KENNER, Hilda
Hilda Mary Kenner died in Charleston, South Carolina on June 18, 2002 after a brief illness. She was born in St. Petersburg Florida on August 21, 1940. She grew up in Alaska, Washington, DC and Edisto Island, South Carolina. She retired in 1995 from the Central Intelligence Agency and moved to Charleston, S.C. at that time. Miss Kenner graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro in 1963. She is predeceased by her father and mother: Admiral and Mrs. William Wilson Cannon Kenner, USCG and her stepmother, Helen Cannon Kenner.
She is survived by a brother, William Kenner of California, a great-nephew Benjamin William Kenner of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She is also survived by several cousins: Craig Hudnall of Alexandria, VA Leith Moss of Richmond, VA and Barrie C. Ross of James Island, S.C.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 21, 2002 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Edisto Island, S.C. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Huguenot Society of South Carolina, 138 Logan St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.

BRYANT, Ventry
Dea. Ventry (Wink) Bryant 78, of St. George S.C. died Tuesday in Trident Medical Center Hospital. The funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in Harvey Chapel Baptist Church. Burial directed by BROWN & SON FUNERAL HOME, will be in Harvey Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born in Dorchester County a son of the late Joe and Lizzie. Brothers Bryant. He was a member of Harvey Chapel Baptist Church and was married
to the late Pertha Lee Britt Bryant.
Surviving are his grandson Darrell (Mary) Heywood St. George S.C. Two great-granddaughters Asia and Sade Heywood, St. George, S.C.
ANDERSON, Nonia
Mrs. Nonia McFadden Anderson, 82, died Saturday June 15 in Charleston, S.C. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday in St. Daniel by BROWN & SON FUNERAL HOME, will be in Dorchester cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Harleyville, S.C. a daughter of the late George and Christina McFadden. She was a member of St. Daniel U. M. Church.
Surviving are a daughter Mattie A. Sweat (David) of York, Pa. one brother Mr. Rufus McFadden (Beactrice) one sister Mrs. Alma Simmons all of Dorchester, S.C. Three grandchildren Robin Sweat, Miss Kim Sweat all of York, Pa. Mr. Etholia A Sweat, of Charleston, S.C. Three great-grands.
Otis was not reluctant to state his opinion. The late Bob Quincy, Sports Editor for the Charlotte News referred to him as a before, after and during dinner speaker. He strongly believed in helping those who cannot help themselves. He will be greatly missed as a source of information on sports and politics and frequently stated his opinion in the Charlotte Observer's "Letters to the Editor".
He is a member of Blair Road United Methodist Church, the Navaho Club and Pine Lake Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; daughters, Joy Skipper Cornwell and husband, Bill, of Charleston, S.C., and Joan Skipper Jones of Morehead City, NC; grandsons, David Sanford Jones and his wife, Ashley, of Morehead City and Matthew Christian Jones and his wife, Kelly, of Fruitland, MD; granddaughter, Rhett Rich and her husband, Michael, of Orlando, FL; and great-grandchildren, Will Rich and Maggie Rich, both of Orlando. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Deborah Lutz and her husband, Eddie, of Charlotte and step-grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan Lutz. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Gaddy Rea.
Services were held 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, in the WILSON CHAPEL OF HANKINS & WHITTINGTON FUNERAL SERVICE IN CHARLOTTE with. Interment followed in Forest Lawn West cemetery.

BOYCE, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Kirkley Boyce, 88, of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at a local hospital. Born in Smithville, SC to the late Charles L. and Elizabeth Leland Kirkley. She was a graduate of Georgetown High School and was married
to the late W.G. Boyce, Sr. Mrs. Boyce was a founding member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church where she was part of various groups within the church. Surviving her is her son, W.G. Boyce, Jr. of Charleston, daughter and son-in-law, Janet B. and Jerry C. Whitley of Columbia, and three grandchildren, Michael G. Boyce, Jennifer N. Whitley, and Jeremy C. Whitley. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 20th in McClellanville cemetery, McClellanville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to ones favorite charity. Mr. David Ned Halsey, 54, of 2960 Cane Slash Road, died Tuesday at a local hospital. No funeral services will be held according to BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME of Walterboro.
Mr. Halsey was born in Okron, Ohio, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ned Halsey. He was an Auto Mechanic and Wrecker Driver and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Cassandra Dempsey Halsey of Johns Island, two stepsons, Kenneth Russell and Kevin Russell, both of Johns Island, a sister, Toby A. Reese of Valley City, Ohio, and a brother, Bobby Halsey of Ohio.

Julius Muckelvaney, 78, of Summerville, SC, husband of Florence Infinger Muckelvaney, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at a local hospital.

Mr. Muckelvaney was born October 22, 1922 in Colleton County, a son of the late Early Muckelvaney and Mary Tracey Muckelvaney. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Infinger Muckelvaney, three daughters, Diann Crosby, Karen Denise Coomes, April Darlene Muckelvaney, one son, Cletis Scott Muckelvaney, three sisters, Maralee Creel, Betty Creel all of Summerville, SC, Geraldine Muckelvaney of Ridgeville, SC, one brother, Bill Muckelvaney of Holly Hill, SC, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

McNAIR, Anissa
FLORENCE, S.C. - Mrs. Anissa Swintz McNair, 32, of Florence, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at the residence of her mother in Gresham, S.C. after an illness.
Mrs. McNair was born in Marion County, the daughter of Betty Stephens Swintz and the late James D. Swintz of Gresham. She was a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at the American Red Cross-Blood Services of Florence and was a member of Johnsonville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William P. McNair of Florence, her mother, Betty S. Swintz of Gresham, sister, Stephanie (Kevin) Gatton of Mt. Pleasant, paternal grandmother, Ruth G. Swintz of Gresham, nephew and niece, Conor and Kellen Gatton, both of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Friday at the Johnsonville First Baptist Church in Johnsonville. Burial will follow at Soules Chapel cemetery in Gresham.
