TODD, Zula
Mrs. Zula Russell Todd, 86, of North Charleston, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2002 in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late Roderick Kirby Russell and Mathew Jacquiline Venning, born in Russellville, SC on February 22, 1916.
She was retired from Edwards Dept. Store, and a member of the Baptist faith. She was precede in death by her husband, John G. Todd, Sr., and her son, John G. Todd, Jr.
Survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Barbara B. Todd of Goose Creek; 4 grandchildren: Russell Glenn Carriagg of Grand Caymen Island, Kirsty Kay Todd of Ladson, John G. Todd, III of Goose Creek, and Julie A. Townsend of Summerville; 4 great-grandchildren: Joshua Paul Todd of Ladson, John G. Todd and Cory J. Todd of Goose Creek, and JoAnna J. Townsend of Summerville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Monday, June 17, 2002 at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston.
COOPER, Flora
Flora Ilene Anderson Cooper, 85, of Summerville, widow of Clifford Jennings Cooper, died Wednesday morning at her residence.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 17, 2002 at 10 o'clock in Beaufort National cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
Mrs. Cooper was born September 15, 1916, in Chandler, Texas, a daughter of George Pat Anderson and Myrtle Flemings Anderson. She was a graduate of Brownsboro High School in Brownsboro, Texas. She was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II. She retired as a file clerk with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. She was Protestant.
Surviving are: a granddaughter, Stephanie Ranee Horton, and her husband Steve Hornton, of Summerville; a grandson, Johnny Engwall of Manistee, Michigan; a great-grandson, Jacob Horton of Summerville; a brother, Earl C. Anderson of Brownsboro, Texas; 2 nieces, Frances Ridgley of San Antonio, Texas, and Martha Bloss, and her husband Bill, of Charleston; a great nephew, Paul Bloss of Charleston. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jackie Lynn Engwall.

BOWICK, Lyne
Lyne-Noelle de Leeuw Bowick, 42, of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, following an illness. Mrs. Bowick was born September 5, 1959 in Montreal Canada. She was the co-owner and founder of Trade Desk America, a financial services company. Mrs. Bowick's career was distinguished by being the first female foreign member of the New York Stock Exchange. She also worked as a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She also worked for seven years as an advertising executive. She was a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
She is survived by her parents, Daniel A. and Huguette Crevier deLeeuw of Montreal, Canada; her husband, Mark Bowick of Charleston; a son, Alexandre M. Bowick of Charleston; a brother, Francis deLeeuw (Lise), two nephews, Gabriel and Bastien, and one niece, Danika of Montreal. Friends and family members are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, June 16, 2002 from 2:00PM until 7:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bowick will be held Monday, June 17, 2002 at 10:00AM at the chapel of McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 150 Wentworth St. Committal services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
PETTISS, Joyce
GEORGETOWN- Joyce Morgan Pettiss, 82, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Pettiss was born in Bastrop, LA on March 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Ira Davis Morgan and Hattie Palestine Naff Morgan. She and her husband moved from South Huntington, NY to live on the Black River in Georgetown County over twenty years ago.
Surviving are: her husband, Edmund Bines Pettiss of Georgetown; three sons, Jack Pettiss of Parkersburg, W. VA, Ed Pettiss of Malvern, PA, and Jerry Pettiss of Vicksburg, MI; a daughter, Lindalee Kaminski of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Doug Morgan of Merritt Island, FL; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at eleven o'clock Monday morning, June 17, 2002, at the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL of MAYER FUNERAL HOME. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. J. Ben Sloan.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the church or a charity of one's choice.

Vickie Karen Lewis Kitchener, 63, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at a local hospital. She was born in Horry County to Clyde and Inez Boyette Lewis. She was a graduate of Floyd's High School in Horry County. She had worked previously in the hospitality industry for many years in the Charleston area. She will be sadly missed by her family, including her husband, William "Bill" L. Kitchener, Jr.; son, William "Sport" L. Kitchener, IV (Alicia) of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Torrey K. Massey (Norman) of Savannah, GA; brother, Clyde Woodrow Lewis (Rita) of Green Sea, SC; sister, Theresa L. Mitchell (John) of Plano, TX; and four grandchildren: William L. Massey, Stephen Tyler Massey, Lauren Elizabeth Kitchener, and William Christopher Kitchener. Visitation will be Sunday 5 PM until 7 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT.
