Van Earl Fillingim, Jr., 79, formerly of Columbia, S.C. and Knoxville, Tenn. passed away April 11, 2002. Relatives and friends are invited to call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2002 from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. A graveside service will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 2:00 o'clock. ZEALY, Jr., Jospeh
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Saturday, April 13, 2002, Joseph Dupont Zealy, Jr., husband of the late Mary Powers Zealy, residence, Charleston, S.C. Mr. Zealy was born in Yonges Island, S.C., the son of Joseph Dupont Zealy, Sr. and Minnie Lowher Zealy. He was a Methodist and retired with 37 years service as a Pulp Mill Foreman with Westvaco. He was a decorated veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are three daughters, Annette Z. Gaillard, Linda Z. Mathis, Montene Z. Shokes, and one son, Joseph D. Zealy, III, all of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Lottie Z. Smallwood of Huffman, Tex. and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. preceded in death by a brother, Oscar T. Zealy.

CLEMENT, Frank
Mr. Frank Melvin Clement, 56, of 14 Tovey Road, died Thursday, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at St. Andrews Pentecostal Holiness Church in Charleston. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, directed by the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME.
Mr. Clement was born in Charleston County, a son of Mildred Hardin Clement and the late Frank Milton Clement. He attended Citadel Square Baptist Church and was a teacher with the Charleston County School District. He acquired a master's degree from the Citadel, and received his doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Charleston are a brother and sister-in-law. Rev. Don and Beverly Clement of St. George, a niece and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, at St. Andrews Holiness Church in Charleston.

KIMBEL, SR., Robert
Robert W. Kimbel, Sr., 85, longtime resident of North Charleston died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at his home. Born May 21, 1916 in Savannah, Tennessee he was the son of Hundley Broyles and Bertha Kimbel. Mr. Kimbel served in the U.S. Marine Corps during W.W.II. He retired as a supervisor from the Charleston Army Depot. He is survived by his wife Jarvis Kimbel; three children, Robert W. Kimbel, Jr., Goose Creek, Patsy Blizzard and Peggy Feltus both of Hanahan; two brothers, Luke Kimbel, Tennessee and John Chandler Kimbel, Tennessee; three sisters, Rebecca Ann Freeman, Tennessee, Louise Hambie, Tennessee and Maude Turner, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Christie Lackey, Robert Kimbel, III, Clay Kimbel, Tammy Pfeiffer, Richie Richmond, Angela Richmond, Sydney Pitts, Annette Greenway, and Heather Byrge; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
