CADDELL, Julia
Julia Litchfield Caddell, 87, of Jim Caddell Dr., Macedonia, SC, died Wednesday at her residence.
The funeral will beheld at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2002, in the Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church, Macedonia. Interment will be in the church cemetery.; Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2002.
Mrs. Caddell was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Macedonia, SC, a daughter of John Litchfield and Susie Dupree Litchfield. She was a member of Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church. She is the widow of Van "Buddy" Caddell, and she was preceded in death by a son, Dewey T. Caddell.
Surviving are: five daughters- Rebecca Caddell, Helen C. Crawford, Julie G. Howard, and Sue Powers, all of Macedonia, and Jane Logan of Summerville; three sons- Bobby G. Caddell, Jackie E. Caddell, and Leonard Caddell, all of Macedonia; three brothers- Leroy Litchfield and Warnie Litchfield, both of Macedonia, and Levance Litchfield of Moncks Corner; and twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
KOGER, Rebecca
ROUND O- Rebecca Adams Koger, 99, widow of W. O. "Willie" Koger, died Thursday at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital in Newberry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the chapel of the Fred Parker Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Lawrence Peebles. Interment will be in Live Oak cemetery.
Mrs. Koger was born April 3, 1903 in Colleton County, a daughter of the late John Godfrey Adams and Carries Thomas Adams. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #147, and the Round O Home Demonstration Club.
Surviving are: a son, Randolph Koger of Round O; a daughter, Mildred K. Holiday of Newberry; three grandchildren: William, John and Michael Koger; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 403 Church St., Walterboro, SC 29488.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
WARD, James
James Irving "Bubba" Ward, Jr., 71, of Hanahan, died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at a local hospital. He was born on October 18, 1930 in Charleston. The son of James I. Ward, Sr. and Margaret Boone Ward. He attended Bishop England High School, graduated from Charleston High and attended Brown University in Rhode Island. He was a Navy Veteran and a retired electrician from the U.S. Naval Weapons Station in Goose Creek, SC. He was a member of the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and a member of the Church Men's Association in Hanahan, SC. He was also a member of the Elks Club. He is preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary W. Sullivan. Survivors include his wife Theresa A. Ward of Hanahan, SC; two sons: James I. Ward, III of Hanahan, SC and Mark Ward of Peachtree City, GA; a daughter: Cheryl D. Dunn of Sullivan's Island, SC; and nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2002 at 9 AM at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. HAMPTON - Mr. Frankie Samuel Koon, 57, of 900 Poplar Street West in Hampton, died Wednesday afternoon at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Koon was born in Hampton County September 22, 1944 a son of San J. Koon and Marylin Stanley Koon. He was a retired treater operator at International Paper, and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Surviving, besides his parents of Beaufort are: one son, Travis Koon of Ruffin, one daughter, Franka Koon, of Ruffin, one brother, Ronnie K. Koon, of Varnville, one sister, Sheryl Connelly, of Beaufort.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton, with burial following in the Sandy Run cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME of Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
