Ms. Alvenia D. White, sister of the late Rev. Brister Davis, Jr. and Sadie B. Mott, died Friday, April 12, 2002 in Savannah, Ga.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga. MOORE, Carol
Carol Jaffee Moore, 57, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at home in Virginia Beach, VA.
Born September 15, 1944, in Charleston, S.C., Ms. Moore was the daughter of Rose Lipman Jaffee and the late Meyer Jaffee. She was a graduate of St. Andrews Parish High School and Conede Business School and attended the College of Charleston. She was a tax preparer and a former real estate agent.
She is survived by her mother of Charleston, two daughters, Kreela Moore of Virginia, and Kim M. Varchmin of Florida; one son, Mathew Moore of Virginia; two sisters, Janice J. Goldstein and Beverly J. Finkel of Charleston; one brother, David H. Jaffee of Charleston; 6 nephews, 3 nieces and her beloved companion, Charlie VanDusen of Virginia Beach.
Funeral services will be held graveside on Monday, April 22, 2002, at 2:00 pm at Huguenin Avenue cemetery.

KENNEDY, Jr., John
John Joseph "Buddy" Kennedy, Jr., 71, of Charleston died Tuesday in a Charleston hospital. Mr. Kennedy was born Wednesday, August 13, 1930 in Charleston the son of John Joseph and Mary L. Duane Kennedy. He was a graduate of Charleston High School, where he was a cheer leader and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Kennedy was a Geologist with Walker Laboratory in Columbia, after moving back to Charleston he was employed by the Browning Furniture Company and was a chemist at North Safety Products. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Society of Shaggers of North Myrtle Beach, the Charleston Shag Club, the Shaggers Hall of Fame. He was formerly married
to Elaine Johnson who preceded him in death. Surviving are his son, Bruce Jay Kennedy and his wife Donna Jacqueline Kennedy of Chesapeake, Va.; two grandchildren, Dalton Jay Kennedy and Clayton John Marshall Kennedy. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2002 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. BRODIE, Norma
COTTAGEVILLE - Mrs. Norma Jean Brodie, 53, of 27 Running Creek Lane died Tuesday at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at My Father's House in Cottageville with Rev. Ann Kreighbaum and Rev. Robert Walling officiating. Interment will follow in Fox cemetery, directed by the Brice Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brodie was born in Whar Cliffe, West Virginia, a daughter of the late George Arthur France and Gertrude Cline France. She was a member of My Father's House, formerly Red Oak Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was the right hand lady to the pastor and was a member of the Women's Ministry. She was a song writer, and had written over 40 songs for the Lord. She and her husband, Al, sang on many occasions for their church and other churches as well.
Surviving are her husband, Albert D. "Al" Brodie of Cottageville; three daughters, Angela Dean and Crystal Lynn Brodie, both of Cottageville and Ruth Ann Myers of Moncks Corner; two sons, Charles Canterbury, Jr. of Kermit, West Virginia and Albert Brodie, Jr. of North Woodstock, New Hampshire; a sister, Carol Cicatko of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Matthew Myers, Christina Myers, and Alexander Brodie, and her father-in-law, Lewis E. Brodie of Walterboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.
