Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 24, 2002, Mozell Browder Osborne, widow of Leon H. Osborne. Residence, Summerville, South Carolina. Mrs.Osborne was born May 7, 1920, in Greelyville, S.C., the daughter of the late Menn and Inez Browder. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are five sons, Cark B. Osborne of Huger, S.C., Leon Osborne, Jr, of Summerville, S.C., Willie J. Osborne and Tony R. Osborne of North Charleston, S.C., and Harry R. Osborne of Hanahan, S.C., one daughter, Brenda D. Lewis of North Charleston, S.C., eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
PARVIN, Wilbur
Rev. Wilbur Rood Parvin, 83, of Summerville, S.C., husband of Mildred Ruth Christie Parvin, died Friday, June 21, 2002 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at the Summerville Presbyterian Church, this Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 2002 at 2 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., North Charleston, S.C. 29406.
Rev. Parvin was born December 21, 1918 in Bradenton, Fla., a son of the late Robert Conwell Parvin and Mrs. Elizabeth Mann Rood Parvin. He was a forest worker for International Paper Company of Georgetown, S.C., until he joined the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Captain and B24 pilot serving in WWII. After returning home, he dedicated his life as a Presbyterian Minister until his retirement. Rev. Parvin was an active community volunteer, dividing his time among Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels Board of Directors, the Ministerial Association of Summerville, S.C. and a Bible Study Leader at the Presbyterian Residential Home.
His survivors include his wife of Summerville, S.C.; 2 daughters, Wilma Leary of Asheville, N.C. and Rebecca Ganjehsani of Fayetteville, N.C.; 3 sons, Charles Parvin of Pineville, La., Benjamin Parvin of Hartsville, S.C. and Clinton Parvin of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Roberta Tucker and brother, Charles Parvin, both of Bradenton, Fla.; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

MARROW, Mary
Charlotte, NC - Mary Nell Hipp Marrow, 73, of Charlotte passed away Monday, June 24, 2002 at Carolinas Medical Center.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 7:00 PM in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service with the Reverend Gerald Ramsey officiating.
Mary was born in Rutherford County, NC, September 7, 1928, daughter of the late Jesse E. and Louise Lowder Hipp. She was a 1947 graduate of Brevard College.
Ms. Marrow was a member of Purcell United Methodist Church and was employed at Stereo Repair Center, and was formerly employed with Jones and Presnell and the Charlotte Observer. Mary was a proud member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Asheville Chapter.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Harvey Hipp, also preceded Mary in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn "Katie" Marrow Macomson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her son, C. Stephen Marrow and wife Cathy of Waxhaw, NC; three brothers- Harold Hipp and wife Loretta of Charlotte, NC, Joe Hipp and wife Lucille of Boone, NC, and Richard Hipp and wife Dot of Loganville, GA; six grandchildren- Thomas, Bryan, and Scott Macomson, and Amanda, Sarah, and Stephanie Marrow. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Clyde Marrow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Lung Association or the charity of the donor's choice.

ROSE, Arthur
Mr. Arthur Frederick Rose, 58, of Durham, N.C., a beloved husband and father, died Saturday evening at Duke University Hospital. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002 at Russell Memorial C.M.E. Church, 703 South Alston Avenue, Durham, N.C. The Rev. Willie B. McLeod is officiating. The Rev. Cathy Jones will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Durham, N.C. Visitation will be form 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on June 27, 2002 at Russell Memorial C.M.E. Church.
Mr. Rose was born in Charleston, S.C., on Sept. 3, 1943. He is the seventh of eight children born to Mr. William Rose, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mabel Simmons Rose. He was educated in the public schools of Charleston, S.C. At an early age he learned the ceramic tile trade from his father and worked many years as a ceramic tile setter. He later became a member of the International Longshoreman Union in Charleston, S.C. and worked as a Longshoreman until moving to Raleigh, N.C. in 1992. He then worked for Ward Tile Company in Raleigh, N.C., until he became disabled in 1996.
In 1971 he married
Rev. Dr. Beverly Gaines Rose. He is the father of three children Arnette Rose, Johnette Rose and Arthur Rose, Jr. He joined Vanderhorst Memorial in 1973 and served as a member of the Trustee Board. Upon moving to Raleigh, N.C. in 1992, he joined Russell Memorial C.M.E. Church, and later served as a Minister's Spouse at Chalk Level C.M.E. Church, where his wife is the pastor. He was affectionately seen as a "happy go lucky fellow" and as an encourager, and always had a smile and a kind word to say to everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Rev. Dr. Beverly Gaines Rose; two daughters, Arnette Rose and Johnette Rose of Charleston, S.C. and one son Arthur Rose, Jr. of San Antonio, Tex.; his father Mr. William Rose, Sr. of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers Robert Rose (Margaret) and Albert Rose (Dorothy) of Charleston, S.C.; three sisters Florence Bennett of Baltimore, Md., Catherine Rush and Wilhelmina Jones (Eddie) of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters-in-law Zelma Gaines Hamm of Durham, N.C. and Wilma Jean Gaines of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother-in-law Thomas Ervin Gaines of Charlotte, N.C.; a father-in-law, Rev. Herbert C. Gaines of Charlotte, N.C. and a host of relatives and friends.
