emma Dixon Dixon. He was a member of Wilkes Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his sons, Richard Dixon of Hartsville and Donnie Dixon; daughter, Joane Runey of Virginia; sisters, Edell Melton of Cheraw, Geneva Gainey of Kannapolis, N.C.; brother, John Dixon of Hartsville. Special friends who showed love and compassion are James and Teresa Shaw and Johnny and Margie Winburn.

Mr. Graham died Sunday, Nov. 20, at his residence. He was born in Darlington County, a son of the late James and Annie Mills Graham. He received his education in the public schools in the area and was an employee of Rainbow Fertilizer.
Surviving are his companion, Juanita Poston of the home; four sisters, Louise Graham, Mat Dot Lee and Mary Ann Graham, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Geraldine Graham of Darlington; two brothers, Harvey Graham of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jimmy Graham of Hartsville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.

Mrs. Singleton died Friday, Nov. 18. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late George K. and Lula Weatherford Hill. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was retired as a nurse.
Surviving are her husband, Troy Singleton of Mooresville, N.C.; daughter, Diane Brown of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Adrian Flowers of Hartsville.
GEORGE BALFOUR
Mr. Balfour, widower of Betty Balfour, died Friday, Nov. 18. Born in Hyde Park, Mass., he was a son of the late James Walter and Hattie Whynott Balfour. He was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church and a Master Mason in East Hampton, Conn. He was a U. S. Navy and U. S. Coast Guard veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his son, Gary T. Balfour of Arusha, Tanzania; daughter and son-in-law, Jean B. and Elias Mixon of Hartsville; sister, Olive Coutier of Billerica, Mass.; grandchildren and spouse, Leslie Thomas and Donna Mixon of Beaufort, Scott Andrew Mixon of Hartsville; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Balfour and Robert Balfour.
TILLMAN JOHNSON
Mr. Johnson, widow of Ada Gainey Johnson, died Thursday, Nov. 17. Born in Chesterfield County, he was a son of the late James and Addie Grooms Johnson. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Galey & Lord.
Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie T. and Robin Johnson and David L. and Valerie Johnson, all of Hartsville; sisters, Geneva Heustess of Hartsville, Mazel Brown of Cassatt, Estell Demates of Cayce; brother, Malcolm Johnson of Patrick; grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Katie J. (Jonathan) Anderson, Tyler Johnson, Toni Steen, Jenna Johnson; great-grandchildren, Chafin Logan Johnson, Skylur Anderson; several loved nephews and nieces.
WILKINS BROWN JR.
Mr. Brown was born in Darlington County, a son of the late Wilkins Brown Sr. and Rosa Bell Richardson Brown. He was educated in the public schools of Darlington County. He joined the Navy in 1943 and served his country during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Mr. Brown was first a member of Green Hill Baptist Church in Hartsville. In 1942, he moved to Norfolk, Va., and later became a member of Hebron Church of God in Christ. He served as a deacon at the church for more than 15 years.
Surviving to cherish the loving memories of Mr. Brown are his wife, Thelma Annetta Brown of Norfolk, Va.; two sons, Carl (Darlene) Brown of Baltimore, Md., and Michael Brown of Bridgeport, Conn; one stepson, Curtis Lassiter of Norfolk, Va.; four sisters, Azalee Brown of Norfolk, Va., Virginia Lincoln and Lillie Mae Brown, both of Richmond, Va., and Louella Benjamin of Darlington; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Waldron of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and other relatives and very dear friends.
MARY BONAPARTE
Mrs. Bonaparte died Sunday, Nov. 20, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia after an illness. She was born in Darlington County, a daughter of the late Lish and Hester Kennedy Dundy. She received her education in the Darlington County public school system and was a member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Ophelia Bonaparte of Springfield Garden, N.Y.; one son, Calvin (Doris) Bonaparte of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Fannie K. Graham of Hackensack, N.J., and Amanda K. Bishop of Hartsville; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bonaparte of Springfield Garden, N.Y., and Justin Bonaparte of Miami, Fla.; four special relatives, Elizabeth Dixon, Geneva Cosom, Barbara B. Frazier and Mary Kennedy, all of Hartsville; a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
MAE S. WINBURN
Mrs. Winburn, who died Thursday, Nov. 17, was born in Florala, Ala., a daughter of Kathleen Thompkins Scruggs Taylor and the late Curtis Scruggs. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Roy F. Winburn; daughter, Sherri Winburn, both of Hartsville; son, Roy M. Winburn of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; sisters, Karen Morgan of Deatsville, Ala., Kim Peacock of Montgomery, Ala.; brother, Curtis Scruggs of Savannah, Ga.; two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
THORNWELL GAINEY
Thornwell died Friday, Nov. 18. He was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Thornwell Henry and Thelma Shoemake Gainey. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was retired from Gainey Tool and Machine in Hartsville. Surviving are his wife, Sharon P. Gainey; son, Henry (Tammy) Gainey; daughter, Pam (Rex) Tyner; brothers, Joseph L. Gainey, Eugene (Sandra) Gainey; sisters, Edithann (Harold) Duffee, Roma (J.B.) Gainey; grandchildren, Keri Gainey, Nichlos Gainey, Wil Weatherford, Austin Gainey, Michael Tyner and Kasey Tyner.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Gainey.

CHESSIE LEWIS
Mrs. Lewis was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late Isaiah M. and Lottie Adams Gandy. She was the widow of Julius Stanley Lewis. Mrs. Lewis was formerly employed by Wilson Hospital. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Central Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Curtis (Amelia) Lewis of Darlington; a grandson, William (Karen) Lewis of Darlington; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara G. Coleman of Darlington and Sadie G. Coker of Hartsville.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
