The relatives and friends of Mrs. Marie Mitchell Palmer are invited to attend her funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 in St. Luke's AME Church, Hwy 162 (Hollywood) Rev. GRAHAM, Helen
HEMINGWAY, S.C. - Helen Coker Graham, 85, widow of Nelson Warren Graham, died Friday, July 12, 2002, in a Georgetown hospital.
Mrs. Graham was born in Cades, S.C., a daughter of the late William David Coker and the late Elizabeth Fitch Coker. She was retired from Tupperware Mfg. Co., a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Fannie Mae Bullard Prayer Group, Golden Circle Sunday School Class, Young at Heart Senior Adult Group and was a graduate of Hebron High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen Elizabeth Owens of Hemingway and Nell Graham Postell of Charleston, S.C.; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Graham was pre-deceased by a son, Ira Nelson Graham; sister, Bertha C. Kolpf.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by MORRIS FUNERAL HOME OF HEMINGWAY, will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends a the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday.
MAGETTE, Susan
Susan Hargrave Magette entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 10, 2002. A memorial service in honor of her life will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul, 126 Coming Street, Charleston, at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2002.
Ms. Magette was born to Grover Lawrence and Susan Suggs Magette on March 13, 1917. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy and retired as a Commander from the United States Naval Reserves. She worked at and retired from the Supply Center at the former Charleston Naval Station.
Susan's cousins and their families survive her, Susan Mihalik of Port Washington, New York, and Jane and Fred Terry of Tucker, Ga. She will be sadly missed by her foster family: daughter, Shirley Phillips, granddaughter, Deborah Harrell and her husband Billy and great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Trevor, all of Goose Creek, S.C.
Susan was a generous contributor to numerous causes and charities. She was devoted to her church, formerly St. Thomas Episcopal Church in North Charleston and, more recently, the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul in downtown Charleston.

MCNAMARA, Thomas
Thomas F. McNamara, 75, died on Thursday, July 11, 2002, at a local hospital. Mr. McNamara was born October 4, 1926, in Bronx, N.Y., the son of Thomas F. and Catherine Sullivan McNamara. He was retired from Schwerman Trucking Co. as a terminal manager. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy in August 1946. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mr. McNamara is survived by one sister, Patricia McNamara of Villanova, Pa., and two brothers, Walter J. McNamara, of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Vincent J. McNamara, of Fort Pierce, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 12, 2002, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad Street, Charleston, S.C. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. MCCABE, Dorothy
Dorothy Saunders McCabe, 78, widow of Rev. Mr. Farrell W. McCabe, Sr. of Charleston died Tuesday, July 9, 2002 in Charleston. Mrs. McCabe was born Sunday, January 6, 1924 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of Alfred Whiting Saunders, Sr. and Helen Marie Tucker Saunders Rae. She honorably served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mrs. McCabe was a retired Budget Analyst with the Charleston County School District. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she served both as a Lay Minister and a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. McCabe was a member of the Women's Guild by whom she was selected Woman of the Year in 2002, and also selected Woman of the Year 2002, by the Charleston Deanery of Catholic Women. She was a member of the S.C. Council of Catholic Women, the Associates of the S.C. Council of Catholic Women. National Council of Catholic Women, the Associates of National Council of Catholic Women, Province of Atlanta Council of Catholic Women, Past President and Director of Friends of St. Teresa, attend the Institute for Pastoral Life for Lay Ministry, past member of the Homemaker's Club and past Guardian aud Litem. Surviving are three daughters, Sharon McCabe and Alicia M. Littleton both of Charleston and Maureen M. Parker of California; four sons, Farrell W. McCabe, Jr. and David McCabe both of Charleston, Peter McCabe of Colorado and Mark McCabe of Georgia; a brother, Alfred W. Saunders, Jr. of Georgia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
