Vickie Karen Lewis Kitchener, 63, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at a local hospital. She was born in Horry County to Clyde and Inez Boyette Lewis. She was a graduate of Floyd's High School in Horry County. She had worked previously in the hospitality industry for many years in the Charleston area. She will be sadly missed by her family, including her husband, William "Bill" L. Kitchener, Jr.; son, William "Sport" L. Kitchener, IV (Alicia) of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Torrey K. Massey (Norman) of Savannah, GA; brother, Clyde Woodrow Lewis (Rita) of Green Sea, SC; sister, Theresa L. Mitchell (John) of Plano, TX; and four grandchildren: William L. DUPREE, Allen
CROSS - Allen C. DuPree, 46, of 140 Ramblin Lane, Cross, died Saturday in a Moncks Corner hospital.
The funeral will be 4 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Eutawville with the Rev. John Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard.
Mr. DuPree was born in Moncks Corner a son of Lewis S. DuPree and Aileen Fort Cannon. He was a graduate of Berkeley High School and was a retired surveyor for Berkeley County. He attended the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
Survivors are his wife, Martha Couturier DuPree of the home; daughter, Rebecca Couturier DuPree of the home; son, Elias Couturier DuPree of the home; father of Moncks Corner; mother of Goose Creek; step-mother, Betty DuPree of Moncks Corner; step-father, M. C. Cannon of Goose Creek; four brothers, Harry S. and James DuPree, both of Moncks Corner, Lewis F. DuPree of Macedonia, and Louis S. DuPree, Jr. of Cary, NC; sister, Teresa Cannon of Goose Creek; and a step-sister, Deborah Clark of Columbia.

Virginia Connelly Brant, 92, of Summerville, widow of Earl Brant died Saturday morning at her residence.

Surviving are her sons, Earl "Dilly" Brant of North Charleston, Thomas "Buddy" Brant, Lanier Brant and Connelly Brant all of Moncks Corner and Freeman Brant of Walterboro; daughters, Peggy Russ of Summerville, Nola Bash of Zanesville, Ohio, Doris Gladden of Moncks Corner, Hazel Lee of North Charleston, Truma Polin of Chapin and Linda Brant of Hanahan; a niece, Rebecca Honeywell of Fayetteville, N.C. She was predeceased by three children, Bobby Brant, Vermelle Brown, and Furman Brant. 42 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Survivors include one daughter, Debra Joseph and husband Jerome of Charleston, S.C.; one grandson, John R. Shortt, III of Philadelphia, Pa.; one great-grandson, John R. Shortt, IV of Philadelphia, Pa.; two nephews, Fred Mitchell of Charleston, S.C. and Ronald Campbell of Okatie, S.C.; one niece, Cassandra Campbell of Okatie, S.C. and she leaves behind beloved family and friends.
