Mr. Booth was born July 16, 1920 in Graniteville, S.C., the son of George K. Booth and Bessie O'Banion Booth. He was a Coast Guard W.W. II veteran, and a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mr. Booth was retired from Durham Life Insurance Company, and the former owner of Booth's Ceramics, James Island, S.C.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Booth Spivey of James Island, S.C.; three sons, Jim L. Booth of James Island, S.C., Rick W. Booth of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Lewis G. Booth, Jr., of James Island, S.C.; two sisters, Myrtle B. Dunn and June B. Turnbull, both of Graniteville, S.C.; and eight grandchildren.

IENELLO, Frederick

Mr. Ienello was born October 15, 1927 in Boston, Mass., the son of Frederick Ienello, Sr., and Lucy Gayton Ienello. He received a Masters in Education and was a retired guidance counselor at Bayport-Blue Point High School in Bayport, N.Y. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was a member of Elks Lodge 242, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3137.
Mr. Ienello is survived by a son, Michael James Ienello of Fairbanks, Alaska and Hanahan, S.C.; two daughters, Sandra Ienello Kuehl of Hamden, Conn., and Lila Ann Ienello of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Charles Custer of Fairbanks, Alaska, Lauren and Amanda Kuehl, both of Hamden, Conn.; and a "devoted special friend", Alice Bryan of North Charleston, S.C.

Donald Owen Mercer, 58, of Summerville, S.C. died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at a Charleston hospital.

Mr. Mercer was born July 3, 1944 in Tampa, Florida, a son of the late Walter Mercer Sr. and Cynthia Carroll Mercer. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in Vietnam and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Summerville Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Dale Johnson Mercer of Summerville, S.C., a son, Chris Mercer of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., a daughter, Sharon Lanneau of Summerville, S.C. 2 sisters, Carolyn Deas of North Augusta, S.C. and Linda Tant of Columbia, S.C., a brother, Walter Mercer, Jr. of Jackson, S.C. and a grandson, Phillip Thomas Lanneau of Summerville, S.C.

Pearl Finucan Hiott, 85, of Summerville, S.C., died Friday, July 12, 2002 at her residence. Mrs. Hiott was born March 13, 1917 in Summerville, S.C., a daughter of the late Barney Branford Finucan and Helen Mew Finucan. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and The College of Charleston. She was a long-time member of St. John The Beloved Catholic Church, where she actively participated in the Women's Club and was a past president.
Survivors include her husband, Claude David Hiott, Sr. of Summerville, S.C., a son, Claude David Hiott, Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Summerville, S.C., 4 daughters, Karen Hiott and Rhoda Hiott, both of Summerville, S.C., Valerie Ackerman and her husband John of Kingsland, Ga., and Vicki Waltzer and her husband Karl of Amarillo, Tx., a sister, Rhoda Moore of Independence, Missouri and 7 grandchildren. WOOSTER- Steven Bruce Gullifer, 34, of 1904 Cher Court, Wooster, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at his home.
Born January 26, 1968 he was the son of Bruce E. and Patricia Sherrin Gullifer.
He was the Owner and Operator of the Muddy Waters Cafe. Served 5 years in the U.S. Marines attaining the rank of Sgt. He had attended the Navy Air Traffic Control School and was nominated for the Navy Achievement Medal. He attended the University of Maryland (Asian Div.) where he received an Associate Degree.
Surviving are wife, Josilyn Clark Gullifer of Wooster, son, Jansen Gullifer of the home, sisters, Cindy Sampson of Honolulu, HI and Kathy Desautelle of Gilford, NH, his mother, Patricia Vaughn of Ballard, WV, and his father, Bruce E. Gullifer of Waterville, ME.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Wooster United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Dr. Charles Herbert Zemp, Jr., 75, a retired Pediatrician, died Friday at his residence.

Dr. Zemp was born June 11, 1927 in Charlotte, N.C., a son of the late Charles Herbert Zemp and Elizabeth Workman Zemp. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and the Medical University of S.C., class of 1949. His Pediatric residency and rotating Internship was served at Roper Hospital. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Pacific Theatre as a Medical Officer on the Carrier Philippine Sea.
Surviving are: his wife, Lynda Mowrey Zemp, six sons, Charles H. Zemp, IV of Green Pond, Douglas B. Zemp of Edisto Island, R. J. Stevens, III of Hudson, NC, David F. Stevens and Bryan Creger both of Lenoir, NC and Robert Creger of Richmond, VA, four daughters, Virginia Z. Fisher of Lawrence, KS, Elizabeth Z. Everard and Shannon Zemp both of Ocala, FL and Pamela S. Whitley of Oakboro, NC, a brother, Francis Lachicotte Zemp of Camden and eleven grandchildren.
