Remains to the church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Jenkins will lie-in-state until time of service. There will be no after viewing. There will be no wake.

BENNETT, Robert
Robert Brodie Bennett, 84, died Friday July 19, 2002 at local hospital. Born January 1, 1918, he was the son of the late Cornelius Morris and Ethel Brodie Bennett. Mr. Bennett was retired millwright supervisor with AGWAY and Suffolk County, NY. He was a member of the Riverhead, NY Masonic Lodge #399 and was a member of the Egypt Temple Shrine (Scottish rite) in Tampa, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Steenbergh Bennett of Moncks Corner, S.C. three sons; Joseph Bennett of Senaca Falls, NY, Warren Bennett of Kingsland, GA, and William Bennett of Fayetteville, AR, a daughter, Susan Heins of Moncks Corner, S.C., two brothers; Hugh Bennett of Englewood, FL and John Bennett of Rochester, NY, two sisters Jean Bennett of Rotunda West, FL, and Alice Atkins of Allegheny, NY, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be private. Arrangements by CREMATION CENTER OF CHARLESTON.
MCFADDEN, Stephanie
KINGSTREE- Mrs. Stephanie S. McFadden, 89, widow of John F. McFadden, died Saturday in a Lake City hospital.
Mrs. McFadden was born in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Stojeba. She was educated in St. Louis schools and was a retired women's clothing designer. Mrs. McFadden lived in Jacksonville, Florida before retiring to Kingstree, and was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church. Survivors: 3 nephews, Joe (Barbara) Stojeba of St. Charles, MO, Stanley (Jonni) Stojeba of Canton, MI, Scott (Barbara) McFadden of Midlothian, VA; 3 nieces, Dell Prosser and Corrine (Francis) Wilson, both of Kingstree and Caroline P. Hammond of Chapin; Great nieces and nephews, Dr. Todd Stojeba, Jill Stojeba, Wendy (Larry) Schneider all of St. Charles, MO and Staci, Nikki, and Kiley Stojeba all of Canton, MI, Nancy P. (John) Turner of Lexington, Scottie (Glenn) Amick of Chapin, Capers (Jennifer) Hammond of Alpharetta, GA, Frank (Lynn) Wilson of Cades, Reveley (Greg) Thomy of Lake City, Virginia (Leonard) Jonte of Greeleyville.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, with burial to follow in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Kingstree United Methodist Church.
HAGBERG, Roy
AIKEN - Mr. Roy Eugene Hagberg, Jr., 77, of 117 Lynwood Drive, died Saturday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Graveside in Peniel Baptist Church cemetery, Islandton at 12:00 Tuesday, directed by THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME. WALTERBORO CHAPEL.
Mr. Hagberg was born in Nobles County, Minnesota and was a son of the late Roy E. Hagberg, Sr. and Lucille Lanpop Hagberg. He retired after thirty years with Dupont- Savannah River Plant.
He served in the navy for six years and was a Veteran of World War II. He grew up helping his dad on the farm. He attended Worthington Junior College. Then graduated from Duke University in January of 1952. He was a member of The American Legion Post #0063 in Augusta, and The VFW Post #08760 in Beaufort.
Surviving are: his wife- Mary Martin Hagberg; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Luis Perez of Aiken; son and daughter-in-law Gene and Juanita Hagberg of Peoria, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law Betty and Nick Odom of Evans, GA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, WALTERBORO CHAPEL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Emphysema Association.
CATTERTON, Dee
WALTERBORO- Dee Dee Catterton, 19, of 4608 Charleston Highway, Walterboro, died Sunday, July 21, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 o'clock Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in the CHAPEL OF THE BRICE W. HERNDON & SONS FUNERAL HOMES. WALTERBORO CHAPEL. Interment will follow in the Catterton Family cemetery.
Dee Dee was born March 31, 1983 in Charleston County and was a daughter of Marshall and Kay Blackburn Catterton. She was a graduate of the Walterboro High School. Class of 2001 and was currently studying for an Associate's Degree in Chemistry degree at the University of South Carolina, Salkehatchie Campus in Walterboro. She was a Quality Control Technician with Floralife in Walterboro, and had an avid love for her dogs.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Walterboro are: two sisters, Kay Cee Catterton and Hope Michelle Catterton both of Walterboro; a brother, Marshall W. "Bubba" Catterton, Jr. of Walterboro: a maternal grandmother, Mary Blackburn Goodale of Walterboro; a nephew, Spencer Lee Catterton; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Mrs. Coates, widow of Malcolm Thomas Coates, died Saturday, July 20, 2002. Born in McCormick, S.C., she was the daughter of the late James Wallace and Maggie Evelyn Ward McDonald. Mrs. Coates was a lifelong area resident and was a charter member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church. She was retired partner and secretary/bookkeeper of Coates Paving Company.
Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Lou LaCons of Chappells, S.C.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Coates was predeceased by sisters, Ruby McDonald and Mae Padgett, both of N. Charleston; brothers, James Wallace McDonald of Hanahan, Ernest McDonald of West Columbia, Dacus McDonald of Ohio and Marvin McDonald of Augusta, GA.

Mr. Fox was born July 23, 1920, in Ramsey, New Jersey, a son of the late Henry Arthur and Harriett Winter Fox. Mr. Fox was a graduate of Ramsey (NJ) schools as well as schools in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended Fairleigh Dickinson College. He served in World War II in the United States Coast Guard and continued serving his country in the U.S. Army Reserves retiring after 33 years as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and 3rd Army Rifle Team statistician. Mr. Fox was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston and was an ordained Deacon and had previously been involved in the Royal Ambassadors Program for young boys of the church. Mr. Fox was retired from the Medical University of S.C. as Director of Business Operations and also helped found the Hospital Financial Management Association, as well as having served as a Certified Manager of Patient Accounting at the Medical University of S.C. Hospital and had received the Robert H. Reeves and William G. Follner merit awards for outstanding service to the American Association of Hospital Accountants and was the recipient of the Frederick T. Muncie Award for outstanding service to the Hospital Financial Management Association. Mr. Fox also was a Master Gardner, avid fisherman, bowler and golfer. He also held memberships in the Charleston Lions Club for many years as well as the Transportation Club of Charleston.
Surviving are his wife of Mount Pleasant, S.C., three sons and their spouses, Robert H, Jr., and his wife Elaine of McDonough, Ga., Broughton Brooks and his wife Susan of Warner-Robins, Ga., Timothy W. and his wife Anne of James Island, S.C., his daughter and spouse, Mary Anne and husband David Demster of Lilburn, Ga., as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan and spouse Jennifer Fox, B.J. Fox, Anney Demster, Jennifer Fox, William Demster, Michael Fox, and Manning Demster. He is also survived by a step-granddaughter, Erica Rowley and two step-great-grandchildren, Liam and Brooks Rowley.
