TIMMONS, Mildred
Mildred Leona Weaver Timmons, 73, of Charleston, died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held on Monday evening, April 16, 2002 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
Born in Lake City, on March 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert Dudley Weaver and Elma Owens Weaver. Mrs. Timmons was a sales clerk for K-Mart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She attended Sauldam Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Elaine Rudd of Charleston, Pauline Hill of Ridgeville, Eulalia Postell of Ravenel, Linda Timmons of Ravenel and Ruth Morris of Ravenel; two sons, Bruce Timmons of Walterboro and Benjamin Timmons of Cottageville; a sister, Corrine Yellin, of Claremont, Calif.; and a brother, Raymond Weaver of Goose Creek; eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Timmons was married
to Noble Bruce Timmons. She was preceded by a grandson, Bill Postell, Jr.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to MUSC Alzheimers Research Fund, in care of Volunteer Services.

DUCKWORTH, Nina
Nina B. Usry Duckworth, 93, died unexpectedly on the morning of Monday, April 15, 2002 in a local health care facility. Her funeral service will be 11:00 o'clock Thursday, April 18, 2002 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Stuhr's Greenridge Rd. Chapel.
Mrs. Duckworth was born August 7, 1909 in Granville County, North Carolina a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Bessie Overton Usry. She was formerly a sales representative with Olan Mills Portrait Studios in Chattanooga, Tenn. and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Iris and James Rentz, with whom she had made her home in Goose Creek and her son and daughter-in-law, James and Judy Brummitt of Glendora, California. Also surviving are her sisters, Bess Peterson of Charlotte, N.C. and Edna Slade of Cary, N.C., as well as 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

PAUL, Grace
CONWAY - Grace Lois Paul Paul, age 89, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Siler City, N.C., following an illness.
Mrs. Paul was born in Horry County a daughter of the late Needham Davis and Mary Elizabeth Gore Paul. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Conway and was a retired seamstress with the Jerry Cox Company. She was predeceased by her husband James Moses Paul, Sr.
Surviving are, three daughters, Mary Burriss Ratliff of Sanford and her husband Tom, Lois P. Carson of Merry Hill, N.C., and Eunice P. Cox of Moncks Corner; two sons, James M. Paul, Jr., of Cayce and his wife Linda and Samuel J. Paul of Sumter and his wife Ruth; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church of Conway with the Rev. Steve Hadden and Rev. J. Anderson Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest cemetery, directed by GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, CONWAY CHAPEL.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

CROWTHER, Patrick
CLEMSON - Mr. Patrick Henry Crowther, age 87, a lifelong resident of Anderson County, until a recent move to Clemson Downs, Clemson, S.C., died April 15, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center, Anderson, S.C. He was born December 19, 1914, and was the youngest of the four sons of Lillian Brown and Jesse Paul Crowther, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a 1936 graduate of Clemson College and was a founding member of the Anderson County Board of Realtors having served as a past president. Pat had also been an active volunteer, supporter and a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Anderson where he had served as a deacon. Pat had earlier been a member of the Anderson First Baptist Church where he also had served as a deacon.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Betty Marshall Crowther; two sons and their families, Carroll and Nancy Crowther of Beaufort, S.C., and Pat and Teddee Crowther of Clemson, S.C.; four grandsons and their families, Logan and Cindy Crowther of Beaufort, Billy and Karie Ann Crowther and Marshall Crowther both of Charleston, S.C., and Lee Crowther of Clemson and three great-grandchildren. A niece, Betty Jane Beall of Columbia, S.C., and a nephew, Paul Crowther of Miami, Fla., also survive him.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 12 noon at Old Silverbrook cemetery in Anderson, S.C., with Dr. David J. Bailey. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the MCDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 1404 N. Boulevard, Anderson, S.C. 29621, or to a charity or scholarship fund of one's choice.

HAMON, Robert
Robert W. Hamon, 65, of Goose Creek, died on the morning of Friday, April 12, 2002, in a Charleston hospital after a lengthy illness. His funeral service was conducted at 11 o'clock, Monday, April 15, 2002, at the Cathedral of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston. Interment, with full military honors, followed at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements were coordinated by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL.
Mr. Hamon was born in Borger, Texas, on November 29, 1936, a son of the late Paddy (Pat) and Eula Miller Hamon. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service. He more recently retired from the DuPont facility at Bushy Park, Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy Bane Hamon, his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Pamela Hamon of North Charleston; his daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kingsbury and Kevin Shea of North Charleston, his daughter, Kathy Rhodes of Daniel Island, and his grandsons, Brandon and Jared Kingsbury and Tony Glen Hamon, Jr. His brothers, Pat Hamon of North Charleston, Bill Hamon of Millen, Ga., his sisters, Betty Lankford of Hanahan, Wanda Kirkland of North Charleston, and his twin sisters, Helene Bailey of Summerville and Ilene Mullins of Vicksburg, Miss., also survive.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Robert B. Miller of Charleston; two daughters, Barbara M. Murdaugh of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Terri M. Jones of Stuart, Florida; a son, David Miller of James Island; a sister, Daisy Kelly of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Arthur Driggers of Destin, Fla., and Bobby Driggers of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Krissy Murdaugh, Melissa Jones, Patrick Jones, Gracie Miller and Chip Miller.

Mr. Sahlmann was born September 2, 1943, in Charleston, S.C., the son of the late Carson John Sahlmann and wife Mary Alicia Smith Sahlmann Hendricks. Mr. Sahlmann was a graduate of Moultrie High School and attended Spartanburg Junior College and the Baptist College of Charleston. He was a Master Sergeant with the 81st Aerial Post Squadron, 315th Air Wing and served in the National Guards. He was a Sales Representative with SellEthics Inc.
Surviving are his wife of Goose Creek, S.C.; two sons, John Andrew Sahlmann and wife MaryAnn Sahlmann both of Cottageville, S.C., Jacob Alan Sahlmann of Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Susan Amanda Sahlmann Smith and husband Danny Smith both of Goose Creek, S.C., Jesica Anne Sahlmann of Goose Creek, S.C.; one brother, James Carson Sahlmann of North Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Hannah Smith and Kayce Dew. Mr. Sahlmann was preceded in death by a son, Brian Albert Sahlmann.
