Mr. Fred Johnson age 63, of 1132 Wisteria Dr. Orangeburg, S.C. died June 17, 2002 at his residence following a brief illness. The funeral is 2:00 p.m. June 21, 2002 at Zion United Methodist Church, Cross S.C. The Rev. Wendell Sumter. The place of burial is Casina cemetery, Cross, S.C. SHULER MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME.

Born to Mrs. Mariah Johnson and the late Mr. Edward Johnson in Eutawville, S.C. He grew up in Cross and attended Cross High School at an early age, he joined Zion United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Trustee Board and the Usher Board. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Newtown, Ct. He was a retired employer of Pitney Bowes. Survivors wife Mrs. Mary W. Johnson, of the home, a daughters Ms. Carolyn Johnson (Raymond Osorio Sr.) of Norwalk, Ct. Two sons Mr. Frederick Johnson (Marta Soto) of Norwalk Ct. Mr. Allen Middleton of New Jersey. HUGHES, Hamilton
Hamilton Boykin Hughes 86, of North Charleston, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 21, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Hollywood, S.C.
Born October 17, 1915, in Charleston, S.C. He was the son of the late William A. Hughes and Elizabeth Boykin Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a retired Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Meeting Street of Charleston. Survivors include; his wife, Ethel J. Hughes, son; Hamilton Boykin Hughes, Jr. of Charleston and close personal friend, Meree Cochran, of North Charleston.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2002, at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 RIVERS AVENUE, NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. Arrangements are being handled by Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. George Laurence Egloff, Sr., of Rockwell, N.C. and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. died Monday, June 17, 2002 at VA Medical Center- Asheville, N.C. Born August 2, 1931 in Shreveport, LA. Parents are the late Mildred Alice Cunptom and father Robert Wood Egloff. Mr. Egloff went to school in Shreveport, LA. Retired from the Sheltered Workshop for the Disabled in Binghamton, NY as a Supervisor. He was a Veteran having served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He attended the church of The Methodist Faith and he was a former Commander of VFW Post# 10624, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Three sons; George Laurence Egloff Jr., of Rockwell, N.C., Philip Barr Egloff, of Charleston, S.C., Brian Pitts, of Rockwell, N.C. One daughter; Brenda Pitts, of New Milford, PA. Julia Estelle Walker, 86, of Jonesboro, Ga., formerly of North Charleston, S.C. died on June 17, 2002.

Ms. Walker was a widower. Survivors include son, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Deborah) Bradwell of Newnan, Ga.; granddaughter, Sandi Berrie of St. Simons Island, Ga. grandsons, Herman, Kevin, and Ken Bradwell all of Charleston, S.C.; five great-grandchildren.

ECKERT, Clifford
Clifford Herman Eckert, 80, of Goose Creek, S.C., died Monday, June 17, 2002 at a local hospital in Summerville, S.C. Born October 5, 1921, in Roscoe, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Herman and Lucy B. Eckert. He was a retired Chief Master Sargent with the United States Air Force and owner of Eckert Insurance Agency in Goose Creek, S.C. He was very active with the American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek, a 32nd Degree Mason, a lifetime member of Eastern Star and an avid golfer. He is predeceased by a daughter, Lucy Eckert Rotge. Survivors include his wife, Edith Ferne Leinweber Eckert of Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters: Nancy E. Hellstrom, of Goose Creek, S.C.; Katherine Ann Rotge Eckert, College Station TX; a brother: James Eckert, Huntsville, AL; a sister: Amelia Vaughn, Mobile, AL; and a granddaughter: Dana Leigh Hellstrom, Vail, CO. BRINSON, William
William Aiken Brinson, 76, of Magnolia St., Bonneau, S.C. a retired carpenter and overseer for W.H. Thornley, died Tuesday at his residence.

Mr. Brinson was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Bonneau, S.C., a son of Rennie Brinson and Annie Causey Brinson.
Surviving are, five sisters, Betty Yount of Bonneau Beach, Eunice Jackson and Mary Ayers both of Moncks Corner, and Evelyn Paige and Carolyn D. Wadford both of Bonneau; and two brothers, Rennie Lee Brinson and Charlie E. Dennis both of Bonneau.
DRIGGERS, Shawn
Shawn Clinton Driggers, 30, of Summerville, S.C., owner of Driggers Roofing, died Sunday in Columbia.
The funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2002, at the Graveside in the Alexander cemetery. Burial, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, will follow.
Mr. Driggers was born Dec. 31, 1971, in Charleston, S.C. a son of John Clinton Driggers and Kathleen Elizabeth Odom Driggers. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and he attended Stratford High School.
Surviving are, his mother of Gaffney; a sister, Rosanna D. "Prissy" Langley of Shelby, NC; and a brother, Cliff Driggers of Ladson.
