CLARK, Dorothy
Dorothy E. Clark, 85, widow of Samuel A. Clark, of the Presbyterian Home of Summerville, S.C., died Monday, June 10, 2002 at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at the Presbyterian Home Chapel, Tuesday afternoon, June 11, 2002 at 4 o'clock. Burial will be held at a later date in Rimersburg, Pa.

Mrs. Clark was born on November 11, 1916 in Rimersburg, Pa.; a daughter of Chester R. Yates and Anna Walters Yates. She was a retired LPN and homemaker. She was a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her son, Samuel V. Clark, and his wife, Winnie Clark; his grandson, Larry V. Clark, and his wife, Sandy; great-grandson, Adam Clark and great-granddaughter, Kate Clark, all of Concord, N.C.

MULLALLY, Pauline
Pauline Slay Mulherin Mullally, president of Peoples Building Company, died Sunday, June 9, 2002. She was born in Graham, Texas October 3, 1918, the daughter of William Mark and Agnes Barron Slay. Mrs. Mullally was the widow of the late Dr. Charles McLaughlin Mulherin, Sr. of Augusta, Georgia and the late Charles Lowndes Mullally of Charleston.
Mrs. Mullally lived in Augusta, Ga. from 1938 to 1968 and was a summer resident of the Isle of Palms, S.C. from 1940 tro 1968. In Augusta she served as a volunteer on many civic projects. Among them were the Board of the Wilhenford Women's and Children's Hospital, which was founded by her late father-in-law, Dr. W.A. Mulherin, the board of the Augusta Junior League from 1953 to 1960, Vice-Chairman of the Juvenile Court Community Board and a member of Senator Keafauver's Committee on the "Baby Selling Racket", Board of Directors of St. Mary's-on-the-Hill Church Auxiliary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Augusta Civic Ballet and the Augusta Symphony Guild.
In 1964, following the death of Dr. Mulherin, Mrs. Mullally established a women's fashion center in Augusta known as Champagne Fashions, Punch Mulherin, Inc. She served as president of the company and was cited in WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY for her accomplishments in the clothing business.
She was listed in MARQUIS' WHO'S WHO OF AMERICAN WOMEN and later, listed in WHO'S WHO OF BUSINESS AND FINANCE.
She married
Mr. Mullally in 1968, at which time she sold her fashion business and moved to Charleston where she again became involved in civic affairs. She served as a volunteer and on the Board of Directors of the Women's Council of the Gibbes Art Museum, the Junior League of Charleston, the Lion's Auxiliary, and Friends of Olde Charlestowne, and for many years Mrs. Mullally has been involved in the activities of her church, the Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, both on a local and diocesan level. In 1981, she founded the first Theresians of the U.S. organization in the Diocese of Charleston. She served on the Theresian National Executive Board of Directors and on the Theresian World Ministry Board of Directors. On April 11, 1999, Pope John Paul II conferred upon her the Papal Honor of "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice", which means "for the Church and the Pontiff".
Mrs. Mullally was the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Peoples Building Company, and at the death of her husband in 1984, she became President of the Board and operated and managed the Peoples Office Building at 18 Broad Street until April 5, 1999 when it was sold. Until her death she remained active in the Peoples Building Company, Inc.
She was a member of the S.C. Historical Society, the Carolina Museum of Art Association, the Dock Street Theater, the Charleston Opera Company, the Charleston Museum, the S.C. Preservation Society, the Charleston Concert Association, the Historic Charleston Preservation Society, the Smithsonian, the Williamsburg Foundation, S.C. Nature Conservancy, a Sustaining member of the S.C. Aquarium and co-chair of the 2000 Charleston Catholic School Campaign Committee.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles M. Mulherin, Jr. and is survived by two daughters, Virginia Mulherin Barron of St. Matthews, S.C., Julia Mulherin Brown of Augusta, Ga., and one son, Donald S. Mulherin of Columbia, S.C., 11 grandchildren, William T. Barron, III, Mark S. Barron, Christine B. Seixas, Donald S. Mulherin, Jr., Laurin M. Shealy, Michele S. Mulherin, Melissa M. Brown, Christopher D. Brown, Louis Wilds, Charles M. Wilds and Ashley Wilds and six great-grandchildren.
The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad St. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Philip's Episcopal Churchyard. Friends may call at the JAMES A. MCALISTER FUNERAL HOME, 1620 SAVANNAH HWY., this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:15 p.m.

ORANGEBURG - Mrs. Sadie Warren Brant, 83, died Monday.

BELLAMY, George
George Justin Bellamy, 16, of Orangeburg, died Sunday evening.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at 4 o'clock in JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, SUMMERVILLE. Burial will be in Summerville cemetery.
Justin was born on November 8, 1985 in Charleston, a son of George Bellamy, Jr. and Renee Marie Trommetter Bellamy. He had just completed his sophomore year at Edisto High School and worked at Sonic Drive-in of Orangeburg. Justin was a member of the American Hunting Association and he enjoyed baseball and fishing. He attended Givhans Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his parents of Orangeburg; sister- Jessica Renee Bellamy of Orangeburg; paternal grandparents- George and Aleatha Bellamy, Sr. of Cottageville; paternal great-grandmother- Ethel Night of North Charleston; maternal grandparents- Walter and Martha Trommetter of Charleston; 6 uncles; 7 aunts; and 17 cousins.

Mrs. Holbrooks was born on October 6, 1923 in Haverhill, Massuchusetts, a daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Phyllis Conley Bullock. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir and was a soloist. Mrs. Holbrook was a volunteer for many organizations in the Charleston area and also served in World War II in the United States Navy.
She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia H. Witt of Ladson, SC; one son, Jeffrey M. Holbrooks of Summerville, SC; one brother, Charles E. Bullock, III of Wolfboro, NH; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

LAKE, Patricia
WALTERBORO - Patricia Padgett Lake, 73, a retired volunteer at the Colleton Medical Center, died Sunday at the Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the graveside in Live Oak cemetery, conducted by Rev. Steve Brown and directed by the Fred Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lake was born July 7, 1928 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Joel Joshua Padgett and Lillian Price Padgett. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and worked in the nursery at the church for many years.
Surviving are: a son, Christopher Lake of Walterboro; two daughters, Terry Lake Christen of Midland, Michigan and Deborah Lake of Walterboro; a brother, Joel P. Padgett of Columbia; a sister, Joanne P. Mathis of Walterboro; and four grandchildren.

McCULLOCH, Samuel
WALTERBORO - Mr. Samuel E. McCulloch, 88, of 217 Dowling Avenue, died Sunday at Trident Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Grace Advent Christian Church cemetery with Rev. Wayne Lucas officiating and directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. McCulloch was born in Ironton, Ohio, a son of the late William Henry McCulloch and Anna Auxier McCulloch. He served as President of the Association of Credit Bureaus in West Virginia, and in 1978 moved to Walterboro after retiring as Executive Vice President of the Retail Merchants Association in Danville, Virginia. He served in the U.S. Calvary prior to World War II and was also a member of the CCCs. He served in the Navy on the USS Bataan during World War II. He attended Bowling Green university and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Grace Advent Christian Church in Walterboro and was the husband of the late Elizabeth Jarrett McCulloch.
Surviving are two daughters- Betty M. Rover of Jacksonville, Florida and Kathy M. Duncan of Walterboro, and two grandchildren- Heath E. Duncan of Bluffton and Phillip M. Duncan of Walterboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.
