Mr. Ramsey was born in Williams, S.C., the son of Willie Lee Ramsey and Sarah Viola Strickland Ramsey. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. He served in the Army during W.W.II. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and VFW.
Surviving are his wife of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Cheryl Ramsey King and son-in-law, Jerry King of Conway, S.C.; two sisters, Cora Ruppert of Charleston, S.C., and Ruth Cox of Moulten, Ala.; one brother, Joseph J. Ramsey of Charleston, S.C.; two granddaughters, Renee King of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tina King of Murrells Inlet, S.C.
GIFFORD, Melva
Melva Lyerly Gifford, 80, widow of Joseph Gifford, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at her residence. All funeral services will be private. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Mrs. Gifford was born in Asheville, N.C., a daughter of Paul H. and Sara G. Lyerly. She lived on the Isle of Palms for 35 years and was employed by the Palms Restaurant, Isle of Palms, S.C.
Surviving are two cousins of Asheville, N.C., and one cousin of Palm Bay, Fla. In her later years, she resided at the home of her close friends, Jack, JoAnn and their daughter, June Dangerfield of Summerville, S.C. She is also survived by her friend, Malcolm Burgis of the Isle of Palms.

Surviving are his wife of Seabrook Island, S.C.; two sons, Harvey Sewell of Seabrook Island, S.C., and Norman Sewell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, June Sewell Foster of Baytown, Texas; six grandchildren, William Sewell Foster of Austin, Texas, Lane Foster Harrell of Austin, Texas, Susan Frickman of Charleston, S.C., Winston Sewell of Charleston, S.C., Norman Sewell, Jr., of Chandler, Ariz., and Eric Sewell of Columbia, S.C.; five great-grandchildren.

DAVIS, Harry
MULLINS, S.C. - Mr. Harry Fulton Davis, 56, husband of Jackie Turner Davis, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Stanley Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Davis cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born February 7, 1946 in Marion County, a son of the late William Oscar "W.O." Davis, Jr. and the late Josie Brymer Davis. Mr. Davis was a general mechanic with Smurfit-Stone, where he had worked for 33 years. He was a board member and vice president of the SCI Credit Union. Mr. Davis was a member of Ariel Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Davis in addition to his wife of the home are, a daughter, Kim Davis of Mullins; a son, Rusty Davis and his wife Ashley of Mullins; a stepson, Mitchell Nolan and his wife Sabrina of Mullins; a stepdaughter, Christy Brewton and her husband of Fritz of Albany, Ga.; 2 sisters, Ann D. Lawrence of Lake City and Lin Davis of Pittsboro, N.C.; 3 brothers, William Brymer of Mullins, Jerry Davis of Sharpsburg, N.C. and Ronnie Davis of Vacaville, Calif.; and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at COX-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
MOULTRIE, Harry
WALTERBORO - Harry "Boogie" Moultrie, 51, died April 8, 2002 in a local Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2002, in W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center in Summerville. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Gardens in Ruffin.
Mr. Moultrie was born in Colleton County, a son of the late William Moultrie, Jr. and Elder Mazie S. Moultrie. He received his education in the public schools in Colleton County. He was a member of W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center.
Surviving are his wife, Caffey B. Moultrie of the home; two daughters, Tarisha Fields of Columbus, Ga., and Niambi Bell of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons, Imamu Moultrie of Walterboro and Melvin Owens of Moorehead City, N.C.; four brothers, Charles, William Rogers, Earl and John Wesley Moultrie; four sisters, Cecelia Shider, Ethel Ford, Janet Reed and Daisy Belvins.

Joseph Larry Morelli, 76, of Aiken, husband of Mrs. Vernell Morelli, died Thursday, April 4, 2002. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. Born June 13, 1925, in Charleston, S.C. He was the son of the late Joseph G. and Ruth Alma Morelli. He attended the Central Baptist Church. Survivors included his wife; sons, Marc A. Morelli, of Charleston, C.
