OTT, Jr., William
William J. Ott, Jr., 85, of Charleston, died Tuesday, May 28, at a local hospital. Born in Baltimore, Md., to the late William J. and Agatha H. Schaech Ott, Sr. He was a graduate of Baltimore Polytehic Institute, and attended John Hopkins University. Mr. Ott retired with 43 years of service from Exxon Mobile. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus where he received the 4th degree. Mr. Ott was past president of the Exxon Annuitants Club. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Farley, and husband, John of Maumee, Ohio, a brother, Robert Ott of Estero, Fla., a sister, Helen O. Burns of Baltimore, Md., and four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren all survive Mr. Ott. The family will receive friends, 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 2, with a vigil service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 150 Wentworth St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 3, at 10 a.m., at Church of Nativity with burial in Holy Cross cemetery. RIGSBEE, Nancy
Nancy Sherrer Rigsbee, 70, died May 30, 2002 at her residence. Born March 27, 1932 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Adaline Sherrer. She was a graduate of Fassifern School, Hendersonville, N.C. and attended Mary Washington College and the University of Georgia. Mrs. Rigsbee retired in 1990 as a social worker from the Charleston County Department of Social Services after 18 years. She was a member of Sangaree Baptist Church. Mrs. Rigsbee is survived by two daughters and their husbands Adaline Sherrel Lawson and Paul C. Lawson, Jr., Summerville, S.C., and Nancy Melissa Rigsbee Howard and James M. Howard, Charleston, S.C.; son, Leonard Herbert Oliver, Jr., Daytona, Fla., sister, Sarah Sherrer Smith, Charleston, S.C.; sister-in-law Carolyn Hopkins, Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Ashley Melissa Lawson, Michael James Howard, and Leonard Herbert Oliver, III and his wife Brandy Oliver, two great-grandchildren Cheyenne Rose Oliver, and James Grady McMillan, IV; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, Charleston. WOODS, Rita
SUMMERVILLE - Rita "Renee" Hanke-Woods, 38, of Summerville, S.C., died May 26, 2002. Mrs. Hanke-Woods is the daughter of the late Hank Hanke. Mrs. Hanke-Woods was born December 2, 1963 in Baltimore, Md. She was a physical therapist with the Summerville Medical Center and a former employee of Roper Hospital in Charleston, S.C. She was also a graduate of the University of Maryland.
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Hanke-Woods will be held June 9, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Timonium, Md. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Bertine Hanke, her husband, Mark Woods of Summerville, S.C., two sons, Michael Pittinger and Johnathan Woods, both of Summerville, S.C.; a brother, Daniel Hanke of Hamstead, Md. and Lida Rosenburg of Hamstead, Md.

WALTERBORO - Mr. John Barkley Houghton, 82, of Walterboro, died Friday at Colleton Place in Walterboro. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, at Magnolia cemetery in Charleston directed by BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.
Mr. Houghton was born in Charleston and was a son of Howard W. and Mary Louise Barkley Houghton. He was a retired realtor and was a member of St. Jude's Episcopal Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are several nieces.

Edith Kemmerlin Felder, 87, wife of the late Barney Felder, died May 30, 2002 at a Charleston hospital.

Mrs. Felder was born May 21, 1915 in Cameron, S.C., a daughter of the late Fred S. Kemmerlin, Sr. and Leola Dantzler Kemmerlin. She attended Cummings Chapel in Ridgeville, S.C.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Fred S. (Kirby) Kemmerlin, Jr. and Melvin L. Kemmerlin, both of Ridgeville, S.C. and 1 sister, Janie Mae Carter, of Ridgeville, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his mother of Hanahan, SC, formerly of Gadsden, AL; one son, Timothy R. Collins of Moody, AL; one daughter, Andrea Leah Collins of Birmingham, AL; a brother and sister-in-law, Lanny R. and Diane Paul of Columbia, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Doug Conner of Hanahan, SC; one grandchild, Ethan Blaine Collins of Birmingham, AL.

Christopher Joseph Cahill, 21, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 in Greenville, SC. Christopher was born May 21, 1981 in Charleston, the son of Rev. Mr. Joseph Francis Cahill and Catherine Hudson Cahill of Mount Pleasant, SC. He was a rising senior at Furman University. Besides his parents, he is survived by his Grandmother, Mrs. Ellen T.
