Entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, June 9, 2002, Thelma McDaniel Horne, 80, retired school teacher and wife of Alfred C. Horne of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. Horne are invited to attend the funeral service of the latter, Monday afternoon in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 4:00 o'clock. Mrs. Horne was born in Laurens, S.C., a daughter of Wellie G. and Sally Maddox McDaniel. She received her B.A. in Early Childhood Elementary Education from Limestone College and was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church. She was past member and Board of Directors for Order of Rainbow for Girls and a member of Alhambra Chapter #60, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., three daughters, Lynn Thornton of Athens, Ga., Patsy Dunn of Charleston, S.C., and Debra Darazs of Chapin, S.C., 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Zelma Senn and numerous nieces and nephews.

73 passed away May, 2002 in Dade County, Florida. He is survived by his wife; Joy Ricks of Zephyrhills, FL, a son; George Thayer Ricks, Jr of Hollywood, SC, a daughter and son-in-law; Agatha Glover Ricks and Craig J. Mathis, Sr. of Charleston, SC, grandson; Craig J. Mathis Jr. (Joey) of Charleston, SC, three brothers; Edward M. Ricks of Land O'Lakes, FL, Handley W. Ricks, Glendolden, PA, and Thomas C. Ricks, of Fall Church, VA, a sister, Margaret Long of Charlotte, NC.
He was a member of Solomon's Masonic Lodge #1 and a Korean War Navy Veteran. He also was a longtime employee of the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
