KINGSTREE - Allene Beal Sauls, 74, widow of Barnie R. Sauls, died Saturday in a Florence hospital.
Mrs. Sauls was born in Siler City, NC, a daughter of Grace Moore and Percy Thomas Beal. She attended NC schools and was a member of Kingstree Second Baptist Church.
Survivors: one son, Wayne Beal of Siler City, NC; three sisters, Ava E. Lee Spivey and Betty Anne Brown of Siler City, Hettie Mae Larson of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, with burial in the Kingstree Second Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Monday night at the funeral home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lillie D. Pressley will be held Monday, July 8, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship United Methodist Church, Nesmith S.C. Interment will follow in the Friendship cemetery of Nesmith. Reverend Leonard Huggins, Jr. Pastor will conduct the religious services.
Mrs. Pressley entered into eternal on Thursday, July 4, in the McLeod Medical Center after an illness. She was born in 1909 in Nesmith, S.C. She was a daughter of the Late Mr. Columbus and Amanda Gamble Pressley of Nesmith, S.C. She was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 218 where she achieved the position of District Deputy. She was also a member Joseph and Brother Lodge where she served as Grand Secretary. She taught school in the public schools of Williamsburg for many years.
She was united in Holy Wedlock to Mr. Ollie E. Pressley who preceded her in death. This union was blessed with ten children. Four preceded her in death. Those who are left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Janie Pressley of East Lyme, Conn. Odessa Pressley Jones of Bronx, NY, Shirley Jean Jones of Nesmith, S.C. Three sons: George E. Pressley of Nesmith, S.C., Edward S. Pressley of Bronx, NY and Ronald T. Pressley of Philadelphia, PA. Two sisters: Willie B. Lynch of Washington, DC and Fannie E. Watson of Kingstree, S.C. Five brothers: Clayton Pressley and Herbert Pressley of Philadelphia, PA, Claudie Pressley of Nesmith, S.C. and Albert Pressley of Walterboro, S.C. and J. B. Pressley of Oxen Hill, MD. Twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

LINKER, Jeannette
Jeannette P. Linker, 71, of Charleston died Friday, July 5th at her residence. Born in Concord, NC to the late Robert Levi and Mabel Craven Pinion, Sr. She was married
to the late Glenn R. Linker, Sr. She retired from Olan Mills after many years of dedication. Mrs. Linker was a devoted member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where she served in many different capacities. She was secretary of the U. M. W. (United Methodist Women), Circle Chairmen, Acolyte and Crucifix Coordinator for 31 years, Adult Choir member for 36 years, and served on the PPR committee. Mrs. Linker was also a member of the Goodness Gracious Band that performed all over mainly at retirement homes and nursing homes. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia M. Sunde of Charleston, three sons, Glenn R. Linker, Jr., of Charleston, Timothy D. Linker, of Charleston, and Christopher R. Linker and wife Alicia of St. Louis, Missouri, four grandchildren, Milena Linker, Gabrielle Linker, Hunter Linker, and Kali Sunde. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 8th at St. Mark United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens located on Hwy 61. BALLIET, Myra
Myra Villeponteaux Balliet, 57, of James Island died Saturday, July 6th at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to Ruth Celestine Laurey Villeponteaux and the late James Matthew Villeponteaux. Mrs. Balliet was a graduate of Bishop England High School Class of 1961. She was employed with the Medical University of South Carolina serving 23 years in the Trauma Unit as an administrative specialist. She was also a member of the West Ashley American Legion Post. Surviving Mrs. Balliet is her mother Ruth C. Laurey Villeponteaux of Charleston, three sons, Thomas Chapman Balliet, Jr., of Augusta, GA. James Lynwood Balliet and wife Karen of James Island, and Jason Lawrence Balliet and wife Tammy of Macon, GA., brother, Billy Villeponteaux and wife Rachel of James Island, three sisters, Donna Villeponteaux and husband David Hopkins, Joann Johnston and husband Jim, Marilu Villeponteaux all of James Island, S.C. Three grandchildren, Morgan Balliet, Shelby Balliet, Faith Balliet, and two step-grandchildren, Benjamin Chantzen, and Taylor Wiedemann.

CANADYS - Mrs. Rachel Bailey Hiott Coe, of 89 Coe Lane, Canadys, died Friday, July 5, 2002 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday, July 9, 2002, in the Canaan Baptist Church in Canadys. Interment will follow in Woodland cemetery.
Mrs. Coe was born March 2, 1924 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Sam and Beulah Langdale Bailey. She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church and was twice married
first to the late Fletcher Hiott and last to the late Raymond Coe.
Surviving are: four daughters, Reverend Dolly Stone of Walterboro. Martha Ebarb of Jefferson, Texas, Brenda Lewis of Canadys and Marie Winterrose of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sons, Roy Hiott of Thousand Oaks, California, Tommy Hiott of Oxnard, California, and Danny Ray Coe of Canadys: five brothers, Parker Bailey and Lawrence Bailey, Jr. Both of Canadys, Reverend Reginald Bailey of Bamberg, Roland Bailey of Columbia and Dr. Jerry Bailey of Walterboro; one sister Beulah Gatch of Columbia; twenty-six grandchildren; and forty-three great-grandchildren.
