Pete Duritzo, of Isle of Palms, S.C., husband of Shirley C. Duritzo died Thursday, July 18, 2002. Mr. Duritzo was born in Greer, S.C., a son of Robert and Mattie Pearson. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was a Civil Engineer with Thomas & Hutton. He was also a Veteran of the US Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of Isle of Palms, S.C., two daughters, Janice Anderson of Atlanta, GA; and Lisa Bridges of Easley, S.C., one son, Mark Miller of Pasadena, CA, his mother, Mattie Pearson of Greer, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Hall of Greer, S. C; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

READ, Christine
GEORGETOWN - Christine Yarborough Read, 90, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Read was born in Mullins on September 3, 1911, a daughter of the late Hubert Edward Yarborough and Willena Daniel Yarborough. She moved to Columbia as a teenager and graduated from Columbia High School. She lived in Georgetown for nearly 60 years and was the widow of Allen Deas Read. Mrs. Read was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Episcopal Church Women and a former Chairperson for the church plantation tours.
Surviving are, two daughters, Christine R. Swain and her husband Gene of Caledonia, Minn., and Sarah R. Steen and her husband Joseph of Georgetown, and a son, Allen D. Read, Jr., and his wife, Candace of Gaithersburg, Md., eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 o'clock, Monday afternoon, July 22, 2002, at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Inurnment will follow in the Churchyard under the direction of the Georgetown Chapel of MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

Edward L. Younglove, Sr., 71, of Mount Pleasant, died July 16, 2002, in a local hospital. Mr. Younglove retire from active duty in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and from the Naval Reserves in 1977. He worked at Avco and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a marine machinist in 1988. His wife, Mary Ellen McDonaugh Younglove, preceded him in death. His survivors include his son, Eddie Younglove, Jr.; a daughter, Bonnie Younglove Howard; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
