Jackie entered into eternal rest early Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002 in Brooklyn, New York following a long and courageous battle with illness. The relatives and friends of Ms. Jacqueline Geraldine McCants Isaac, those of her father, Mr. Clarence I. McCants, mother, Mrs. Catherine R. McCants Young, step-father, Mr. James Young, Jr., her daughter, Tonya Nakia Isaac, her son, Jovon Eric Hayes, sisters, Audreyole McCants Parker (Theodore), Angela Young Davis (Nathaniel), Octavia Young, Alexis Young, Andria Young Jernigan, Cynthia McCants Smalls (Eric), brother, Frederick McCants, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special friend, Tina Barnhill of Brooklyn, N.Y. and a host of cousins are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, 1:00 p.m. at New Holmes Street Baptist Church, 7 Killians Street, Charleston, S.C. YAWN, Charles
Charles Cleveland Yawn, Isle of Palms, died Sunday, June 23, 2002 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 2, 1936 in Greenville, S.C., a son of the late Herman H. Yawn and Martha Stowe Yawn. He graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and retired after 29 years with Nalco Chemical Company. He was a former president of the Wild Dunes Community Association and served on the Isle of Palms ARC Board.
Mr. Yawn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jennie H. Yawn, of the Isle of Palms, two sons, Charles Michael Yawn of Gainesville, Ga. and David Glenn Yawn of Concord, N.C., a daughter, Ellen Yawn Christian of St. Simons Island, Ga., two brothers, Herman H. Yawn of Rock Hill, S.C. and Joe F. Yawn of Saluda, S.C., a sister, Catherine Y. Richardson of Austin, Tex. and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, Charleston, S.C. 29406.
MASTERS, Pauline
WARRENVILLE- Angels rejoiced on June 22, 2002 at 11:22 PM when Pauline Adaline Masters, age 90, graduated from earth to eternal life in heaven. She was received by our Lord after an extended illness. She passed away at home with her daughter, her grandchildren, and their families at her side. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Little Swamp United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Marchant officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.
Mrs. Masters was born on January 12, 1912 and was raised in Little Swamp Community. She married
Bruce Masters in 1935 and together they raised their daughter, Viola Masters, in Warrenville, S.C. She retired in 1978 after 35 years as a textile worker. She was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church.
Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Viola Haywood of Warrenville, SC; two grandchildren- Cindy Bhatia of Atlanta, GA and her husband Manoj Bhatia, and Jimmy Haywood, Jr. of Athens, Alabama and his wife Sonia Haywood; five great-grandchildren- Michael Bhatia, Christina Bhatia, Jessica Haywood, Joshua Haywood, and Sean Haywood; and a sister- Ada Beach of Augusta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.

CUSACK, Lovey
GEORGETOWN- Lovey Wright Cusack, 76, widow of Johnny Henry Cusack, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at the St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Sampit Methodist Church cemetery. Directed by ANDREWS CHAPEL, McKENZIE FUNERAL HOME.

Mrs. Cusack was born April 27, 1926, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of John Wright and Bertha West Wright. She was a retired seamstress with Oneita Industries, and attended St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Sunday School Senior Adult Class.
She is predeceased by a brother, Bryant Wright.
Surviving are: two daughters, Kay C. Brandon of Georgetown and Ada Ruth Connelly of Andrews; three brothers, John W. West of Georgetown, Lawrence Wright of Columbia, and Sam Wright of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Rebecca Kay of West Pelzer; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

GASKINS, Pauline
MCCLELLANVILLE - Pauline "Alma" McClellan Gaskins, 67, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at the residence of her daughter in Spartanburg.
Mrs. Gaskins was born in McClellanville on April 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Leonard Chapin McClellan and Carrie Rebecca Gaskins McClellan. She lived all her life in McClellanville. Mrs. Gaskins was the owner-operator of Hathaway's Restaurant in McClellanville until her retirement in July of 2000. She was a member of McClellanville Baptist Church and the widow of McDonald Gaskins.
Surviving are a daughter, Lucy G. Cantrell of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Suzanne Edwards of Spartanburg, Brandy Fulton of Andrews, and Christopher Gaskins of Mt. Pleasant; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, June 26, 2002, in McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael F. Schumpert. Burial will follow in McClellanville Baptist Church Memorial Gardens under the direction of the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

PONTIOUS, Louise
NORTH AUGUSTA - Louise Pontious, 77, a retired school teacher, died Sunday at Medical University of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of the Fred Parker Funeral Home in Walterboro, conducted by Rev. Dr. Eddie West and Rev. Dr. Troy L. Tyson. Interment will be in Live Oak cemetery. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Baptist Church in North Augusta.
Miss Pontious was born July 30, 1924 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Harland Andrew Pontious and Edith Hill Pontious. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church and a graduate of Furman University. She taught at Walterboro High School.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Harlan "Andy" Pontious and Betty Pontious of Walterboro, two nieces, Mary Louise Roberts and Paula Holland both of Walterboro and two nephews, Jimmy Pontious of Walterboro and Billy Pontious of Burlington, Vermont.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.

Mr. Daniels was born May 10, 1935 in Little River, Arkansas a son of Thomas Roy Daniels and Alta Reed Daniels. He attended Wando Woods Baptist Church and retired from the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by a daughter Peggy June Daniels Bradham of Fairdealing, Missouri.
PARVIN, Wilbur
Rev. Wilbur Rood Parvin, 83, of Summerville, S.C., husband of Mildred Ruth Christie Parvin, died Friday, June 21, 2002 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at the Summerville Presbyterian Church, Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2002 at 2 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., North Charleston, S.C. 29406.
Rev. Parvin was born December 21, 1918 in Bradenton, Fla., a son of the late Robert Conwell Parvin and Mrs. Elizabeth Mann Rood Parvin. He was a forest worker for International Paper Company of Georgetown, S.C., until he joined the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Captain and B24 pilot serving in WWII. After returning home, he dedicated his life as a Presbyterian Minister until his retirement. Rev. Parvin was an active community volunteer, dividing his time among Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels Board of Directors, the Ministerial Association of Summerville, S.C. and a Bible Study Leader at the Presbyterian Residential Home.
His survivors include his wife of Summerville, S.C.; 2 daughters, Wilma Leary of Asheville, N.C. and Rebecca Ganjehsani of Fayetteville, N.C.; 3 sons, Charles Parvin of Pineville, La., Benjamin Parvin of Hartsville, S.C. and Clinton Parvin of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Roberta Tucker and brother, Charleston Parvin, both of Bradenton, Fla.; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
