Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 29, 2002, Tracy William Chambers. Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Friday at eleven o'clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Sthur's Downtown Chapel Thursday evening between six and eight o'clock.
Mr. Chambers was born April 28, 1973 in Charleston, S.C., a son of Ernest W. Chambers and Mae Frances Parker Plumer. He graduated from James Island High School and an electronics technician with Infotech Co.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Carolyn R. Chambers of Charleston, S.C. and his mother of James Island, S.C., his parental grandmother, Helen G. Chambers of Bel Air, Maryland, two brothers, Ernest Lee Chambers of Charleston, S.C. and Christopher David Chambers if James Island, S.C., one step sister, Carol Hill of Irvine, California, 2 nephews, Tyler William Chambers and Mark Patrick Hill.
TURNER, Vera
Relatives and friends of Ms. Vera R. Turner of Baltimore, MD (formerly of Jamestown, SC), the beloved granddaughter of the late, Dea. Samuel Palmer, are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Jamestown, S.C. Interment, Church cemetery. PAPPAS, Jimmy
Jimmy Lee Pappas, 69, of Charleston, S.C. died February 24, 2002. Born August 10, 1932 in Ashville, N.C., the son of Lennie Davis and Arthur Demitrius Pappas, Jimmy Lee served his country with an outstanding career, including four tours in Vietnam, as a Marine Corps fighter pilot. A graveside servile will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, in Lewis Memorial Park, 415 Beaver Dam Road, Ashville, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
WHITE, Bonnie
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 30, 2002, Bonnie Faye White, wife of Joseph Vernon White. Residence, Mount Pleasant, S.C. The relatives and friend of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vernon White are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter in J. Mrs. White was born January 1, 1947 in Meredian, Miss., a daughter of Elizabeth Louise Steele Gilmore and the late Robert Douglas Gilmore.
She is survived by her husband of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one son, Jackson Marston of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; three step-daughters, Virginia Dempsey of James Island, S.C., Diane Hickman of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Linda Carmack of North Charleston, S.C.; one step-son, Michael White of North Charleston, S.C.; four step-grandchildren; her mother of North Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Patricia Shine of Isle of Palms, S.C., Mickey Roof of Lexington, S.C.; two nieces, Meridith Roof of Lexington, S.C., Alexandra Debnam of Charleston, S.C.; and one nephew, Michael Budd, of New York.

Entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2002, John Edward "Rodney" White, the beloved son of Carolina White; step-son of Louise Lowery; grandson of Edna White; the brother of Melisha Reed, Walter White, and Rodney, Robin, Jonathon, Cephus, Marcus and Veronica Williams, Patrice Tisdale, and Melissa Gaines; the nephew of Arthur Wilson, and Saul, Cephus and Jimmy White. SONS, Vera
MULLINS, S.C. - Mrs. Vera Collins Sons, 88, widow of George Drayton Sons, Sr., died Sunday, June 30, 2002 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Frey officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sons was born May 16, 1914 in Marion County, a daughter of the late H. Wade and Mabeth Williamson Collins. Mrs. Sons was a retired teacher, having taught in Andrews and the Horry County Schools for 34 years. She was a graduate of Mullins High School. Mrs. Sons graduated from Limestone College in 1936 with a degree in Education and Religion. Mrs. Sons was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Edwards Sunday School Class.
Surviving Mrs. Sons are a son, George D. Sons, Jr. and his wife, Virginia of Allendale; a brother, Augustus E. Collins of Mullins; and a sister, Mamie Alice C. Caskey of Lancaster.
Memorials may be made to the Stith Class, c/o Macedonia United Methodist Church, 402 N. Main St., Mullins, S.C. 29574.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 til 9 p.m. at COX-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
DRIGGERS, Clara
Clara R. "Jean" Driggers, 74, of South Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, S.C., a retired cigar inspector for the American Tobacco Company, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Church cemetery. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. this Monday evening.
Ms. Driggers was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Moncks Corner, S.C., a daughter of Leon J. Driggers, Sr. and Rose Lee Clark Driggers. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She attended Berkeley County Schools.
Surviving are, a son, Hank Mitchum Driggers of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Forrest Sfreddo and Rosemarie "Dot" Peeples both of Summerville and Gwendolyn Clark of Moncks Corner; a brother, R.A. Driggers of Moncks Corner; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
DIAZ, Donna
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 29, 2002, in Columbia, S.C., Donna Marie Diaz, late residence, 33 Pendleton Street, Charleston, S.C. Those of her parents, Judge and Mrs. Bernard R. Fielding, sister, Constance Fielding, brother, Bernard Fielding, Jr., niece, Miss Deja Johnson, devoted friend, Mr. Anthony (Rick) Brown, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 60 Wentworth Street. The remains will be an the church on Monday evening, July 1, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. where the family will be receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The remains will be at the church at 12 noon on Tuesday for viewing until funeral time. Interment will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Lincoln Memorial cemetery in Spartanburg, S.C., with services conducted by Woodward Funeral Home of Spartanburg. SNIDER, Mary
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 30, 2002, Mary Ona Snider, widow of Clarence Woodrow Snider. Residence, Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Snider was born November 13, 1910, a daughter of William Jacob Turner and Minnie Lee Moyer Turner. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and retired as a Nurses Aid with Roper Hospital.
She is survived by one brother Clyde Turner of North Augusta, S.C.
SIMMONS, James
James "Jim" Walker Simons, 38, husband of Amy Waggerman Simmons died June 29, 2002 in Summerville, S.C.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2002, at 11 o'clock. Entombment will be in Summerville cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, S.C. Monday evening from 6-8 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Mr. Simmons was born March 13, 1964 in Summerville, S.C., the son of James W. Simmons and the late Elizabeth Salvo Simmons. He was a lineman for South Carolina Electric & Gas.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Waggerman Simmons; one son, James W. Simmons, Jr.; one daughter, Leah Mae Simmons; his father, James W. Simmons all of Summerville, S.C.; four sisters, Debra Baker of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Julie Cannon of Isle of Palms, S.C., Elizabeth Sullivan of Summerville, S.C. and Lisa Simmons of Orlando, Fla.
