HILL, Cassandra
Cassandra "Cassie" Ann Hill, 18, of Ridgeville, died Friday, July 12, 2002, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Las Vegas, Nev. to Phillip Jesse Hill, II and Sharon Dodgins Hill. Besides her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Kelsie Marie Parker; a brother, Samuel Eugene Briley of Korea; two sisters, Crystal Lynn Hill and Heather Nicole Youngblood, both of Pooler, Ga.; paternal grandmother, Lillian Elizabeth "Liz" Sharpe Hill of Statesboro, Ga.; and maternal grandmother, Nancy Akins Dodgins of Goose Creek, S.C. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM, at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. Interment will be in Dorchester Memory Garden. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Suite 205, Columbia, S.C. 29204.

GAYLES, Donald
Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 13, 2002, Mr. Donald "Poochie" Gayles. Residence, 3845 Ashley Shores Dr., North Charleston, S.C. Mr. Gayles is survived by his mother Mrs. Sarah Rollerson of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rivers (William) of North Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Ruth Blalock (Allen) of Virginia Beach, Va. Mr. Gayles is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Interment, private.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Thaddeus Richardson, those of his children, Troy Richardson, Ashley, Takasia and Shakayla Wright, parents, Ms. Blondell Richardson and Mr. Thomas Wright, Jr., brother, Melvin Howard III, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Richardson and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wright, Sr., fiancée, Ms. Sonya Jones, aunts, uncles, and cousins are invited to attend his funeral services on Wednesday, July 17, 2002, 1 p.m., in New St. James Bethel AME Church, 5303 Maybank Hwy., Wadmalaw Island, S.C. BENNETT, Luther
JEFFERSON, S.C. - Mr. Luther James Bennett, 87, died Monday, July 15, 2002. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 17, 2002, 4 p.m., at Jefferson First Baptist Church. Burial in Jefferson cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at the Bennett Residence, Main Street.
Mr. Bennett was born May 6, 1915, and was a life-long resident of Chesterfield County. He was the son of the late Luke B. and Glendora Price Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a retired Farmer, Merchant, Chesterfield County employee, and co-owner of Jefferson Flower Shop. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and attended Jefferson First Baptist Church, and was a member of Macedonia Masonic Lodge 239 for the past 52 years.
Survivors include, wife, Ada Terry Bennett of the home; daughter, Sharon Bennett Gregory of Florence, S.C.; three granddaughters, Sharon Kristen Gregory and Avril Elizabeth Gregory, both of Charleston, S.C., and Gracen Gregory Jennings and husband Mark of Davidson, N.C.; two sisters, Eva Mills of Chesterfield, S.C., and Ethel Terry of Kannapolis, N.C.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 247, Jefferson, S.C. 29718, or Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Alline Jordan, 4822 Evans Mill Road, Pageland, S.C. 29728.

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 14, 2002, Hattie York Rutherford, widow of Marvin A. Rutherford. Residence, North Charleston, S.C.
The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Wednesday morning, July 17, 2002, at 11 o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Rutherford was born in Elmore, Ala., the daughter of Henry Coleman York and Anna Charles York. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Martin of La.; one brother, William H. York, La.; three granddaughters, Felicia R. Shearouse of North Charleston, S.C., Ann Williams of Calif., and Susan Zey of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; four grandsons, Larry Rutherford of Minn., David Rutherford of Summerville, S.C., Joseph Williams of Charleston, S.C., and Ray Williams of Florence, S.C., 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

COKER, Raymond
The relatives and friends of Raymond Keith Coker, Sr., are invited to attend his funeral services, Tuesday, at 1:30 o'clock, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

RISHER, Hattie
Entered into eternal rest on the evening of July 10, 2002, Hattie Sue Fogle Risher, widow of C.W.O. Benjamin Risher, U.S.N. (Ret.). Residence, Greenville, S.C., formerly of Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Wednesday at ten o'clock in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will be private at a later date. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Tuesday between six and eight o'clock.
Mrs. Risher was born July 16, 1927 in Cope, South Carolina, the daughter of Ollie Fogle and Elizabeth Mariah Smoak Fogle. After 25 years, she retired as a purchasing agent with MUSC. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and a member and past president of the S.C. State Retirement Employee's Association.
She is survived by two sons: Dennis B. Risher of Simpsonville, S.C. and Randy Risher of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers: George Raymond Fogle of Orangeburg, S.C. and Jacob (Jake) Fogle of Cope, S.C.; one sister: Lizzie Mae F. Gray of Cordova, S.C.; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 10794, Greenville, S.C. 29603.

DAVIDONIS, Alexander
Entered into eternal rest the morning of July 14, 2002, Alexander Davidonis, husband of Nancy B. Davidonis. Residence, James Island, S.C.
All services and burial will be private, according to J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Mr. Davidonis was born August 23, 1933 in Chicago, Il., the son of George and Mary Davidonis.

WORLEY, Maeona S.
Maeona Stiles Worley, 83, of Moncks Corner, a retired textile worker, died Sunday at her residence.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
Mrs. Worley was born April 13, 1919, in Cherokee County, North Carolina, a daughter of John V. Stiles and Minnie Ross Stiles. She was a Baptist. She was the widow of Vivian Worley.
Surviving are a son, Roger Worley of Moncks Corner; daughter, Minnie Kay Patton of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Betty Eller of Moncks Corner; brother, Maynard Stiles of Cleveland, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
