A gracious lady of the old school, Barbara was a person of charm, refined taste and extraordinary kindness. She was a lover of beauty, especially of fine music, who brought beauty into the lives of many.
Barbara was a delightful and delighted talker. She leaves us with the memory of so many rich conversations, punctuated by her lovely smile, her merry laugh and the twinkle in her eye. We can still hear the echoes of her gentle voice. That memory will always be with us.

Born January 12, 1948 in Charleston, SC, Mrs. Livingston was the daughter of John Paul Carson and Vera Elsie Judy Carson. She was a homemaker.
Surviving Mrs. Livingston are her mother, Vera J. Carson of N. Charleston; her husband, Albert D. Livingston of N. Charleston; two daughters, Angela Elizabeth Knapp of N. Charleston and Della Marie McLeod of Green Sea, SC; a son, Troy Leslie Knapp of N. Charleston; three grandsons, John Paul Knapp, Jonathon Dale Knapp and Dakota Allen Knapp; four sisters, Pat Reville of Biloxi, Mississippi, Mary Price of Walhalla, SC, Annie Minnick and Debra Mathis, both of North Charleston; and a brother, John Paul Carson, Jr. of N. Charleston. Mrs. Livingston was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Joshua Thomas Knapp.
KABASE, Murray
CLINTON, TENN.: Sergeant Major Murray "Ace" Kabase, age 77, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2002 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a loving father and husband who always thought of others before himself. He entered the Marine Corps at the age of 16 and served his country for 30 years with distinction in World War II, Korea and Vietnam to include 5 months combat at Guadal Canal. The Sergeant Major ended active service in 1970 with numerous decorations and awards. His love of country and Marine Corps was exceptional. He was a member of VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge No. 1684 in Oak Ridge and a charter member of the Tennessee Chapter of the 1st Marine Division Association. He was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Born July 18, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama. preceded in death by parents, Stephen and Nezira Azbik Kabase; sister, Helen Thrasher; grandson, Lawrence Benson Hall, Jr. Survivors: wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Thrasher Kabase of Clinton; daughter, Clara Hall and husband, LCOL Buck Hall of Clinton; grandchildren, Matt Hall of Baltimore, Maryland, Sarah Johansen and husband, Chris of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Gatha Brand and husband, Newell of Rockledge, Florida, Lovie Salvagio of Birmingham, Alabama, and Vicki Starr of Savannah, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am today, Friday, June 14, 2002 at St. Therese Catholic Church with Father Gerard Finucane presiding. Interment will follow the Mass at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors being conducted at graveside by the United States Marine Corps. WAYNE, MAINE - Debra T. Wittschen Hollis, died Friday, June 7, 2002 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near her home.
Debra was born in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Raymond and Phyllis H. Wittschen, Jr. of Florence, S.C. and John and Jean Zidek of Cape May Courthouse, N.J.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 10, 2002 in Auburn, Maine.
EISERHARDT, Beryl
Beryl H. Eiserhardt, 79, of James Island, died Monday, June 10th at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to the late Martin V. and Octavie Soubeyroux Hunt. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Eiserhardt. Mrs. Eiserhardt retired from James Oldsmobile and the retired from Big "O" Chevrolet. She was a member of the Quis Qui Ladies Auxiliary, and the Low Country Senior Coalition. She is survived by her two daughters, Janyce E. Stone (Jack L. Bitters) of Charleston, and Faye H. Eiserhardt of Charleston; two brothers, Robert W. Hunt and his wife Barbara of Charleston, and Gregory K. Hunt of Charleston; sister, Ann H. Dritt and husband James of Tallahassee, FL. Many nieces and nephews survive Mrs. Eiserhardt. The family will receive friends 4-6PM Thursday, June 13th at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Funeral Services will follow in the Chapel at 6:30 PM. Jon was born on June 17, 1981 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of James Gilbert Maples and Lynne Jones Maples Hennon. Jon was a 2000 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School and worked for Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner.
Jon is survived by his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hennon of North Charleston, S.C.; his father, James Gilbert Maples of Gulf Port, Miss.; a sister, Patricia Maples of Hanahan, S.C.; two step-sisters, Alicia Brooke Hennon of Blackville, S.C. and Heather Ann Hennon of Vincennes, Ind.; a step-brother, John Robert Hennon of North Charleston, S.C.; maternal grandfather, William John Jones of England; maternal aunt and uncle, Karen and Gareth Naylor of England; and loving girlfriend, Jessica West.
