BONNEAU, S.C. - Mrs. Carla Craig Campbell, 30, of Bonneau, S.C., died Monday morning at a Charleston hospital.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg. Rev. Donnie L. Starnes, Jr., will officiate. THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., IN ORANGEBURG, is handling the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Robinson, T.J. Robinson, Mark Robinson, Mark Jenkins, Jerry Lewis, Frank Leysath.
Mrs. Campbell was born April 29, 1971, in Lancaster, S.C. She was the daughter of Wade Craig and Sandra Timmons Craig. She was a 1989 graduate of Edisto High School and a 1993 graduate of Columbia College with a BSW. She was employed as a social worker by Dorchester Department of Social Services.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Joseph Campbell of Bonneau, S.C.; her parents, Wade Craig and Sandra T. Craig, both of Neeses; one brother, Kenny Craig and sister-in-law, Terry Craig both of Neeses; maternal grandmother, Sybil Timmons of Lancaster; paternal grandmother, Ruby Craig of Lancaster; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Charles Campbell both of Moncks Corner; sister-in-law, Tina Campbell of Moncks Corner; number of aunts and uncles and three nephews.

BROPHY, Vickie
Vickie Barnes Brophy, 57, of Moncks Corner, died Tuesday at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in Westview cemetery.
Mrs. Brophy was born January 31, 1945, at Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Norval Barnes and Georgia Newell Barnes. She was a Methodist.
Surviving are her husband, John Brophy of Moncks Corner; mother, Georgia Newell Barnes of Moncks Corner; three sons, John C. Brophy of Dorchester; James M. Brophy and Kevin Noel Brophy both of Moncks Corner; brother, Norval A. Barnes of Moncks Corner; sister, Margaret B. Duszak of Summerville; five grandchildren.

DRIGGERS, Essie
Essie Rebecca Driggers, 94, of Moncks Corner, a retired cafeteria worker with Berkeley High School, died Monday at a Mt. Pleasant hospital.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Driggers was born August 14, 1907, at Berkeley County, a daughter of Hampton P. Driggers and Martha Burbage Driggers. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the Gold and Silver Ladies Society.
Surviving are two nieces, Sandra Senterfeit of Charleston; Cecil Clark of Moncks Corner; two nephews, David M. Driggers, Jr., of Key West, Fla.; Frankie Driggers of Moncks Corner; several grandnieces and nephews; several great-grandnieces and nephews.

FREEMAN, Sr., William
Mr. William "Larry" Freeman, Sr., 58, of 101 Howard St., in Varnville, died Monday afternoon at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Freeman was born in Hampton County, August 20, 1943, a son of the late John Frank and Elihue Terry Freeman. He had retired from the Shipping Department at International Paper in Hampton after 35 years of service, and owned and operated Freeman's Awards and Gifts in Varnville for 25 years. He was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees and had been active in many church activities including being one of the founders of the Hampton County Church Softball League. He had been active in many Civic Organizations including serving on the Varnville Town Council for 14 years and as Mayor ProTem for four years. He was a football coach with the Hampton-Varnville Little League Football Program, and was a member of the South Carolina Football Officials Association, and the Lowcountry Football Association. He was past President of the Hampton Varnville Booster Club, and was named Rotarian Citizen of the Year. He had recently been Honored by having the new Varnville Ball Park and Recreation area named in his honor, and was a member and officer of the Varnville Fire Department, where he was instrumental in forming the Hampton County Fire Board. He served as a member of the South Carolina Municipal Association, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Surviving are, his wife, Kate P. Freeman of Varnville; one son, William "Bill" Freeman, Jr., of Statesboro, Ga.; three daughters, Sandra Freeman Schwerin of Charleston, Carla Freeman DuBose of Thomasville, Ga., and Christina Freeman Smith of Lexington; one brother, Lewis Freeman of Hampton; and three sisters, Melda Kinard of Hampton, Dot Long of Brunson, and Eileen Sanders of Hampton. There are five grandchildren. He was pre-deceased in death by a brother, Lockwood Freeman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in the Hampton United Methodist Church, with burial in the Varnville cemetery directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON.

Mr. Greening was born February 22, 1955, in Tampa, Fla., the son of Ivan Albert Greening and Aurora Somitican Greening.

Ursula Strickland Brickmann, 89, of Charleston died Monday, April 8th at a local assisted living home. Mrs. Brickmann was born February 20, 1913 in Augusta, Ga. to the late William Franklin Strickland and Bertha Leake Strickland and has been a life long resident of Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Brickmann is predeceased by her husband, Burchard Pelzer Brickmann. She is survived by her cousins, Elizabeth McNeill, Robert S. Scaffe, Norma Jean McNeill, and numerous other cousins all of Charleston. She was a former secretary at the Church of the Holy Communion and was employed at the Charleston Naval Yard during W.W.II. She was a member of the Riverland Terrace Garden Club and a member of the Altar Guild at the Church of the Holy Communion. Tamatha Marie "Tami" Shealy, 33, died on the morning of Sunday, April 7, 2002 at her home near Carnes Crossroads, Moncks Corner. Her memorial service will be conducted 11:00 o'clock Thursday, April 11, 2002 in Harleyville Christian Church. Rev. Bill Ackerman will officiate. Inurnment will be private. Tami was born at the Naval Hospital in Charleston on June 25, 1968, the daughter of Martha Risher Paul of Moncks Corner and the late Robert C. Paul. Tami attended Berkeley County Schools and was a substitute teacher with Dorchester County Schools.
In addition to her mother, Tami is survived by her husband, Glenn Shealy, her daughters, Tiffany Ashley Paul and Miranda Shealy and her son, Steven "Ricky" Conley. She is also survived by her brother, Christopher "Chris" Paul as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and friends.
