MIMS, Catherine
Catherine Roberta (Bertie) Sweatman Mims, 94, of Moncks Corner, died Sunday at a Moncks Corner nursing home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Burial will be in St. John's Baptist Church cemetery, Pinopolis.
Mrs. Mims was born August 21, 1907 in the Longridge Community of Berkeley County. She was a member of Wassamassaw Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joseph Clarence Mims.
Surviving are four sons, Watson J. Mims (Patsy) of Oakley, Harry Sinclair Mims (Judy) of James Island, George R. Mims (Linda) of Moncks Corner, Donald E. Mims (Carolyn) of Surfside Beach; three daughters, Mary M. Hill and Roberta M. McNeill (Charles) of Moncks Corner, Margaret M. Fletcher (Billy) of Pinopolis; daughter-in-law, Jackie C. Mims of Ladson; sister, Grace S. Wall (Billy) of Moncks Corner; brother, Clyde A. Sweatman (Bea) of Pinopolis; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
