RHODES, Jr., Raymond
Raymond Carey Rhodes, Jr., 50, of Summerville, husband of Connie Snow Rhodes, died Monday morning at his residence.
Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville, on Wednesday, April 3, 2002, from 10 o'clock until 12 noon. A graveside service will be held following the viewing in White Church cemetery, Summerville.

Mr. Rhodes was born December 6, 1951, in Charleston, S.C., a son of Margaret Lillian Hilton Rhodes of Ladson and the late Raymond Carey Rhodes, Sr. He attended Stall High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was an over the road owner and operator driving for Lawrence Transportation Systems.
Surviving are, his mother, Margaret H. Rhodes of Ladson; wife, Connie S. Rhodes of Summerville; three sons, SRA. Raymond C. Rhodes III, USAF of Wichita, Kans., David C. Rhodes of Miami, Fla., Patrick S. Rhodes of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Teena M. Rhodes of Miami, Fla.; two step-daughters, Dujuna S. Thomas of Virginia Beach, Va., Cristle M. Romanski of Ladson, S.C.; two brothers, Terry W. Rhodes of Summerville, S.C., Franklin L. Rhodes of North Charleston, S.C.; nine grandchildren.

VICKERY, Frank
Frank Levi Vickery, 88, of North Charleston, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held, 2 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Born October 8, 1913, in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Joseph Ishum Vickery and Maude Susie Sawyer. He was a retired machinist from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and a member of the First Baptist Church of North Charleston. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include, wife, Ruby Watt Vickery, of North Charleston, daughters, Frankie V. Kennedy, of Hanahan, P. Jackie Vickery, of Hanahan, sisters, Josephine Huffman, of Greenville, Juanita Campbell, of Greenville, brothers, Edwin Vickery, of Greenville, Lloyd Vickery, of Walterboro, and a granddaughter, Shawn R. ISLE OF PALMS - Lynda Free Argoe, 66, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2002. Graveside services were held at Norway cemetery in Norway, S.C. THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., ORANGEBURG, S.C., was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Argoe was born December 22, 1935, in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Harry Free and Olivette Phin Free. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Argoe was a graduate of Norway High School.
Survivors include, husband, Hampton A. Argoe of Isle of Palms; three daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Rhonda) Peterson, Mrs. Dean (Sherry) Lowder, both of Isle of Palms, and Mrs. Ronald (Robin) Rickter, Jr., of Folly Beach; son, Jonathan A. Argoe of Isle of Palms; sister, Sara Hope Rodgers of Greenville; two brothers, Phin Free of Florence and Sandy Free of Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Morgan Lowder, Logan Lowder, and Jay Argoe all of Isle of Palms; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Joan Irwin Coit, 75, of 38 Gibbs St., Charleston, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at Bishop Gadsen Healthcare. A native of Lawrence, Kansas, Mrs. Coit is the daughter of the late Albert and Amy B. Irwin. She was the wife of the late Roland Coit.
Mrs. Coit was a homemaker and former secretary.
She is survived by her sons, Craig Irwin and (Kate) Coit of Chicago, Ill., and Kent Alan and (Gail) Coit of Boston, Mass., a daughter, Claudia and (David) Cohen, of Charleston, S.C., a sister, Jean Irwin Thompson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and five grandchildren.

MIZZELL, Alida
Alida Rollins Arrants Mizzell, 82, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at a Charleston hospital.
Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late George O. Rollins and the late Aline Woodham Rollins.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie de Tournillon; and a sister, Beaney Lee Polin both of Charleston.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Tillers cemetery in the Turkey Creek Community with Rev. Dale Warren officiating.

O'NEILL, Charlotte
Charlotte Keith (Furman) O'Neill, 78, of La Quinta, Calif., and formerly of Charleston, S.C., and Elgin, Ill., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Eisenhower Medical Center, Rancho Mirage, Calif. She was born, February 12, 1924, in Charleston, S.C., to Frank Heyward Furman and Annie May Johnson. She attended Memminger High School and the College of Charleston. She married
George M. O'Neill in 1943. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, West Dundee, Ill. She was an avid golfer and tennis player, loved travel, literature and crossword puzzles. "Granny" will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, George, of 59 years; three children, George (Treva) O'Neill, Jr., of Carbondale, Ill., Furman (Patricia) O'Niell of Carpentersville, Ill., and Peggy (Chris) Tiger of Palm Desert, Calif.; four grandchildren, Breton (Rob) Fierstein, Erin O'Neill, Shannon O'Neill an Dana O'Neill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Frances Furman Jordan.
