Mrs. Summers was born in Claygate, England, the daughter of Amy Down Speller and Arthur Edgerton Speller. She was a member of the War Brides Association. She was an Episcopalian.
Surviving are two daughters- Dianne Summers Bennett of Folly Beach, S.C., and Georgina Summers Seffens of Ravenel, S.C.; one son- Jeremy Summers of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren- Cynthia C. Saukas of Summerville, S.C., Shelley Lynn Summers of Arlington, VA, Gregory Keith Runion of Charleston, S.C., Shane Michael Summers of Bethesda, MD, and Amy K. Seffens of Ravenel, S.C.; one great-granddaughter- Amy Marie Saukas of Summerville, S.C.

LEE, Vernon
Vernon D. Lee, 84, of Moncks Corner, died Tuesday, July 10, 2002, at a local hospital.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2002, 11 a.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
Born February 19, 1918, in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was the son of the late Orella D. Lee and Lottie Bevans Lee.
Mr. Lee was a retired painter, from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was an Army veteran of W.W.II. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Estelle Lee, of Moncks Corner, four daughters, Dorothy Lee Renne, of Chapin, S.C., Peggy L. Brant, of Moncks Corner, S.C., Valynda L. Ham of North Charleston, S.C., and Joan L. Noll, of Sullivan's Island, S.C., five sons, Robert Harold Lee, of Chapin, S.C., James Vernon Lee, of Hanahan, S.C., Raymond Earl Lee, of Neptune Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Alvin Lee, of Monck's Corner, 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Friday, July 12, 2002, 6 to 9 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. WEBB, Nicky B.
Nicky Britt Webb, 65, of North Charleston, a retired diesel mechanic with Terminal Services, died Tuesday at a Charleston hospital.

Mr. Webb was born August 14, 1936, at Pine Tops, North Carolina, a son of William Raymond Webb and Minnie Luper Webb. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Ann Green Webb of North Charleston; son, Terrance Jay Webb of Trenton, S.C; four daughters, Konnye Raye Bennett, Holly Gayle Platts and Nikki Britt Mundy all of Ladson; Jolanda (Joie) Webb of North Charleston; two step-sons, Paris D. Baca of Charleston; Rome M. Green of Columbia; two brothers, Kenny Ray Webb of Pine Tops, N.C.; Allen Webb of Macclesfield, N.C.; two sisters, Jesse Geraldine Edmondson of Macclesfield, N.C.; June Reason of Tarboro, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
