Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of April 1, 2002, Dorothy J. Coker, widow of Bill Stewart Coker. Residence, North Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Coker was preceded in death by a son, Robert S. Coker. The relatives and friends of Dorothy J. Coker are invited to attend her funeral services in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Greenridge Road Chapel, Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2002 at 4:00 o'clock. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL this (Wednesday) evening between 6:00 and 8:00 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of North Charleston, 4217 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. 29405.
Mrs. Coker was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 5, 1923, the daughter of the late William Henry Raper and Viola Jones Raper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Farragut High School, Knoxville, Tenn. and a volunteer with the Gray Ladies of Charleston Naval Hospital.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul S. and Delores A. Coker, Dorchester, S.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joye C. and William H. Peagler of Cross, S.C., Kay C. and Vince C. Ott of Goose Creek, S.C.; one daughter-in-law, B.J. Coker of Columbia, S.C., widow of Robert S. Coker; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Comeau, Katherine Webb both of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Lou Raper, Claudine Lawson, Dot Overton all of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Hadie S. Coker of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews.
TAYLOR, Catherine
Catherine Keith Taylor, 50, wife of Michael J. Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. died Friday, March 29, 2002 at her residence. The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. Michael J. Taylor are invited to attend the memorial services for Cathy on Saturday, April 6, 2002 in Seacoast Community Church, Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. Mrs. Taylor was born in Glasgow, Scotland, a daughter of James and Catherine Keith. She was a member of Seacoast Community Church and former employee and Volunteer Coordinator of Lutheran Services Society.
Her surviving family are her husband of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., her mother, Catherine Stewart Keith of Aldridge, England, one daughter, Lindsay Catherine Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., one son, Ross James Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and one sister, Elizabeth Llewellyn of Lilleshall, England.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Hollings Cancer Center, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, P.O. Box 250955, Charleston, S.C. 29425 or Seacoast Community Church, (Missions Fund), 750 Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
CLARK, Mary
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 31, 2002, Mary Perkins Clark, wife of Robert E. Clark. Residence, James Island, SC. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of Mrs. Mary Lou Wise on Thursday, April 4th between two and five o'clock.
Mrs. Clark was born July 13, 1921 in Castine, Maine, the daughter of Frederick Carleton Perkins and Hattie Belle Sawyer Perkins.
She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Frances Perkins Clark of McLean, VA.; 2 sons: Robert E. Clark, Jr. and his wife Gail and John Sawyer Clark of Clemson, SC; one sister: Anita Perkins Mortimer of Lewiston, ME.; one nephew: Bruce Mortimer of Winthrop, ME. and several grand nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Ste. #504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or to a charity of one's choice.

HARPER, M. Catherine
Marie Catherine Harper age 78, of Charleston, S.C. died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2002.
Miss Harper graduated form Winthrop University in 1945 and retired from North Charleston High School in 1980 after 35 years of teaching history and serving as chairperson of the Social Studies Dept. Since her retirement she worked with Historic Charleston Bed and Breakfast, Heyward-Washington House, and a volunteer with "Meals-on-Wheels".
She was an active member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church for over 50 yrs. She was a member of Fort Sullivan Chapter, National Society of D.A.R., Nu Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa teacher's soriety, affiliated with with N.E.A., S.C.E.A., and C.C.E.A. More recently a member of the Charleston County Retired Educators. She was a member of the Charleston Museum, Carolina Art Ass., Charleston Symphony Ass., and Charleston Concert Ass.
Catherine traveled all over the world. Her trips took her to Canada, Mexico, all of the British Isles, Europe, Greece, China, Russia, South America, Cuba, Eastern Europe, Alaska, Isreal, and Egypt.
Miss Harper was born in Kingstree, the daughter of Dr. Walter Haskell Harper and Marie Peterson Harper. She is survived by her sister, Ann D. Harper, nieces, Claire Weekley, Jean Rhodes, Jaye Fore, and Kitty Williams and their families.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First (Scots) Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity. A memorial is planned for a later date.
RAMSEY, Courtney
Entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2002, Master Courtney Ramsey of New York City, formerly of 1582 Old Whitesville Road, Moncks Corner, S.C. The beloved son of Kimberly Ramsey and Carlos Cespedes. Brother of Whittney Ramsey, grandson of Sharon Ramsey and Archie Reed, nephew of Tanzy Milligan.

KING, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Hamlin King of Charleston, SC died Sunday, March 31, 2002. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 3, 2002 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Friends may call at Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to service.
Miss King was born in Mount Pleasant, SC, a daughter of Langdon C. and Emily H. King. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and completed a two year course in Christian Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Miss King was Secretary at First Baptist Church, Charleston, SC for thirty-seven years where she was a member.
Surviving are a sister, Gertrude King Appleby, two nieces, Emily Ann Barbero and Nancy King Longest, and one nephew, Langdon Cheves King, Jr. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 48 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC.
PAGE, Mark
Mark Shawn Page, 37, of Cottageville, died Saturday.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at 2 o'clock in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening.

Born on October 9, 1964, in Minot, North Dakota, a son of MSGT. Paul Robert and Sandra Richmond Page, USAF (Ret.) of Toney, Alabama. He was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a member of Low Country Harley-Davidson Association and Colleton County ABATE. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served on the U.S.S. Moosbrugger DD-980 stationed in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was a crane operator with Mobile Crane Service. He was Methodist.
Surviving are his parents of Toney, Alabama; a fiancée and her son, Dana and Dakotah Snelgrove of Cottageville, S.C.; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Christopher Glen and Trista Page of Tampa, Fla., Paul Lindsay and Melody Page of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; 2 nieces, Keeley Katherine Page of Tampa, Fla., and Chelsea Anne Page of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; paternal grandfather, Rev. Walter A. Page of Toney, Alabama.

LEPPERT, Susan
Susan L. Leppert, 99, wife of David S. Leppert, Sr., died Thursday, March 28, 2002 in Norman, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 4, 2002 in Ocean Grove United Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock.
Mrs. Leppert was born February 7, 1903, in Awendaw, S.C., a daughter of Brittin and Margaret M. White. She lived in Awendaw and Charleston, where she married
David S. Leppert on March 1, 1939. Together they traveled all over the country as he pursued a 25 year career in the Air Force. They moved to Norman, Okla. in 1992 to be near their son.
Mrs. Leppert is survived by her husband, David Leppert of the home; her son, Dave Leppert, Jr. and his wife, Sheila of Norman, Okla., a brother, Norton E. White and a sister, Laura Elaine McConnell, both of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two granddaughters, Lynda L. Leppert of Boise, Idaho and Laura Leppert-Murphy and her husband, Ken and two great-granddaughters, Elisa and Kayla Murphy, all of Morehead City, N.C. She is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

ANDREWS, David
ANDREWS - David Michael Andrews, 42, of Charleston died Thursday, March 28th at his residence. Born Newark, N.J. to the late Roland and Gladys Thelma Gentry Andrews, Sr. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Andrews was a member of New Life Assembly of God and was employed with Jimmy Andrews Cabinet Insulations. He was a former baseball coach for the Cooper River Parks and Recreation. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Thelma Elizabeth Andrews of Hopewell, Virginia, three brothers, Jimmy Andrews of Cottageville, S.C., Roland Andrews, Jr., and Wayne Andrews both of Charleston. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 3rd at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Further funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
BERGEN, Luther
Luther M. Bergen, 85, of Hanahan, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at Heartland Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Born December 29, 1916, in Brigham City, Utah, he was a son of the late Luther M. and Marie E. Bjorndal Bergen. He was a graduate of Box Elder High School, where he played football and played in the band. He is a graduate of Utah State University with a BS Degree in Biology. Immediately after graduating, he joined the U.S. Air Force. After basic training, he was sent to England with the 8th Air Force. He completed 25 missions before being wounded. After his recovery he was sent to the Pacific with the 20th Air Force. After the war ended he returned to Charleston and took a teaching job at Murray Vocation High School. He received a National Science Foundation Scholarship to the University of Virginia where he received a Masters Degree in Education. He became Principal of Murray Vocation High School, later Moultrie High School and was the first principal of Wando High School where he retired from teaching. While he was with Charleston County School District, he served as president of Charleston County Education Association. He was also on Coastal Carolina Conference of Athletics Committee. He served 20 years with North Charleston Zoning Board of Adjustment. While in the service, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, The Air Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Purple Heart, also a Certificate of Valor from the President of the United States. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Lt. Col. He is a past member of Retired Air Force Association, National Retired Teachers of Charleston. Also a past member of the Civitan of Charleston. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was an elder.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. Bergen of the home; two sons, Luther M. Bergen, III of Spartanburg and Allen J. Bergen of Columbia; two sisters, Neoma M. Emery and Lucy Irine Earl both of Brigham City, Utah; a brother, Karl L. Bergen, of St. George, Utah; three granddaughters and one grandson.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, April 2, 2002.
