Yvonne O. Spring, 69, of Charleston, died Thursday, September 12, at a local hospital. WALLACE, Susan
Susan Linda Fisher Wallace, 53, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at her residence. The relatives and friends of Susan are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Saturday morning, September 21, 2002 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 10:45 AM. A reception will be held in Susan’s memory immediately following the service at Stuhr’s Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Susan was born in New London, CT., a daughter of Lee W. Fisher and Beverley Waugh Fisher. She attended Strayer Junior College, Washington, DC. and was employed as a Business Specialist with Business Technology at Trident Technical College.
Surviving are her parents, RADM Lee W. Fisher, US Navy, Retired and Beverley W. Fisher of Isle of Palms, SC; her brother, Lee W. Fisher, Jr. and her nephew, Michael Fisher, both of Birmingham, AL.

FRIEDRICH, Carl
Carl William Friedrich, 76, of Isle of Palms, S.C., died in a local hospital, September 11, 2002. The husband of Charlotte Brewer Friedrich, he was the son of William A. and Hilda Betcher Friedrich. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 28, 1926, he was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Once out of the Navy, he became a Quality Engineer at an iron foundry. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Susan F. Bond of Chesapeake, Va.; four sisters, Esther F. Seelmeyer, Louisville, Ky., Helen F. Schmidt, Louise F. Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carolyn F. Keserovich, Fallbrooke, Calif., four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, 1st Lt. Paul D. Friedrich, USMC and Brian C. Friedrich. Memorial arrangements will be announced. Entered into eternal rest in a local hospital, Sunday, October 12, 2002, Mrs. Rebecca Mae Johnson, a retired Berkeley County School Teacher. The funeral service will be held, 1 p.m., Tuesday, in Cordesville United Methodist Church, Cordesville, S.C. Rev. Joseph Hasker, Pastor. Mrs. Rebecca Mae Johnson will lie in state at the church, Tuesday morning, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for viewing. There will be no viewing after the service. Mrs. Johnson was born April 11, 1926, in Cordesville. A daughter of David Johnson, Sr., and Rebecca Gathers Johnson. She attended Berkeley County Public School and graduated from Avery Normal Institute. She continued her studies at Voorhees College, and received her B.S. Degree from Allen University in Columbia, S.C. She was a member of Cordesville United Methodist Church. She served her church as a member of the trustees board and was the historian of the church. Surviving are her niece she raised and educated as her own, Margaret J. Muldrow (Linzie), grand niece Terina M. Brown (Victor), great-grandnephew, Jalen Amiel Brown, a very dear first cousin, Adam Gathers (Daisy), several nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. Mrs. Rebecca Mae Johnson will lie in state for viewing only Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Area for viewing only. HALL, Aubrey
Aubrey K. Hall, 63, of Summerville, died at a local hospital, Saturday, October 12, 2002.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 2 p.m., in Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Hall was born November 3, 1938, in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was the son of the late William J. Hall and Lula Mae Griffin Hall. Mr. Hall was a retired pipefitter with Westvaco. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Hammerton Masonic Lodge 332.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall of Summerville, three sons Phillip Hall and Aubrey K. Hall, Jr., both of Summerville, and Joseph M. Hall of Charlotte, N.C., one sister, five brothers, five grandsons and one granddaughter.

John "Wopsocket" Wright, 84, of Charleston, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 12, 2002, at his residence. He was born February 9, 1918, in Berkeley County, a son of the late Henry Wright and Rebecca Wright Marsh. He retired from ILA Local #1422.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Louise C. Wright of Charleston, S.C.; his sons, Johnny Ricky (Joanne) Wright of Goose Creek, S.C., Jake Cohen of Charleston, S.C., and Clarence (Donna) Cohen of North Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Sarah Thompson of Bonneau, S.C.; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, adopted children, Leon Kinloch and Linda Meggett Brown, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, 12 noon, at Mt. Carmel AME Church, 1059 Old Black Oak Road, Moncks Corner, S.C. Reverend Remus Harper, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel AME cemetery. There will be no wake and new viewing after the service.

Alan Pierce Shewmaker, 70, of Atlanta, Ga., husband of Grace Limehouse Shewmaker (formerly of Summerville), died October 12, 2002, in Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Limehouse Shewmaker, a daughter, Karen Latta, two sons, Chris Shewmaker and daughter-in-law, Lynn Shewmaker and Craig Shewmaker and daughter-in-law, Sonya Shewmaker, all of Atlanta, Ga., a nephew, Richard P. Shewmaker, III, of Harrodsburg, Ky., and seven grandchildren.
