EISERHARDT, Beryl
Beryl H. Eiserhardt, 79, of James Island, died Monday, June 10th at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to the late Martin V. and Octavie Soubeyroux Hunt. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Eiserhardt. Mrs. Eiserhardt retired from James Oldsmobile and the retired from Big "O" Chevrolet. She was a member of the Quis Qui Ladies Auxiliary, and the Low Country Senior Coalition. She is survived by her two daughters, Janyce E. Stone (Jack L. Bitters) of Charleston, and Faye H. Eiserhardt of Charleston; two brothers, Robert W. Hunt and his wife Barbara of Charleston, and Gregory K. Hunt of Charleston; sister, Ann H. Dritt and husband James of Tallahassee, FL. Many nieces and nephews survive Mrs. Eiserhardt. The family will receive friends 4-6PM Thursday, June 13th at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Funeral Services will follow in the Chapel at 6:30 PM. RABON-MARTIN, Mattie
AYNOR - Mattie "Polly" Rabon Martin, age 83, wife of the late Mose Rabon and the late Oscar Martin died Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Conway Hospital.
Mrs. Martin was born in the Pleasant Union Community, a daughter of the late William and Rose Carroll. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and was a homemaker, seamstress, friend and mother to many. Mrs. Martin was a loving and giving person who enjoyed nothing more than cooking and caring for others. She was predeceased by a grandson, Rodney Allsbrook; step-son, Eugene Martin, step-grandson Terry Martin; three brothers, Jesse, Dock and Arthur Carroll and seven sisters, Ruth Parker, Bessie Jones, Maggie Rabon, Maude Long, Bell Altman, Mary Carroll and Minnie West.
Surviving are five sons, Billy Rabon and his wife Aline of Charleston, Kenneth Rabon and his wife Reba of Conway, Grady Rabon and his wife Margaret, Earl Rabon and his wife Lila all of Aynor and Charlie "Ronald" Rabon and his wife Linda of Lexington; two daughters, Betty Rose Hardwick and her husband James and Mary Ellen Allsbrook and her husband Ragsdale all of Aynor; step-son, Nathan "Junior" Martin and his wife Edna Bell of Aynor; three sisters, Martha Rabon, Hattie Rabon, and Edna King; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook and Rev. Dock Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, CONWAY CHAPEL.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born April 17, 1926 in Kinston, N.C. Mr. Cumbo was the son of Lewis Henry and Prudie Chase Cumbo. He was a retired Petty Officer, U.S. Navy and served in WWII. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Branch, #50, the V.F.W. #5091 (McKee Post) and he was a Baptist.
Surviving Mr. Cumbo are his daughter, Deborah K. Goldman and his son, Gary W. Woodard, both of North Charleston; two brothers, Marion D. Cumbo of New Bern, N.C. and Enoch Marvin Cumbo of Norfolk, Va. and several nieces and nephews.

Lori "Mama Ace" Dick, 66, of Moncks Corner, S.C., a homemaker and wife of Joseph B. Dick, died Monday at her residence.

Mrs. Dick was born November 16, 1935, in Marvin, Ga., a daughter of Henry Webster Shriver and Violet Juanita Phillips Shriver. She was a member of the Berkeley Shrine Club and the VFW Post #9509 Ladies Auxiliary. A daughter, Beverly Carter, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Bridget West of Gates, N.C. and Sandi Balmonte of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one son, Bobby Johnson of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one sister, Ruth Hutchins of Ga.; one brother, Wallace Shiver of Ga.; and a special nephew, Russell Johnson of Ga.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

WALTERBORO - Mrs. Novis Ulmer Breland, 88, widow of Robbie B. Breland, died Monday at Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Black Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Kevin Hinton. Interment will be in the church cemetery, directed by the Fred Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Breland was born Mar. 28, 1914 in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Bazil G. Ulmer and Mattie Carter Ulmer. She was an active member of Black Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Michael Breland of Walterboro, two daughters, Joyce Stynchomb and Ann Syfrett both of Walterboro, a brother, Kenneth Ulmer of Ruffin, five sisters, Virginia Benton, Betty Jean Donnelly, Ola Breland and Hazel Hill, all of Ruffin and Lunita Carter of Lodge, five grandchildren, David Breland, Daniel Breland, Susan Seigler, Stephen Stynchomb and Jimmy Syfrett, four great-grandchildren also survive.
