Mr. Moore was born June 16, 1921, in Charleston, S.C., the son of Walter Allan Moore, Jr. and Rachel Brown Moore. He was a 1943 graduate of The Citadel. He was a retired plant engineer with Macalloy Corporation. He was a member of The Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul. He served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II, followed by reserve service until 1968 as a Lt. Colonel.
Mr. Moore was the current president of the Albemarle Supper Club; his other memberships included: La Societe Francaise de Bienfaisnce; The Huguenot Society of South Carolina; Carolina Yacht Club; Civil Engineers Club of Charleston; The Retired Officers Association, Charleston Chapter; Honorary member of #3137 VFW (Isle of Palms).
He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; 3 sons, Walter Allan Moore, IV, James Morrison Moore and Steven Marsh Moore; one daughter, Jeanette Moore Campbell of Beaufort, S.C.; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-sons, Robert Marion Campbell, Jr. of Beaufort, S.C. and James William Campbell of Monroeville, Ala.; one step-daughter, Anne Campbell Hudson of Monroeville, Ala. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Marsh "Toppy" Moore.

She attended her informative and collegiate schools in France. She was a Catholic and formerly managed the nursery for Menriv Naval Chapel and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of Goose Creek, S.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, William R. Cummings and Linda Dirnbauer Cummings both of Ladson, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia C. Caldwell and Samuel T. Caldwell both of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Michael and Brian Dirnbauer both of Columbia, S.C. and a great-grandson, Alex Dirnbauer of Columbia, S.C.

MCCASKILL, Mildred
Mildred Jackson McCaskill, 86, of the Methodist Oaks, Orangeburg, S.C., died Saturday, April 13, 2002 at the Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at the Stringer Chapel of the Methodist Oaks, Orangeburg, S.C. on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kemit Shrawder officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 4 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Gaither of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Hanahan, S.C. where Mrs. McCaskill was a member for many years. Born in Hamlet, N.C. on June 18, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Luther Jackson and Bessie Adams Jackson. She was a retired counter clerk and member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda H. Brigman and son-in-law G.W. of Denmark and Mary Ann Hayden and son-in-law Thomas E. of Clemson; one sister, Aliene J. Fox of San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren, Joseph T. Hayden of Clemson, Paul A. Hayden and wife Jackie of Fayetteville, N.C., Mark E. Hayden and wife Angela of Salisbury, N.C., Lynda K. Martin and husband Charles of Blythewood, Margaret Ann Emory and husband Greg of East Poland, ME., James C. Bragg and wife Kimberly of Mauldin; two step-grandsons, Barry M. Bragg and wife Leticia of San Antonio, Tex. and Gregory W. Brigman of Hartsville; and eight great-grandchildren.

VALENTIN, Josefina
Josefina Valentin, 82, of Ladson, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2002, at New Vision Church, 117 Etiwan Drive, Goose Creek, S.C.
Born October 10, 1919, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Aurelio Diaz Perez and Juana Sierra Gonzalez.
Mrs. Valentin was a nurse's aide at a local hospital. She was a member of the New Vision Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Survivors include four daughters, Annie Saari, of Summerville, Hilda Moreno of Orlando, Fla., Irma Valentin of Orlando, Florida, Neddie Serra-Valentin of Hanover, N.J.; two sons, Ricky Valentin of Ladson, Alex Valentin of Milford Square, Penn.; two sisters, Lydia Diaz or Orlando, Fla. and Maria Diaz of Puerto Rico; 25 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Valentin was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon J. Valentin; a daughter, Maria Valentin and a son Ray Valentin.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17, 2002, from 5-9 p.m. each night at the New Vision Church, 117 Etiwan Drive, Goose Creek, S.C. 29445.
